Old man shi grabbed one syringe and injected it into Zhi Ruo's arms saying,"It will help you with pain. I will ask your grandma to clean up the wound before applying medicine."

Patting her head old man Shi said in a gentle tone,"Sleep. When you get up the pain will be long gone."

Old man Shi tried to console her while he checked other parameters to make sure about other injuries. Qing Shan who was standing at the side was completely confused about the relationship between the old man and his wife.

Zhi Ruo's hand clenched into fists hearing old man Shi consoling her, tear's started flowing down from her eyes. Qing Shan who saw this thought it was because the pain was unbearable while the old man knew it was not an physical instead emotional pain which she had to bear throughout her life.

Zhi Ruo unknowingly fell asleep while crying.

Calling his wife, the old man instructed her to clean and bandage Zhi Ruo's wounds before he took Qing Shan along with him to the hall.

Old man Shi took his seat opposite Qing Shan. Smiling at Qing Shan he said with melancholy,"Last time I saw you, you were pretty young. Look at you all grown up and mature."

"How are you related to my wife?"Qing Shan asked with a straight tone. His voice had no fluctuations but his eyes had a deep vortex forming inside it.

Clearing his throat old man Shi answered,"That is something you should ask your wife."

Not that he did not want to answer, it was just he felt it would be appropriate for him to know about their relationship from Zhi Ruo.

"I never thought Chief commander would be connected to my wife..."Qing Shan spoke sarcastically

Smiling gently old man Shi got up and started walking towards a picture frame. Touching it softly he answered,"There are many things you don't know Shan'er."
