The Gods' Decree 20 why hate one's self

Where in this world could such devil like beings descend from?

For how long have such creatures lived among us?

Questions just rushed through my mind as I tried with all my being to fathom the situation.As I seemed trapped in my mind, I saw a scene that has disfigured my heart ever since.

From the sky descended an 8ft tall being that had reddish skin with ghastly scars all over its body and eyes that were pure white. His forehead had horns protruding that curled 10 inches in the air. On his shoulder sat a devilish looking small girl with the look of fullfilled and estacy on her face.

" Hehe, the smell of blood in the morning sure gets me pumped. How pitifully that such a small wastrel sect with three weak elemental being would dare defy my orders " She said

The devil like being took its hands from his back and in his grasp was an old man with a head filled with white. His face bloodied and smashed with only a slither of consciousness remaining.

" Old Devil bitch, you will die for sure after what you have done. I regret nothing we did and I would make the same decision if asked a thousand times over." He old spat as hate filled his eyes.

" Your whole sect for a mere 2000 ritual sacrifices. Hehe, how noble of you indeed?" The devilish looking girl smirked after biting her nails.

" You will meet your end some day wicked fiend. It will not be by my hand, but it will happen. On that day of retribution, I will finally rest in peace" The old man forced to get his words out with every breath.

" Interesting, how very interesting.Old Meng have you perhaps felt that you have died after completing some heroic feight? Maybe, you have thoughts of dying with a smile after saving those promising seedlings of yours" She continued biting her nails as she looked at the dying man.

"How...how did you...know?" The old man stuttered along as it seemed he had lost his very soul.Now there was nothing but sorrow and dread placed on his face.

" Firstly, when thinking yourself wiser than others, do not make your plans easily discerned by even the simplest of men".

" lastly, always check your house for rodents before calling it clean." She lazily replied as the desired look of anguish was shown on Old Meng's face.

" Rodents??" Old Meng thought of the words, but he never could find in this mind anyone worth mention.

"Wondering are you?" She started taunting the old man as he looked lost in contemplation.

" Little worshipper come now and fully step into the devil's path. " After she spoke a young beauty made her way over with a look of excitement on her face.

At that moment I gasped for breath after nearly choking. Was my eyes deceiving? How could this be .....?

Behind Master Mei there was a man bounded in chains and dragged on the floor, as terror filled his face. It was Carlos as he was brutally beaten with ghastly wounds on his back.

"Is this the ritual sacrifice you have chosen to enter this path With?" The young devil like girl ask Master Mei while having a curious gaze.

"Yes Master, He is the one.I've decided to follow your instructions and selected him, instead of that loyal servant of mine Duo Fang"

"After all Master, he will truly be a greater sacrifice due to his world qi reserve. I was naive at first when i thought of the mortal being even more suitable. The heart of men sure are easily woed." She said after bowing .

Old Meng looked on the girl and in seconds he remembered her from the sect tournament.

" Child, how can you drift from the path of elements and choose the wretched devil" He asked sorrowfully.

" Hehe, don't tell me even you Old Meng is this stupid and haven't figured it out" The devil like little girl scorned while giving him a playful smile.

It suddenly dawned onOld Meng and his face changed to fury.

" The devil's heart cultivating step.You dared to use my sect for such a wicked deed, you fiend. Old witch only you could have such a disciple" Oh how he wished he had the strength to massacre them both.

" Blame your own incompetence for that old fool, as I found her in your sect on my last visit. How laughable indeed that it was happening right under your noses?" The little girl laughed as She saw old Meng on his last breathe in fury.

" Child make the sacrifice now, as I grow bored of this place" She continued as her face showed annoyance.

Master Mei moved to Carlos and took a knife from her waste. Carlos looked on with unwillness and bewilderment.

" How could the woman he finally choose and fell in love with, be so cold and heartless? How could I not have seen the signs?"

Tears fell as he saw his lover moving towards him with a cold gaze.

" My love, why do you seem so hurt? Come into my embrace one last time. Don't worry my love, because of you, my path will be but far smoother. Let your love be the beacon to guide my way" Master Mei had a devilish tone.

She started chanting words I could not understand and suddenly a path opened out in thin air and red light suddenly cascaded over her. Then Carlos had his last seconds of life in which his Heart was filled with torment.

"Why my love?"

His throat was slashed and blood splattered everywhere. In his eyes there was only unwillingness.

As I looked despair was all I felt. In that moment I realize Carlos and I were but the same. How could I hate myself when we are both idiots on the path of love.

All these years I was lusting for someone so vile and cruel? How could I have just fallen for a pretty face? Was this not the heights of stupidity?

The little girl laughed as she saw the blood pouring. " Now wasn't that delightful my child?I see you were tailor made for the path of devil"

" Old Meng those precious seedling are now in my hand and as fate would have be used as my sacrificial lambs.You can now die with that in your heart" She smirked as she look on Old Meng

Old Meng had no reply as his head was bowed in pity. The last thing he felt was his head being crush by a giant hand from the red devil being.

" Child you did Well, do want to do the honours of killing that mortal servant? She asked with a playful smile.

Master Mei looked up at me in my hiding place. When I looked in her eyes there was only coldness.

" Master he is not even worth the consideration" She stated as she looked away from me.

" Good I always like to leave one survivor to spread my anecdotes" She laughed and commanded the devil like being to ascend.

I sat in the corner after they left not knowing what to do with my self. The scene kept replaying over and over in my head.

That day I left for the city once more, as my life of servitude was finally ended.
