God is a systematic God. When you understand this, you will not be frustrated in life. Pursue God, never pursue money. A man of vision will outlast a man that depends only on provision. Let us see
Ps.106:7-8
7 Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.
8 Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.
The Israelites did not understand that God works in steps, so they became frustrated in their journey to the promised land. They suspected God's intention. They did not know that God's decision is bigger than what the enemy can do.
Ex 14:13
13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
Moses as a prophet of God was sensitive. He understood how God works but the Israelites kept on complaining and murmuring anytime they encountered difficulties.
Beloved, just a little Christian sense will embolden you to stand against the enemy. The Israelites failed because they were not thinking. They did not recognize the fact that God brought them out, not to destroy them but to bring them into the promise land.
Beloved, GOD WANTS TO ORDER YOUR STEPS.
Ps.37:23
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
Every born again Christian has a spirit that is good but it is not so for the body and the soul. God expects us to plan but our plans must be loose because life is full of contours. God has a purpose, and when you follow his purpose, you will not be defeated.
Prov 16:9
9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
At times, when you are following God, it looks as if you are going backward. This we see in the life of Joseph, but on the long run, his dream came to pass.
In 1987, Chevron Oil Company requested whether or not, I would be willing to come and work at their geo-chemistry laboratory in Lekki. When I got the letter, I was happy for the invitation to discuss but instead of accepting to go, God led me to Ado-Ekiti to work at the state university as a lecturer of petroleum geology because of a great assignment of pioneering a ministry in the land for him.
It was as if I was foolish for taking a lesser offer, so to speak. Ado-Ekiti in South-west Nigeria was not even a capital city as at then, but I was so full of excitement that I was in the will of God.

Beloved, there is something about being in the will of God. It is more than money. You also have your own road. God orders the step of the righteous. You must allow him to order your steps.
Phil.4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Paul wrote the book of Philippians in the prison, yet, he kept on encouraging them to rejoice, sixteen times in four chapters. This is because he knew that circumstances do not define us. He never called himself the prisoner of men. He always referred to himself as the prisoner of the Lord.
Don't let anybody or circumstance determine your joy.
Beloved, you must recognize this:
1. God sees the big picture of our life.
2. God is precise; He uses adversities and closed doors to move us into our destiny.
Those who shoot films, start from the end. When you are watching a replayed football game, you are relaxed. This is because you know the outcome.
God has already declared you as a winner before you start. So, relax! Your life is framed by the word of God, you are protected and watched over. So, trust in God, know that the best of us makes mistakes but God helps us not to stray. This is the reason we pray in tongues.
A pastor at a time wanted to go and preach in America. He told his men over there to organize a five star hotel for him to lodge in with his entourage. But the man that was to arrange the hotel forgot, instead he booked a small hotel, housed in a three-storey building.
The pastor was very angry on getting to the hotel. As he was still preparing for the meeting, there was an earthquake that happened. He looked from the floor where his room was located, wandering whether to jump down or not.
He later learnt that the five-star hotel he would have stayed had collapsed during the earthquake. He would have died with the hundred deacons in his entourage.
That the pastor forgot to book the hotel turned out to be a blessing. So, don't get frustrated for what you don't have. God can turn adversity around.
Prov 20:24
24 Man's goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?
3. Learn to focus on the bright side of life.
Don't see what the enemy is doing, focus on what God is doing in order to recognize the opportunities that God is creating for you.
Two men were sent to a country to see the opportunity to sell shoes there. One of them said; 'They don't wear shoes there. So, no need to ship in shoes'. The other man said; 'They don't wear shoes here. So, send me a ship load of shoes'.
It is what you see about life that becomes your experience. Make up your mind to enjoy your life; don't wait for things to change.
Col 3:2
2. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Set your heart on the good things that God is doing. Don't go out expecting problems. On the sand of history are thousands of men who have refused to go, and in not going, they died, because when you stop going, you will start dying.
Therefore, be enthusiastic, set your mind on victory. Enlarge your vision and refuse to give up on your dreams. The bible says that David encouraged himself when circumstances looked so bleak.
1Sam.30:6
6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
There are times in life that no one is there to encourage you but you must encourage yourself in the Lord. Make a commitment to celebrate. You must stand your ground. Don't lose the ground that God has given you. Anything you cannot confront, you cannot conquer. So, confront your issues. Your story will end in success.
Ps.107:22
22. And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.
Thanksgiving can be a sacrifice. Everybody can sing when things are working. But when you have not seen the outcome, your praises become a sacrifice.
Jonah was already praising God in the belly of a fish. He prophesized his deliverance then God commanded the fish to vomit him.
Jonah.2:8-10
8 They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.
10 And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
So, praise God in the midst of difficulties and the situation will turn around for your good. Sing in your midnight. Midnight represents a season of pain, troubles and opposition. Paul and Silas sang when their backs were bleeding for doing the will of God.
Acts 16:22-27
22 And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them.
23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:
24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
So, learn to turn the place of struggle and defeat to a place of thanksgiving. You can activate God's power through praises and turn the place of defeat to a place of victory.
4. Keep a right attitude. Your life is made of three days;
Today, The Hateful middle and your end.
You know yesterday, you know a little bit of today, you don't know the hateful middle, but God knows your end. But he will not tell you all the details so you will walk by faith.
He promised the Israelites the promised land but he did not tell them about the giants on the way. This is why it is important for you to stay in faith. Confess your way to your promised land. God is able to give you double for what you have lost. He did it for Job.
Job 42:10-11
10 And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
11 Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and everyone an earring of gold.
People thought that Job would die defeated, but God turned his captivity around. The same God will turn your captivity around in Jesus Name.
Set-back is normally a set-up for a come-back.
The devil is not in control of your life. He does not have the key to his own house. Never fear somebody that doesn't have the key to his own house. He was spoilt by our substitute.
Col.2:15
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Jesus collected the key. So, never fear the devil. The bible devil is a defeated devil. The devil that is not conquered is the one in your mind.
5. Quit listening to the accusing voice of the enemy. Forgive yourself. Don't live in deliberate sin.
Isa 66:4
4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
For whatever you don't resolve will kill your destiny. Don't let the devil make you feel as if you are not worthy to be blessed.
People that have been maltreated for long, carry a sense of shame around. This happened to the Israelites. But at Gilgal, God rolled away their reproach. He will roll away your reproach in Jesus name.
Don't dwell on your failure, for the devil likes to give you a wrong identity.
Look at Jacob, they called him a cheat, God had to change his name to Israel, which means 'A prince with God'.
They called Abraham childless but God called him Father of many Nations.
For Moses, they called him a murderer but God called him a Deliverer.
They called Saul (who was named Paul) an injurious person, but Paul testified that he was not guilty of any man's blood. He accepted that he was a new creation in Christ Jesus.
God takes your test and turned it into testimony. Prepare for the opportunities and things will turn around for you. God has a land with no shortage for you.
Deut.8:7-9
7 For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills;
8 A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey;
9 A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass.
The blessing of God makes up for what you do not have. God is able to bring you into the things he has prepared for you.
You do not need to envy anyone, just be happy for them. For what God has done for one, he is ready to do for another.
He has made us joint heirs with Christ. Our blessings are prepared blessings. Allow God to guide your steps into them.
