XuanRong turned her head and looked at Xiao Lou.
Showing her confused face, she asked innocently.

XuanRong's eyes darted towards Xu Ji An and saw him ran, trying to catch XuanFei. XuanRong smiled deprecatingly. Although she no longer had any feelings towards Xu ji An, she remembered her previous self. She was a fool for not noticing the truth.
'How pitiful.'
XuanRong could not help but mock herself when she recalled her previous stupidity over Xu Ji An, wanting his love while begging for his attention.

Xiao Lou once again screamed. She shoved one of the servants, trying to hasten the servant's pace. The entire room was very chaotic. The servants were running left and right. Xu Ji An was kneeling on the ground, supporting the weak XuanFei while Xiao Lou was beside him.
Amidst the chaos, XuanRong was calmly standing at the side, not planning to include herself in the fiasco.

After leaving Xiao Lou's courtyard, XuanRong's footsteps were light and unhurried. She took the opportunity to stroll around the residence's garden. Ever since she arrived at the prime minister's residence, she only stayed inside her courtyard. She was practically living in a secluded life, and XuanRong did not care.
XuanRong saw a butterfly flying beside her. She could not help but raise her hand, wanting to touch it. Suddenly, before she could even touch it with her fingertips, her left arm was grabbed by someone. On reflex, XuanRong subconsciously pulled back her left arm while her right palm swung forward, slapping the hand that was gripping her arm. She was distracted by the butterfly's beauty and was not able to notice that someone was sneaking behind her.

When she turned her head, she saw Xu Ji An, panting heavily. He was looking at her intensely.
"Rong'er…"
Hearing Xu Ji An call her intimately, XuanRong could not help but shiver in disgust. She really hated it whenever Xu Ji An acted like he was familiar with her.
XuanRong's face showed an indifferent expression.

XuanRong turned and walked away.

Another week passed and Long Hao Chen's group successfully arrived at the Capital of Qian Zou.
Long Hao Chen was staring outside the carriage. The Capital's gate was bustling. Many people were entering and leaving the capital, making the entire gate full of people.

"The Imperial Family of Qian Zou did not like to be near the places where commoners reside, thus, the Imperial Palace is at the elevated side of the capital and is being encircled by different noble residences. The capital's gate is where the commoners enter and exit, why would the Imperial Family live near here?"
Hearing Chu Ji Qing's plausible explanation, Long Hao Chen nodded in agreement.
When the carriage reached the market, Chu Ji Qing ordered the coachman to stop the carriage at the nearest inn.
"Your Highness, this subordinate will leave for now. Please do not walk around on your own."
Long Hao Chen only nodded and did not ask anything. He knew that visiting Qian Zou in order to celebrate the emperor's birthday was only secondary. They had much more important plan that needs to be accomplished.
When Chu Ji Qing left, Long Hao Chen brought three imperial guards and decided to visit the stalls outside the inn they occupied.
He was only strolling when suddenly, a small child ran forward and collided with him. Long Hao Chen lowered his head and saw his dress being ruined by a sticky candy. Anger rose inside his heart. He raised his hand, wanting to slap the child when a female voice suddenly spoke behind him.
"A man trying to bully a child? Heh.. such an embarrassment!"
