Mat.6:25-34
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Jesus did not say that we should not be thoughtful. The God that made everything perfectly well cannot be a thoughtless God. God is precise in his works, therefore, He is a thinker, and he wants us to think at the level of his thought.
God is warning us against worries and anxiety. He knows that worries affect us negatively.
The thought of what to eat, what to drink and what to wear brings worry and fears to us.
Birds don't worry, they picked their food here and there, for God cares for them.
God is showing us this comparison to show us the foolishness of worry.
The kingdom we came out from as an unbeliever is a kingdom of fear and worries.
Some even become worried whenever they are not worried. For in that kingdom, they do not expect good things out of life.
Abraham, the father of faith, took Lot on his journey to the promised land out of sympathy. But because of the little blessing that came on Lot, he despised Abraham.
You don't really know people until they are lifted. He caused trouble for Abraham. He did not even respect him or treated him as his father. He raised him to limelight, but God promised to raise a Messiah out of Abraham, so that all men can be blessed through him.
Lot had no respect for vision, he only had respect for what he could see. He could not see Abraham becoming a father of nations as God promised him. After all, age had caught up with Abraham on a wrong side.
Beloved, no one knows your end. It is a matter of time, the elephant will outgrow the goat, for elephants have the gene of greatness in them.
God usually plants greatness in unlikely places. Even our Lord Jesus came out of a dry root.
Isa.11:1
11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
If you will not give up in desperation, no one can defeat you. Lot made a wrong choice. He left Abraham and his family ended up partaking of his choice.

2 And Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites.
3 And Moab was sore afraid of the people, because they were many: and Moab was distressed because of the children of Israel.
They become distressed because of the Israelites.
There are some today that are afraid of your increase.
I heard a testimony of a man that his wife through witchcraft operation kept him in perpetual poverty. Whenever this man collected his salary, the children would be falling sick one after the other, until all the salaries were spent on medical bills.
This man went everywhere he could, seeking help because it was a continuous cycle. He did not know that the affliction was from his wife who appeared to be suffering with him in taking the children everywhere for cure.
When the woman was exposed, she confessed that she did this in fear that if the man became rich, he would abandon her and marry another woman.
Many today are under this bondage of fear. Some are so insecure that they cannot stand your being blessed.
As a result of fear, the Moabites engaged the false prophet, Balaam to curse the Israelites.
Beloved, there is no reason for insecurity and fear. The same God that multiplies somebody can multiply you the same. The Holy Ghost can help you, he is your advantage.
Fear is a spirit, stop being perplexed about the success of others. All manners of fear trap people today. Stress is rooted in worry and fear.
Medical science says that stress causes many sicknesses and diseases. It kills in millions, it makes people aged quickly.
You must confront fear by rejecting it. Never manage fear or worry. In fact, fear causes brain damage. Allow God to carry what he alone can carry. He has promised to take good care of us.
II Tim.1:7
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
The opposite of fear is power. When you are terrorized, you lose your ability to prosper.
My mother told me about one of her friends that was so afraid that she could not leave the house. One day, my mother forced her to come out by the little faith that she had after many months of staying indoors.
Many years ago, they also brought a woman to me that could not go anywhere because of fear. She became free when I prayed for her, rebuking the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus.
Beloved, positive thinking is not enough to deal with fear. You need Faith to deal with fear.
Use your faith, don't go around looking for men that will help you. Renew your mind with the word of God and confess your way to victory.
Rom 12:2
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Feed your mind with the word of God, it will drive fear away from you. Your mind is the door to your spirit. Think on the scriptures daily. The Holy Ghost inspired word becomes your advantage.
It is not how big your faith is but how well you use it.
Luke.17:5-7
5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?
Faith is a servant, use it for your advantage. Do not allow your faith to rest. Don't turn it to extra luggage.
The reason why people speak and it does not work is because the word is not rooted in their heart.
For the word to be rooted in your heart, you must meditate on it 'day and night'.
Jos.1:8
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Look at the scriptural promises that deals with your problems.
2 Cor 4:13
13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
There is no faith that does not speak. Therefore, release your faith by speaking it.
There is nothing on earth that you cannot control. You have been born-again through the indestructible word of God.
1 Peter 1:23
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.
Beloved, you belong to two families. You can reject the tendency to worry in your biological family. You are now a child of God. You now belong to the family that cannot be conquered.
Make your choice to live by your heavenly family.
Eph.3:14-15
14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named
Be conscious that you belong to God and there is no stress in God.
Let the Holy Ghost be your advantage. Say what God is saying about your life. You don't fight thought with thought. You must speak out the word of God. You are to bring word captive by the word of God in your mouth. Be loaded with the sword of the spirit.
Beloved, let us see how God handles issues.
Mrk.6:31-42
31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
32 And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.
33 And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him.
34 And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
35 And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed:
36 Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.
37 He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworths of bread, and give them to eat?
38 He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.
39 And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.
40 And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.
41 And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.
42 And they did all eat, and were filled.
We can see in this scripture that God does not handle issues the way the world handles them.
Human reasoning will always abandon you when you have problem. But Jesus told the multitude to sit down. He asked for the few loaves they had and multiplied it.
This fed five thousand men, not counting others. There is nothing you go through, either positive or negative that God cannot use to advance your future. So, never despise what looks small in your hand. Little becomes much when God is involved.
Is.32:14-15
14 Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens forever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;
15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.
Until the Holy Ghost is poured out, fruitfulness does not happen. Nothing is impossible when the Holy Spirit is present.
Deserts becomes a fruitful field, he turns things around in your life.
Dryness is not permitted. So, don't say it. Don't agree with the devil, let your faith arise.
Isa.48:17
17 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
Beloved, you are not an orphan. God is for you. Every manifestation of the Holy Spirit is to make you to profit with your own life. He teaches you what to do and lead you to your wealthy place.
John 14:26
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
There is nothing he cannot teach you, allow the Holy Ghost to occupy the driver's seat in your life. This is for your advantage. Stir him up. Take advantage of his presence.
John 16:17
17 Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?
The Holy Ghost is here in power we must depend on him to do what others cannot do.
The eagle is a bird that depends on the wind to get to heights that other birds cannot access.
Wind is the symbol of the Holy Spirit. And we are compared to eagles.
God gave the eagle an instinct on how to trap air under its wing. So it soars when other birds flap. So, they wonder how it soars.
Men will wonder at you when you learn to rely on the Holy Ghost.
In other for you to relate with the Holy Ghost for your advantage, you must;
1. Trust in the Lord. Prov.3:5
2. Engage your spirit. Jude:20
Don't treat God as a spare tyre, build your spirit. A house that is fortified cannot be overthrown.
So, spend time with God. Praying in tongue fortifies your spirit. It is not a waste of time.
Only a stupid robber will go to a military zone to rob, because such places are fortified. So beloved, fortify your spirit, this makes your word effective.
3. Instantly obey the voice of your spirit. Be careful to listen to the Holy Ghost.
It is not only hard work that brings results. Some say labour plus time results in success. But it is not every hard work that is rewarded.
There are issues beyond our control. There are people doing their best, yet, they are not getting desired result.
Luke 5:1-6
1 And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,
2 And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.
4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless, at thy word I will let down the net.
6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
Peter fished all night yet he had nothing. He invested, labour and time, yet no reward for his labour.
Labour becomes dignified when there is a partnership with the Holy spirit. You must hear his voice. Allow God to give you a miracle harvest. Don't just toil without result. With the Holy Ghost, you can get maximum result out of your efforts.
Romans 8:30
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
God did not call you for a disaster but for a blessing. Don't be overcome by circumstances, your tomorrow is better than today.
Diamond is obtained from carbon that has gone through pressure. So beloved, your better days are not behind you, they are in your future. You need some degrees of pressure to release all that lies latent inside of you.
The Holy Ghost in you is the same spirit that was in the Holy of holies. The high priest is only permitted to enter once in a year. His presence in you today shows the peculiarity of the mercy of God.
In the days of Eli, the high priest, when the ark of God was lost to the hands of the Philistines, the presence of God brought so much troubles to the enemies that they cried to the highest heaven.
Dagon the god of the philistines fell and was damaged beyond repairs before the presence of God in the ark.
Who can stand the power of his presence! What are bars and walls to the spirit of the living God. When even the sea saw him it fled at his presence.
