The God of Special Favour 9 8 Understand Time, Purpose And Fulfilment.

God's intention is to bring fulfilment to our lives.

Wisdom is 80% accuracy in timing and 20% accuracy in decision making. No matter how you love to eat an apple fruit, you won't want to eat an unripe apple. Time is the currency of the world. God does everything on earth with a purpose. When you miss the time of God, life becomes miserable.

God wants you to invest everything he has given to you for your fulfilment on earth. Many times, laziness and wickedness hinder people from investing their potentials.

Ps.102:13 13

Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.

This is the time of Zion, and as the member of the church of the first-born, it is your time of favour.

When you look up to God, you became unconquerable. That you are favored already is also confirmed in the book of Psalm.5:12

Psalm 5:12

12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

God desires us to walk by faith so that we can enjoy the blessing. That is why he gave us all the measure of faith at new birth.

Time is so important that we must not waste it but invest it in living for the Lord. We must arise from slumber. Even the ant recognizes time by instinct.

Prov.6:6-8

6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:

7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,

8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.

The problem of Gehazi is that he could not discern time.

2 Kings 5:26

26 And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants?

He ran after Namaan. At a time, when God's name was to be glorified, he brought the curse to himself and his children.

Beloved, we must choose to do the will of God. Jesus at the point of celebration wept over Jerusalem because they did not know the time of their visitation.

Luke.19:42

42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.

They did not know the purpose of his coming. Jesus did miracles among them, yet, they ignored those evidences, living their own lives until Jesus passed away.

Our attitude to time and purpose determines our allocation in life. This is because God made places before people. He made location before allocation.

Jesus carried an anointing without measure. He was up and equal to anything. He could carry such measure of anointing because he was neither mortal nor immortal. He never fell down under the weight of that power until he entered his Gethsemane.

People fell under a great anointing because the natural flesh of man is often overwhelmed under the supernatural power of God. Jesus was neither mortal nor immortal in his incarnation, so he could withstand the power.

The case of two blind men as recorded in Matt.9:28-30 tells how Jesus touched their eyes and they were made whole instantly. Every time Jesus touched, there's always a flow of supernatural virtue from him to the sick as in this case compared to the narration in Mk.8:22-26.

Mark 8:22-26

22 And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.

23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.

24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.

25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.

26 And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.

This incident happened in Bethsaida. This city does not exist today because Jesus cursed it.

A blind man was brought to him and Jesus took the man by the hand, led him out of the town and spat on him. Could he have been recreating a man who has no eyes socket?

He also went ahead to place his hands on the eyes. Yet, with all these generosity of divine contact, the blind man was not perfectly restored.

Jesus asked the man if he could see. But the man said that he saw men walking as trees. It was as if there were struggles in the healing of this man.

Then Jesus laid his hand on him the second time. This is the only incident where we see Jesus laid hands twice on the same man.

After the restoration of his eyes, Jesus sent him away into his house and told him not to return to the town.

This infers that the man was a stranger in that town. He was living in a town that was cursed. That was why Jesus took him out of that town to minister to him.

Mtt.11:20-22

20 Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not:

21 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22 But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.

God did miracle in Bethsaida and Chorazin but they believed not in him. The hardness of their hearts grieved the Holy Spirit. They took God for granted.

Beloved, with all the Lord is doing for you, showing you mercy, how are you responding to this great opportunity?

Is it the time to run back to the world?

We can see the struggle of the Son of God without immeasurable anointing in healing a man, just because he was living in a town that refused to repent. They did not change despite God's favour.

Beloved, that God is powerful does not mean he will work in every life. What have you done with the measure of anointing and grace you have received?

Many years ago when God sent me to the land where i do ministry today, there were many people who came to me for prayers when they had health issues. But some of them did not even show up in church later.

There was this particular woman that came around again after receiving a miracle some months back. So when I saw her, I asked her where she had been all these days. She said she went to one Church close to her house, where they don't believe God is healing anyone today.

I was grieved in my spirit and said to her; 'so, you only come to church when you are in trouble and in need of prayer?'

I prayed for her and walked away from her.

Few weeks later, I was told the woman died in her sleep.

A time will always come when God will expect you to mature and respond to his mercy.

A time came for Israel that God said it was over after they have used God without repenting.

The same thing happened to Lazarus, he died prematurely and Jesus raised him from the stinking grave after four days.

But at the feast the sister of Lazarus made for Jesus, Lazarus sat at the table to dine than take a servant hood attitude. He could have done something to appreciate the master.

The bible says that Jesus loved him. The Pharisee wanted to assassinate Lazarus again because he was too visible.

(John 12:1-2, 9-11)

John 12:1-2

1 Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.

2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.

9 Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.

10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;

11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.

Beloved, if our heart will follow God, you will see that he is a good God. No wonder Paul said that if anybody love not the Lord, let him be accursed. (Anathema)

I Cor.16:22

22 If any man loves not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.

The world is sinking, it has nothing for you.

There was a woman in one of the branch of our churches, she was delivered from ancestral curses as a widow. God helped her to raise her children. So, when one of her children was to be married, she ran back to the wicked family that hated her to attend the occasion so as to please them. She did not want them to say that she didn't seek their consent for the wedding. She went back to the people that had forgotten her in the midst of a programe we were doing in church. She was attacked in her sleep and was carried back. She woke up crying of headache and died later.

When I was told, I wanted to gather the guest ministers together, so that we could pray for her to raise her from the dead. But God told me not to bother because if she did not obey me when she was alive, she would not obey me now that she was dead.

The woman did not respond to the love of God. Beloved, you must make up your mind to follow God.

Years ago, a man cried to me that I should deliver him from his wife. So he took me to his house, a duplex looking so dirty. Then he narrated to me before his housemaid how the wife use to maltreat him at home. His hands would be tied to the back only for the wife to be slapping him.

Somebody that followed me there witnessed to the fact that the man used to be a tough principal in a school, but now he was being humiliated by his wife. He cried for me to help him.

As we were talking, the wife came inside. So, I asked her why she was humiliating her husband.

Then she narrated that she was raised by a pastor and she used to submit her salary to her husband. This got to the extent that if one of her underwears was torn, she would have to show it to her husband in order to take permission to buy another one.

The man was a tyrant. I was sure the woman must have reported him to her colleagues in the market who decided that power must change hands. This was why the season of humiliation began for this man.

I told her that she has to restore the power back to the man. I cannot help any man exercise authority in his house than the permission he gives to me.

How dare you say you love the Lord and you don't respond to his demands in your life? And you do anything you want to do without caring for his will. How can he be your savior and not your Lord?

Heb.10:23-26

23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

When you keep violating your conscience, a time will come when it will lose its sensitivity. The same way a man's tongue may not feel the hotness of tea over a long time that his esophagus is deadened.

Many today have lived their Christian life without good conscience. You must stand true to what you know.

May you live true to the call of God. I prayed the Holy Spirit Inspired prayer of Paul for you.

Phil.5:9-11

9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; 10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;

11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
