The God of Special Favour 8 Benefits Of Agreeing With God

Judges 15:1-10

1 But it came to pass within a while after, in the time of wheat harvest that Samson visited his wife with a kid; and he said, I will go in to my wife into the chamber. But her father would not suffer him to go in.

2 And her father said, I verily thought that thou hadst utterly hated her; therefore I gave her to thy companion: is not her younger sister fairer than she? take her, I pray thee, instead of her.

3 And Samson said concerning them, Now shall I be more blameless than the Philistines, though I do them a displeasure.

4 And Samson went and caught three hundred foxes, and took firebrands, and turned tail to tail, and put a firebrand in the midst between two tails.

5 And when he had set the brands on fire, he let them go into the standing corn of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks, and also the standing corn, with the vineyards and olives.

6 Then the Philistines said, Who hath done this? And they answered, Samson, the son in law of the Timnite, because he had taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And the Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with fire.

7 And Samson said unto them, Though ye have done this, yet will I be avenged of you, and after that I will cease.

8 And he smote them hip and thigh with a great slaughter: and he went down and dwelt in the top of the rock Etam.

9 Then the Philistines went up, and pitched in Judah, and spread themselves in Lehi.

10 And the men of Judah said, Why are ye come up against us? And they answered, To bind Samson are we come up, to do to him as he hath done to us.

The book of Judges Chapter fifteen is the story of Samson the great champion; the man of God who was called from the womb. He was a man of destiny. God used him to answer the cry of Israel as a nation when they were under the oppression of the Philistines.

They cried to God to give them a deliverer and God sent a deliverer in one man. You must learn from the story of this man so as to become better especially in these days when men are looking for the way out.

If you turn to God, he knows what to do to bring us out of every bottled neck. Beloved, we must agree with God's plan for our lives.

At times, when we disagree with God's plan, it initially looks as if we would survive without God, but we will be harming ourselves to assume that we can. We can't do anything apart from him.

Ps.127:2

2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

The above picture is not saying that we cannot build without God, only that the work will not last. Because, God will not be there to defend it. That is why, every wise man will yield to God, and he will not allow the forces of darkness to destroy his works.

The bible says, that except the Lord watches, watchmen are watching in vain.

This is because no man can be alert for twenty-four hours.

Even when Peter was put in the prison in the book of Act;

Act.12:3-4

3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)

4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

And sixteen soldiers were kept on ground to watch him. They were still watching until an angel came and lose Peter. They woke up in the morning to see that Peter was no more there; only for Herod to kill them for not doing their job in keeping the man that was put in their custody.

It is important that we agree with God. Samson's mother has been looking for a child for too long and because the Israelites were crying for a deliverer, an angel appeared to his mother to declare his birth.

He was born with a commitment and consecration. The Philistines that were oppressing the Israelites that time were not part of the seven nations that God told them to wipe off, but God allowed them to make his people faithful as a thorn in their flesh.

The devil keeps us on our toes the same way. That's a prison yard for the lawless.

Hell is also there for those who will not take the offer of heaven. Because they waited for a child for too long. Samson's parent pampered the miracle child.

You know when you wait too long for something, you value it.

Samson was pampered, he decided to marry from the Philistines. As humans, we have choices, but we must be ready to face the consequences of our choices. He lived with his choice!

His parent spoke to him on the logical level but he did not heed to their advice. He thought he was disobeying his parents not knowing that he was disobeying God.

The failure of the parents of Samson was that they kept on admonishing him in the natural level. They could have told him how he was born, that he was a divine donation after waiting for a child for many years. They could have told him he was unique and marrying a philistine would violate the plan of God for him. They didn't do that.

Samson was sensual. He saw the beauty and the killing dressing of the philistine, and he fell for it.

Beloved, whatever you compromise to get, you will lose on the long run. We must point people to God and not to ourselves by using human reasoning.

If the parent had gone a step further by not going with him, he would have changed his mind but they went with him.

Many cannot separate between love and compromise. Yet, there is a difference between them. What binds us together is the truth and the truth is that Samson should not marry outside of the territory of Israel. It is easier to fall than to rise.

Marrying to a philistine will make him vulnerable to their attacks as marriage is a covenant.

It is easier to be pulled down than to be pulled up. This is the error of Eli, he compromised the standard of God for His children. Although, he warned them, but he kept eating the meat that was taken with violence from God's altar.

This weak, pampered love made the judgement of God fell on Eli and his house.

One thing that will stop you from agreeing with God is a life without vision.

Prov.29:18

18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

When people lack vision, they live carelessly.

Many have died today, not because God killed them but God had no choice than to receive them because they died from folly. They don't know the plan of heaven for their lives.

We are eternal beings. When the body dies, the spirit goes back to its eternal home, the real you never dies.

Today, many spent so much money decorating the outside man and ignoring the real man inside. It is not wrong to be attractive, but we are admonished to spend time developing our inner man.

Money should look for you. Provision is a compound word, meaning product of vision.

The ungodly in the world pursue provision, but God says when a man pursues vision, product of vision will follow him. When you pursue God, what God has will pursue you.

God told Abraham that he is his exceeding great reward. When you have God, you have everything.

Samson missed the perfect will of God in marrying the philistine. He returned after some times to claim his wife. But the parent had given the wife to his best man. Samson was angry, he took foxes and tied them together two by two putting fire in between their tails. They went ahead to consume the farm of the philistines. The Philistines in retaliation killed the parents of the bride and his wife.

Samson was vengeful and bitter. He did not pursue the will of God for his life. He retaliated by destroying the philistines.

So, the Philistine came to invade the whole land looking for Samson. In order to appease the philistines. Israel bound their leader (the one that God has sent) and delivered him to them.

Why not recognize the anointing on him to lead and be enlisted under him to make war with the philistines. A man is as rich as he's thoughtful. Opportunities often wear the cloth of opposition.

Many today are binding their leader with their mouths and refusing to support them.

They bound Samson and dropped him in the midst of the philistines. But as they dropped him, the Spirit of God came upon him. He rose up and killed a thousand of the Philistines with a jaw bone of an ass. He became very thirsty after the victory and God gave him a creative miracle. The jaw bone of an ass, produced waters for him to drink.

Beloved, to agree with God:

1. You must start with the right vision. God has a plan for your life.

2. Have the right people. Samson's vision was under trial, because the people around him did not see God's purpose for his life. They bound him. You need to always pray that God will bring you the right people.

Samson judged them for 20 years, yet his impact could not be felt, because his people did not unite with him.

Judge 15:20

20 And he judged Israel in the days of the Philistines twenty years.

Many don't understand teamwork. Teamwork is dream work.

3. You must count on the strength of God. They sold out their leader. They thought it was over for Samson. But God's strength was available to him. The devil's best shot will not destroy you if you are in faith and love. Samson made mistakes but God still helped him. He did not have a mentor to nurture the anointing

4. Speak to yourself, say the right things.

II Cor 4:13 says;

13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

Stop talking about problems.

5. From chapter 16, Samson went down. At the peak of success he felt it was his hand that gave him the victory. When he became thirsty, then he remembered God. Don't only remember God when you are in trouble. God delivered him. yet from that time, he went down. He forgot his link. Don't let the enemy disconnect you from God.

I Cor 10:13

13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

If God defended Samson in the midst of trials, beloved God will help you. Every trial is common. God will not allow uncommon temptations around you.

There is always an outlet. God has exit doors and it is only a dungeon that does not have side doors and even at that the way out a dungeon is the way up to the very top.

So never assume that it is over. There is no special problem.

God is faithful; there is a door of escape. So use your faith, stop getting offended for life is too short to allow bitterness.

Phil 1:28

28 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.

They could not stop Samson, so they cannot stop you.

Don't be intimidated by your enemy. The force of darkness will not stop you.

Samson could have blamed himself but he knew that God is giving him another chance. When you walk in the anointing of God, you will bring down the giant.

6. Learn to pray and seek his face. Samson's people failed him, yet he rose up. He failed in action but God is a God of a second chance God helped him. His name was put among the heroes in Hebrews 11. May you receive help from above in Jesus name.

7. The anointing will put you over forces of darkness.

Ps 92:10-11

10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

11 Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.

When a buffalo is shot with a gun, it has an instinct to know where the attack comes from. That is why you don't shoot a buffalo (unicorn) and remain where you shot it; because it will uproot everything along its path. The strength of the buffalo is in the horn.

God by the anointing will exalt your horn. The anointing gives you escapes. It gives you exceptional advantages. What they cannot do, you will do. You will outlive your enemies.

Ps 92:13

13 Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.

Even trees grow on rocky mountain; this is to remind you that nothing can stop you. Seeds dropped by birds in the rocks, break through and grow. You will flourish.

Don't allow anyone to push you out of the church, because your flourishing is linked to the church.

Beloved, you must continue in the labour of love, in the work of faith and in the patience of hope.

These are all important to make things turn around for you. God will use you for a show in the last days.

Ps 89:21-24

21 With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.

22 The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.

23 And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.

24 But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.

The lord strengthened Samson, He will strengthen you.

The enemy will not try his power on your life.

You must choose to agree with God. This makes the anointing to come mightily upon you.
