Chapter 7 - Extracting The Poison

Two years ago, Yan Shi Fei had been injured by an Innate Realm Violet Underworld Cloud Beast while exploring deep in the Violet Cloud Mountains. The beast's poison had entered her bones, and even after 2 years, she hadn't been able to fully extract it. Even the Violet Cloud County's only Master Alchemist was unable to do anything.

Luckily, Xiao Yun's Martial Spirit could extract the poison from Yan Shi Fei every time it acted up, which saved her life.

This had continued for 2 years.

As such, the relationship between Xiao Yun and this young woman became quite intimate.

The poison was located on Yan Shi Fei's back, behind her heart, so it was a bit inconvenient to extract it.

Xiao Yun's Martial Spirit couldn't properly extract the poison if there were clothes in the way, so Xiao Yun would always wait behind the screen for Yan Shi Fei.

Xiao Yun had always been quite concerned about Yan Shi Fei's poison, because the reason she had been poisoned was related to him.

Back then, Yan Shi Fei had gone to the Violent Cloud Mountain to look for Violent Vine's soul. However, she found a Fire Origin, where there was a Thousand Year Fire Essence Ginseng. She decided to retrieve it to give to Xiao Yun, in the hopes that it would help with Xiao Ling'Er's Chilling Qi.

Who would have thought that she would be ambushed by Violent Underworld Cloud Beast? Not only was she unable to obtain the Fire Essence Ginseng, she was not able to even obtain a Violet Vine's soul.

Xiao Yun had always felt guilty about this.

"Little brother Xiao Yun, I'm ready." A weak, yet bewitching voice rang out, which caused Xiao Yun's heart to tremble. His eyebrows raised as he took a deep breath and walked towards the violet bed.

After walking through the curtain, Xiao Yun came over to the bed and saw an incredibly beautiful young woman.

"So beautiful."

Xiao Yun couldn't help but praise her as he walked over.

"Lil guy, what are you looking at?" Yan Shi Fei's face became slightly red as she glanced at him, as if she could feel his gaze that was filled with appreciation.

"Big sister's so pretty," Xiao Yun murmured.

"You little kid. What do you know?" Yan Shi Fei rolled her eyes at Xiao Yun.

"I'm not a kid anymore," Xiao Yun said, feeling annoyed. "In the Violet Cloud County, most people who are 16 have wives already."

"Looks like little brother Xiao Yun wants a wife."

Yan Shi Fei smiled, the haggardness on her face slightly disappearing as she looked at the youth in great interest. "Which girl has little brother set his eyes on? Do you want big sister to get you guys together?"

"What if I've set my eyes on big sister Shi Fei?" Xiao Yun gave a smile that didn't quite seem like one as he looked at the young woman.

Yan Shi Fei momentarily froze and her face became redder.

"Big sister's face is turning red," Xiao Yun teased as he grinned. "Could it be that big sister's feeling embarrassed?"

"You brat. You dare to mock me? I'm not talking to you anymore; hurry up and help big sister extract the poison." Yan Shi Fei rolled her eyes before looking away. Xiao Yun also hurriedly looked away, not daring to tease her anymore.

"I'm already 16 years old," Xiao Yun whined as he pouted. He was quite unhappy with being called a brat. He looked at Yan Shi Fei's flawless body, wanting to prove himself, but cast that idea aside - treating big sister Shi Fei's poisoning was much more important.

After taking off his shoes, Xiao Yun climbed onto the bed and crossed his legs as he sat behind the young woman.

Yan Shi Fei was also sitting cross-legged, with her beautiful back exposed.

The young woman's back was as white as cream, and her skin seemed so tender that even the wind blowing could damage it. It was so beautiful that one would even forget to breathe while looking.

As he was sitting so close to her, Xiao Yun could also smell an intoxicating fragrance.

He shook his head, dispelling those thoughts of appreciation. This was because the palm-sized region behind Yan Shi Fei's heart had a black patch that was spreading out like spider's web. The skin around that area was completely black.

This was a symptom of the poison and once it spread throughout her body, even Xiao Yun would not be able to bring it back under control.

Moreover, in the centre of where the poison had started to spread, there was a strand of a dark-coloured Qi, which gave off a slightly foul odour.

Although it was slight, it completely blemished the fragrant aroma, like a dark blot on an otherwise picturesque landscape.

"Big sister Shi Fei, I'll be starting now." Xiao Yun stretched out his palm and a jade-green branch appeared. The Martial Spirit gave off a brilliant jade light which contained the dense aura of life and fell on the young woman's skin.

Yan Shi Fei couldn't help but shiver. She felt as though all of her pores had been cleansed, and felt incredibly refreshed. A mysterious feeling of numbness made her feel powerless as beads of sweat began to slide down her body.

"Mmm." Yan Shi Fei pursed her lips, her face looking embarrassed. Even her ears had started to become red.

Every time the poison acted up, Yan Shi Fei would experience this numbness. However, the mysterious feeling of numbness from Xiao Yun's Martial Spirit made her feel as if her body was slowly recovering. The aura that Xiao Yun's Martial Spirit gave off was simply too mystical.

 Xiao Yun moved his palm over to the young woman's back and pressed it against the dark patch, preparing to absorb the poison.

The jade-green branch shone with a resplendent light as it began to extract the dark poison.

However, the Martial Spirit did not go and absorb the poison of its own volition. The poison was simply too strong, and it would take even the Martial Spirit a long time to neutralise it.

It seemed that the Martial Spirit wasn't quite interested in a job like this where the labour was great but the rewards seemed few.

However, Xiao Yun discovered that the Martial Spirit's ability to absorb poison had greatly improved.

"Looks like after being upgraded, this Martial Spirit has become much stronger." Xiao Yun felt quite hopeful after sensing these changes.

The one who felt the change in the Martial Spirit the most was Yan Shi Fei.

A moment after the youth's palm touched her back, Yan Shi Fei could feel her mind clearing up, and felt much stronger. Evidently, the poison was being extracted incredibly quickly.

"Did little brother Xiao Yun's Martial Spirit become stronger?" she wondered inwardly, but didn't ask out aloud.

This was because at this moment, she couldn't distract Xiao Yun.

In the blink of an eye, an hour had passed. The dark patch on the young woman's back was gone and most of the poison within her body had been extracted. However, Xiao Yun's face had started to become pale, with a hint of black.

If anyone else was present, they would have thought that Xiao Yun had been poisoned.

Xiao Yun was absorbing the poison into his own Martial Spirit.

Although the dark patch on Yan Shi Fei's back was no longer present, Xiao Yun did not stop, and continued to extract the poison that had entered into her meridians.

Another hour passed, and only after Xiao Yun's face had become completely ashen did he take his palm away.

"It's done."

Xiao Yun began to control his Martial Spirit to extract some of the poison that had leaked into his own body.

After Xiao Yun took his palm away, Yan Shi Fei's back felt a bit cold, which made her feel a little uncomfortable.

After a while, her hand moved and a thin muslin dress fell on her body. She then turned around and looked at the youth.

When she saw the youth's ashen face, Yan Shi Fei bit her lips, feeling an ache in her heart.

He was bearing the pain that she had been bearing, and although she knew that he would be fine, her heart still hurt at the sight of this. Who would be willing to take one person's poison into their own body? Moreover, he had done this for 2 years. Who else would be willing or able to do such a thing?

Yan Shi Fei stretched out her hand and couldn't help herself as she smoothed back a few strands of hair hanging in front of his face.

With the strands of hair gone, she could see his handsome appearance.

His handsome, yet still slightly tender face was incredibly charming to her.

"This guy's becoming quite a good-looking young man," Yan Shi Fei muttered inwardly.

Without realising it, she had spaced out while looking at him.

Xiao Yun's eyes suddenly shot open, revealing his dark eyes. Yan Shi Fei's heart rapidly thumped as she quickly took back her hand, feeling like a thief. She looked at a loss, and blushed to her ears.

Now that Yan Shi Fei's poison had been suppressed, she had returned to her normal state. Her embarrassment made her look incredibly bewitching and moving. Anyone who saw her would marvel at her beauty, and Xiao Yun felt stunned as he looked at her.

"You're better," Yan Shi Fei said, feeling incredibly flustered.

"Big sister, Shi Fei, what were you looking at?" Xiao Yun felt a bit surprised, then looked at the young woman with great interest. "Don't tell me you've fallen for me."

"No way." Yan Shi Fei looked away, as if she felt guilty. She quickly stood up from the bed, like she was about to leave.

However, just as she stood up, her legs and feet went numb, and she fell down.

Xiao Yun quickly stretched out his arms and caught her. As her petite frame fell into his arms, his heart thumped.

"Let… Let go of me." Yan Shi Fei's heart was incredibly chaotic as she was being hugged by this young man. Her body trembled and her breathing became erratic. Evidently, she felt incredibly nervous and didn't know what to do.

"Hehe," Xiao Yun laughed.

"Oh, you." Yan Shi Fei once again rolled her eyes, pretending to look angry.

"Big sister Shi Fei, you're so beautiful." Although the young woman looked like she was angry, Xiao Yun couldn't help but praise her.

"You little brat." After a while, Yan Shi Fei remembered her intention to retaliate and pushed the youth away.

"Big sister Shi Fei smells so nice." Xiao Yun continued to laugh.

"You're still laughing?"

"It's not my fault that big sister Shi Fe's so pretty," Xiao Yun said as he shrugged. "No man wouldn't be able to keep themselves from looking at you."

Yan Shi Fei seemed to have forgotten what had happened earlier as she smirked and replied, "You're a man? No way, you're just a little kid!" Yan Shi Fei grinned in mock-condescension, trying to embarrass Xiao Yun now instead.

"I'm about to come to age!" Xiao Yun unhappily said as he looked at the extremely enchanting young woman in front of him.
