Those demons had betrayed their own species and allies, and after that, they burned the bodies of their prisoners and offered sacrifices to their highly respected spiritual figure - Soul of the Giant Demon.

This group of NPCs was different compared to other NPCs as they would steal from the characters and players in the game. The classics describing Kalamo stated that the souls in different realms were far more important to the Soul of the Giant Demon than the aborigines. This was a group of NPCs worthy of an opponent!

Lin Jie moved his body and tried to break free. However, it ended in failure. Those Giant Demons were only level 20, but they would grow and eventually become powerful Bosses as the game developed.

"Kalamo-muga…" The thin figured Giant Demon elder raised his right hand and threw the torch at Lin Jie.

'BOOM!'

The firewood burned ferociously, and the Kalamo Giant Demons prayed fervently.

The flames consumed Lin Jie's body, and the surroundings gradually turned dark. Lin Jie suddenly found himself in a pitch dark, barren land.

'Special Dungeon?' Lin Jie stretched out his hand as the shackles on his body had disappeared. His status returned to normal, and his level did not decrease as he was free to move. No one had mentioned about this piece of barren land at all in his previous life.

Lin Jie was positioned above the burning flames from before. 'Was it some inane cutscene the darn system had arranged?"

Similar to a desert, this barren wasteland was scattered with silver-gray weeds. As he plucked the weeds, a damp soil, a swath of chaos which resembled the color of ink, was revealed.

-'Mission starts now. Your objective is to kill 10 Giant Demon Headhunters.'

Slowly, a black Giant Demon, wearing a sturdy Raptor Mask, entered the scene. It was equipped with a bow as long as 1.5 person's height - the Giant Demons were experts in hunting.

Lin Jie looked at his backpack and thought, 'Damn, I did not bring sufficient supplies!'

His original plan was to change the map after killing Chanter Griffin. After all, there were still a few targeted Giant Demons in his mind, ranked as Gold-tiered Boss. However, he had not anticipated situation he was thrown in. Hence, he secretly decided to bring full supplies before going out and increased the capacity of his backpack in the future.

The Giant Demon Headhunter's eyes flashed and fully arched its bow, releasing an arrow at Lin Jie! The arrow whizzed past Lin Jie's ear and brought 20 HP of damage. If he was shot directly, more than half of his health points would be lost.

'Wild Charge!'

Lin Jie's speed soared, rushing toward the Giant Demon. An arrow was shot toward Lin Jie once more, brushing past his back. The Blade Aura Executioner, accompanied by Lin Jie's charge, smashed into the Giant Demon's abdomen with huge impact.

The Giant Demon shook its head and awoke from its dizzy state as it attempted to aim and shoot another arrow without retreating in the slightest.

Lin Jie frowned. He figured that this was the strongest Giant Demon of this map. However, he was not awarded any experience points. It was important to know that the experience of a level 3 Elite Giant Demon was deemed very high. If the Giant Demons in this map were worthless, then… Lin Jie really felt the urge to cry in vain.

Searching beneath the body of the Giant Demon, Lin Jie discovered a weapon's blueprints.

Lin Jie stored away the blueprint in his backpack as he finally held a little interest in the map he was in. This map had disabled communication abilities and it was likely easy to extricate himself from where he was. He could exit anytime by dying. However, Lin Jie could not die due to how he would definitely drop the Heritage Broken Blade upon death! How would he get back his Broken Blade then? Lin Jie found himself in a dilemma.

As he moved forward, the number of Giant Demon Headhunters had increased by multiple folds. Fortunately, there was no aggro with these biological creatures. Lin Jie skillfully circled around them before killing them. Even so, he suffered damage while engaging in melee combat. It depleted all of his remaining Bread and Health Potions.

The probability to find the Sub-Legendary blueprints was not as high as Lin Jie had expected. Lin Jie had already killed nine Giant Demons, which awarded him only with one blueprint piece.

The Broken Blade resisted and deflected the Giant Demon's giant bow's cleave while landing a serious blow with Rebel's Fight on the Giant Demon by consuming Rage. It generated a critical hit of 200 points. The Giant Demon stumbled on the ground, and it slowly vanished into thin air.

-'Mission Completed! You are rewarded with Guild of Light reputation +10 points. You are rewarded with the title of [Imperial Soldier]! In the next stage, the objective is to kill 100 Feral Giant Demon Headhunters.'

Lin Jie took a look at the description of the newly awarded title known as [Imperial Soldier] which stated, "Your attack has an additional 5% of Light Judgment. Show the title in the Guild of Light camp, in order to gain an additional of 10 reputation bonus points.'

This was an Attribute Titles which was very rare. It was stated that this achievement could be truly unlocked after a series of such rare achievements were obtained, just like being able to be equipped with additional equipment. The people in his previous life that had unlocked this achievement successfully were extremely rare. One example who crazily gathered these titles would be Dominance, who had held over 100 Attribute Titles.

It seemed that this task was difficult as much commotion was given on the topic of having this title and the reputation of the Guild of Light. The response, which gathered amongst all items except from the main story quest, termed it as a difficult challenge.

With the title as Imperial Soldier, 5% of the damage would be converted into Light Judgment. This would cause double damage to Dark Giant Demons while destroying their defense, increasing the total attack output.

The fallen Giant Demon had even dropped a backpack.

At this stage, the best seller in the market would be a 12-slot backpack made by Tailors, which cost around 3 silver coins. Although there was no experience awarded for killing them, Lin Jie could only steel himself and persevere on.

At the entrance of the Cat Demon Lair, many players opened a path automatically.

A group of people came slowly whilst the equipment on them seemed very neat, emitting a dazzling light.

"F*ck, this Triumphant Midnight's elite team? The man in the center seems to be Dumb Fox!"

"The beauty wearing ink-black armor is Inksnow!"

"They are all decked out in Bronze or Silver equipment. I wish I could join them."

"You need to be capable of doing it. Triumphant Midnight has high expectations of its members."

Listening to the crowd's discussion, Dumb Fox couldn't help but smile. He stood in front of the Leaderboard and looked at it for a long time before he said, "Our goal today is to break this record."

"Of course." Midnight said with a smile. After he recorded the video, Triumphant Midnight had studied the video for 4 hours straight and finally decided to lead the team and break the record.

Meanwhile, The Heavenly Shield arrived with his team in front of the dungeon, and looked at Dumb Fox before snorting with a snarl, "Fox, long time no see."

Midnight blinked as his vision scanned through the team and landed on one person.

As he looked down towards the Leaderboard, there was a trace of disgust in his eyes -Mighty Wings!
