The Gods' Decree 192 What The Night Brings 2

With their tastebuds aroused it led to them fighting amongst themselves by smashing their demon bodies.

"Kill you fucking idiots or the next meal will be your genitals!"

The devilish teen Yuro fiercely yelled after seeing what unfolded. Deva demons were not the smartest of creatures.

Contrasting to their humongous sizes their brains were no bigger than a walnut. All were driven by three things blood, lust, and gluttony. 

It is not known by what means the devilish Yuro used to drive such fear into their hearts but her words were like a divine calling that sent a shiver down their spines. Though in comparison to their stature she was similar to a small twig, they dared not disobey her orders.

The fighting seized as they once more launched themselves like a swarm towards Xeeno and the incoming bat.

GeGe! 

"What pitiful creatures. Let me show you how it's done."

🌟Decimate🌟

A confident cry was heard from Xeeno as he watched his transformed devil beast bat arrive amidst those who sought to devour it whole.

Its mouth became ajar as a screeching piercing sound was heard while black particles visibly took shape before its body.

BOOM!

The particles then formed into a  black beam hidden within the darken skies which was launched viciously into a herd of Deva Demons.

It was so fierce and brutal, this was evident as they found no counter accepting their fate of death against this unstoppable beam. As a result, it caused deva demons to rain from the sky.

Underneath the ground resembled an illuminated bug zapper in a pitch-black night.  Some were decimated so much so that not even an inkling of their presence could be felt afterward.

Yet it led to an odd turn of events with the remaining deva demons ripping into the flesh of their deceased counterparts as though it was the norm. 

"So that bat of your does have some use after all,"

Yuro uttered after seeing the strength exuded by the peculiar devil beast. She was not flustered at how things unfolded watching deva demons being obliterated.

On the grounds, she saw what remained cannibalizing their kin as a purple glow shrouded their bodies the more they devoured.

Their skins which were once dark red now had slight hints of purple.  What surprised her was this bat of Xeeno, it took quite the strength to decimate a group of deva demons. One thing they were known for was the dexterity of their bodies.

Mei too looked at the  Xeeno's devil beast as her interest blossomed. This was the first time she has seen him with this creature, it seemed he had recently possessed it. It was quite a treat seeing two devils of contrasting paths battling it out.

🌟{A devil's path is the means by which all devils cultivate. There are many pathways. For instance, Mei cultivates what is known as the Devil's Heart.

 Individually it is not meant to boost the person's combat strength but the ability it provides allows them to bewitch others into doing their bidding.

They are often time referred to as witchers, which doesn't seem like much but actually makes them formidable foes. It has two distinct stages Succubus and Femme Fatale.

Xeeno studied a different path which was that of Berserker. This is a form of transformation art for both devil beasts and the devil master that is implemented through inscriptions which boost their strengths.

It is very beneficial to the user personally, yet it has drawbacks with its need for an excessive amount of qi and other prerequisites.

Yuro studies bloodlust which is the path that is most associated with devils by outsiders. It is one of the easiest to train in its early stages which entices those easily wooed by strength but has extremely harsh requirements as the devil increases in cultivation.

A devil who practices this route has to kill continuously in order to see growth in their cultivation and with each growth, the quota required becomes nearly insurmountable.

In order to fill the gap, a devil who chooses this route would need to kill someone of equal or greater strength to make any stride in cultivation.

It is thus known which course is easily manipulated by those who dare callously try. Hence the reason Xeeno was able to so effortlessly dig under the skin of Yuro.

From what Mie could tell he came in order to form an alliance and knew the only means to achieve this was by showing what he brought to the fold.

The word trust is not within the vocabulary of devils. This is with good reason as a devil seeks only to benefit their own self-interest. 

It is an unwritten rule amongst devils when forming an alliance. There either needs to be a devil's contract in place or a show of strength.

Most would not choose a devil's contract which provides the most assurance, after all, it is in writing. With good cause as these were normally laden with hidden clauses with devastating consequences.

Therefore, though the latter is the most unreliable it is the one that is frequently use, this provides guaranteed assurance of their fate being in their own hands.

A prime example of a devil's contract wreaking having on devils is the one which the corpse currently has in place on behalf of the clan.

There was a reason the devilish teen Yuro ordered Mei to keep her distance in this sparring session. Though she didn't think highly of Xeeno he could decimate Mie within a manner seconds. He was from the same generation as her with only a minor gap in cultivation. 

Yet though they were but a hair's breadth apart in cultivation it was similar to the difference between day and night.

 🌟In the elite world of cultivation, though one's path starts within the qi realm that is seen as a rudimentary step on one's path. If one cannot surmount such a step they are seen as no better than mortal and often times are referred to as such.

The first genuine step is when one has arrived within the realm of lords whereby they have access to their different dantians and for those with the beast amalgamation affinity, cores.

It is the gateway that opens up the true wonders of being a cultivator.

With it being a beginner stage there are of course superior realms above the lord realm, right above there is the Martial King Realm.

Martial Kings are the true elites within the Chu Country. They occupy the upper echelons of any sect or clan and are very sparse in comparison to lords. It is based on extreme talent and sometimes luck to arrive at this stage.

This being said there are beings that surmount Martial Kings and are referred to as Monarchs, these individuals are like myths within the Chu country.

Legend states that the Chu country once produced a Monarch however as the years have gone by this has become a farfetched tale.

Since there are no Monarchs within the Chu Country the old peak cultivators are known as Full Circle Martial Kings and slightly above that Half Step Monarchs. These are beings with the prospect of bridging the barrier between Martial Kings and Monarchs. 

Yet it is unfortunate that when most have arrived at this stage they have already dried up all the potential within their bodies thus their ascension is never fulfilled.

It is but a hair's breadth away yet it is so elusive. Thus the reason the Chu country is without any known Monarch.🌟

From their previous battles, Mei knew Xeeno was at least at the peak of the Martial King realm similar to her master yet with contrasting strengths.

Yuro would never agree to form an alliance with anyone who she saw as inferior as the benefits were negligible. At her current level there is a need to kill cultivators of equal or greater strengths, how would he be of any help in this regard?

She knew how cowardly Xeeno could be in a battle of life or death. In some ways, he was an amply reminder never to trust a devil by their word.

Usually, he would challenge her in a bid to hone his strength though knowing there was a chance he would be killed. Afterall devils are hunted like a rabbit by a hound in general and hardly get the chance to test their strength, but he ensured not to infuriate her to a point where she lost all rational.

Ordinarily, after a point, he runs off with his tail between his legs fleeing as Yuro tried to kill him. Yet though he was weaker than her master when it came to fleeing for his life there was no one better.

Still for him to provoke her to this point was something he had never done, which meant one thing and that was his cultivation had risen.

"This bat of your could it be...?"

Yuro then uttered as she constantly assessed the transformed bat one more decimating her para demons with ease.

GeGe!

"Yes! It is just as you have gathered." With laughter and pride in his voice, Xeeno didn't even give Yuro the time to finish her thought.

"It seems the Devil gates have has been quite generous to you bat. Well, show me this newfound strength."

As Yuro spoke she saw purple inscription circling the body of Xeeno as he laughed like a true maniac drunk on power while his previously black pupils became bright purple. His qi became so suffocating Mei who spectated suddenly could hardly breathe. 

"Ok now I am listening," Yuro uttered waving her hand towards the sky as a suction force pulled all the deva beast from whence they came. It was quite evident Xeeno was no longer the pushover he once was.

GeGe!

"It seems you do have a bit of rational after all. I suggest an alliance as you have guessed and not only do I bring my personal strength to the fold but that too of my little helpers."

The inscriptions slowly faded from Xeeno's body and so too did his devil beast bat too regained its natural form. He then wove a hand from whence came a black opaque fog.

It slowly formed around him as multiple fluttering of wings being heard. Soon tens of bats once more made their presence known. As the touched the cold night floor human-like bodies began to take shape.

They bowed garbed in black robes behind Xeeno who fiendishly grinned.

"I am the one that sees all that the night brings. Let me be that voice which whispers its secrets. You yearn to witness the demise of Dark Abylis Sect.

To finally vanquish that demon hold over you. letting her behold the thing she loves the most whither away.,  it is all but inevitable its wall will crumble with this devil's aid."
