The jade-green branch flashed with light and was surrounded by mist, looking like some sort of heavenly plant.

When the jade-green light shone out, the little fellow’s eyes lit up as violet saliva began to flow out of its mouth. “This milk milk smells so good; it’s filed with vital essence of life!”  It wrapped both of its arms around Xiao Yun’s leg as it spoke in its childish voice, “I want to eat, I want to eat!”

Xiao Yun rolled his eyes, saying, “Don’t be impatient, big brother will take you to a good place.”

After speaking, the jade-green branch stretched out and wrapped itself around the Violet Vine to prevent it from making any sudden actions.

Despite being bound by the branch, the Violet Vine didn’t seem to mind. It used its little mouth to vigorously absorb the jade-green vital essence. This was an incredibly dense vital essence of life, which caused its aura to continuously rise; it was like a child that was growing up and becoming stronger.

A jade-green light flashed as the Violet Vine’s soul was brought by the Martial Spirit into Xiao Yun’s sea of consciousness.

It seemed that the Martial Spirit’s vital essence was greatly beneficial to the Violet Vine’s soul.

Xiao Yun’s mind delved into his sea of consciousness, and marvelled at the Violet Vine.

Under the sustenance from the Martial Spirit’s vital essence, the little fellow’s aura had greatly improved. From the resplendent violet light it was giving off, it seemed that it was full of life again.

The Martial Spirit moved, and put the little fellow down.

“Aiya, I’m not full yet.” The little fellow looked incredibly displeased.

It seemed more and more like a person, and its eyes and eyelashes looked just like those of a toddler’s.

“This little fellow only knows to eat,” Xiao Yun thought as he looked at the Violet Vine’s body, still feeling some sympathy.

Although the Violet Vine had recovered quite a bit of its vital essence, the wounds were still there, and some of the poison still remained.

“Maybe these dewdrops might help.” Xiao Yun looked towards the dewdrops on the Martial Spirit’s leaf. He used his mind to control a drop and splashed it on the Violet Vine’s wound, seeing if it could heal the wound.

Suddenly, the sword wounds started to heal at a rate observable by the naked eye.

Even some of the poison started to be slowly neutralised as a result.

“Big brother, you’re so amazing; my wounds have become much better.” Lil Violet blinked as it looked at the Martial Spirit passionately. Its saliva started to flow as it hugged the Martial Spirit and started to rapidly absorb vital essence.

“Yummy, so yummy. Big brother, I’m going to live here from now on,” the little fellow said as it smiled.

After healing the Violet Vine’s wounds, Xiao Yun inwardly let out a sigh of relief.

This way, the Violet Vine’s soul would stay with him until he went back to the Violet Cloud County, after which he could hand it over to big sister Shi Fei.

Xiao Yun couldn’t help but frown at how greedily the little fellow was eating.

“Wah, the aura of life is even denser over there.” Within Xiao Yun’s sea of consciousness, the Violet Vine’s soul hugged the Martial Spirit as it climbed up, going over to the dewdrops on the 2 leaves. Those dewdrops were the concentrated essence of the Martial Spirit, and had only recently taken form.

“I can’t keep taking care of it like this,” Xiao Yun silently cursed.

Back then, the little fellow had changed its attitude towards him because it was attracted to the vital essence he could provide.

Now, it was not holding back at all.

It seemed that this childlike little fellow was quite intelligent.

Before Xiao Yun acted, one of the Martial Spirit’s branches lashed out, whipping the little fellow down to the ground.

The little fellow rolled back up as it pointed at the Martial Spirit and cried out to Xiao Yun, “Aiya, big brother, it’s bullying Lil Violet.”

The Violet Vine had been living in the Violet Cloud Mountain for a long time, and had long since gained consciousness. It was incredibly familiar with this region, and after listening to it talk, Xiao Yun understood why many of the Violet Cloud Mountain’s powerful demonic beasts had been chased away.

This was because a supreme expert had appeared within the depths of the mountain.

Not only this, the expert was so strong that his or her aura caused the Violet Cloud Mountain’s fog to be dispelled.

If not for this, the Violet Cloud Stream would be an incredibly dangerous area, and most ordinary cultivators would not even think of entering such a place.

That small face seemed like it was coming close to taking shape.

However, the little fellow stared at the dewdrops on the leaves, continuously salivating.

The vital essence of life coming from the dewdrops were simply too alluring. It was only able to resist for fear of Xiao Yun throwing it out.

This day, another dewdrop had appeared on the jade-green leaf, and Lil Violet could no longer resist anymore.

After consuming the dewdrop, the little fellow’s body began to change. Some of the branches and vines on its body became more orderly, looking more like a person.

Of course, it was still a little tree-person.
