"It really lives up to its name as a God Pill," Xiao Yun said as he narrowed his eyes. Xiao Yun had put away the map piece too fast so he could not see the whole terrain.  He wanted to examine the map piece more thoroughly so that he could search for the pill recipe later.             

"Give it to you? How come I don't see you giving me a detailed description of where the Heaven-Devouring Sovereign's inheritance is located?" Xiao Yun shrugged. Who would divulge such important information as the map piece of a legendary pill to just anyone?             

"You are too petty." The Heaven-Devouring Sparrow rolled his eyes with despise on his face.             

"Based on your excited expression from before, it seems like you want this pill recipe?" Xiao Yun asked with interest.             

"Of course. With the Nine Revolving God Pill, this Lord can reform my corporeal body," the Heaven-Devouring Sparrow replied excitedly. "After reforming my corporeal, I can once again walk under the heavens without fear.  All of my past foes will be squashed under my feet."             

Xiao Yun shrugged and responded, "It’s too bad you don't have a chance to get the Nine Revolving God Pill recipe."

The Heaven-Devouring Sparrow was filled with worry and he quickly said, "Boy… No, wait. Little brother, how about we work together? I will bring you to find the Heaven-Devouring Sovereign's inheritance and we will go seek the pill recipe for the Nine Revolving God Pill together."             

"But didn't you say I don't have the right to ask to work with you?" Xiao Yun laughed, seeing the Heaven-Devouring Sparrow like this.  Before, this guy was full of arrogance, but now, he was trying to sway Xiao Yun with a flattering tone.             

"When did I say that?" The Heaven-Devouring Sparrow played dumb as he laughed, " Look. Us meeting was fate.  You seem to resemble my long lost little brother.  How about this? Let us become sworn brothers; you can be my younger brother.  In the future, if we encounter good fortune, we can share. If we meet misfortune, we will withstand it together."             

"Goddamn. Stupid bird. How do I resemble your long-lost brother? I am a human, okay?" Xiao Yun rolled his eyes. His image of the Heaven-Devouring Sparrow as an expert had completely crumbled.  What kind of person could speak of such falsehoods and still keep a straight face?           

"That doesn't matter; it is still the same.  I can even consider you as the big brother if you want,"  the Heaven-Devouring Sparrow shamelessly said without any hint of red on his face.  Now that he had found an opportunity to reform his corporeal body, how could he let it slip by?  What use was integrity?             

Xiao Yun was completely speechless.  Now that he had a trump card to keep the Heaven-Devouring Sparrow in check, he didn't fear the Heaven-Devouring Sparrow’s inclinations.              

"If you don't do anything stupid in the future, I can work with you," Xiao Yun said indifferently.

"Of course. We are brothers after all. Why would I harm you?" Heaven-Devouring Sparrow replied happily after seeing Xiao Yun agree.             

"We shall see."

 Xiao Yun shrugged as he lifted the Violet Flame Cauldron to examine it.  Now that he had the Violet Flame Pill Principle text, he could become a Pill Refiner.             

"If you place a drop of essence blood into the cauldron and mark it with your mind, you can control it," Heaven-Devouring Sparrow chirped, trying to be helpful.

Xiao Yun was skeptical, but he still tried it.  He placed a drop of essence blood into the cauldron and separated a strand from his mind to try and link with it. Sure enough, when his mind entered the cauldron, it actually formed a link with him.  Once the Violet Flame Cauldron sensed Xiao Yun's Violet Flame Martial Spirit, it gave out a trembling cry, as if it was happy to meet an old friend.   It seemed to have accepted Xiao Yun as the Violet Flame King's inheritor.  After the link finished, the Violet Flame Cauldron felt as if it was Xiao Yun's own flesh.  With a single thought, it flew into his sea of consciousness.

"Coming here was definitely not a waste."

"Captain Fang Rui, that boy has already been in there for a day.  Why has he not come out?" A Body-Tempering realm cultivator wiped the sweat from his wrinkled brow and asked with some impatience.  Many of the Body-Tempering realm cultivators were fidgety; everyone was boiling from the heat.             

"Do you think he has already died?" an Innate realm cultivator said to another Innate realm cultivator.  Even the higher realm cultivators were becoming impatient.  This extremely hot location was not a place that they wanted to wait at.             

"Wait for two more days," Fang Rui stated.  He could not miss this opportunity to eliminate the boy or else, he might become a danger later.

"I don't think we need to wait anymore.  The boy probably already died," an Innate realm replied.             

"Yea!" another person agreed. "Also, even if he lives, so what?  We can always kill him when he returns to the Violet Cloud County. Why do we have to suffer waiting here?"             

"Stupid!" Fang Rui yelled. "Once he returns to Violet Cloud County, do you think Old patriarch Xiao won't tenaciously protect him?"             

Upon hearing Fang Rui's words, everyone became silent.  Whose talent could compare to Xiao Yun's?  With Xiao Yun's talent, old patriarch Xiao would very likely even trade his own life to protect Xiao Yun.  This would be a giant headache for the Fang family and probably cause huge losses.  The better idea would really be to stay here and kill Xiao Yun without anyone knowing. "How is this possible? How are you not dead?!"             

"Are you even human?!" The Fang family members had a face full of amazement.  If they were not here to see it with their own eyes, they would not have believed that someone could walk out of the sea of flames.  This was something that only experts could accomplish, but this youth was only at the Innate realm!             

"How can you move freely in this fire cave?" Fang Rui asked.

"Do I have any obligation to answer you?" Xiao Yun stepped slowly out of the fire cave with narrowed eyes.  His smile contained a chill and his voice was apathetic.  The Fang family cultivators' hearts became taut as they felt the danger emanating from this youth.                

"Hmph! I don't care what method you used. Since you dared to come out, you should just accept your fate and die," Fang Rui said with a cold voice.  Although he felt uneasy, he began forming signs with his hands.  As he did, a mysterious seal began to form in front of him.

The seal consolidated, applying pressure with the strength of a mountain and forcing a gust of air outwards.  Seeing the seal and its strength, the Fang family cultivators finally let out a sigh of relief.  They didn't believe that a boy who was forced to enter a fire cave just one day ago could reverse this situation.  With this new-found confidence, they let go of their uneasiness and two Innate realm cultivators prepared to attack.

"Destroying-Spirit!" Facing the Heavy Mountain Seal, Xiao Yun raised his eyebrows and then narrowed his eyes as a sphere of spirit energy expanded forth from his sea of consciousness.  With his mind, Xiao Yun condensed his spirit energy into a sharp blade and directed it towards the space between Fang Rui's eyebrows.  This kind of spirit energy condensing increased the strength of the attack by many times.

A day ago, he could not do something like this, but now that the Spirit-Destroying arts had been promoted, his control over his spirit force was raised by a bit.
