Several Level 27 and 28 Mages with subpar equipment howled. After getting Eighteen Massacres' confirmation, three of them rushed up to attract the fire and were stamped to death.

The three Mages that had been after the rewards found out after their death that their souls had not left. Instead, their souls seemed to be under the 'Soul Trap' technique! If they were unable to release their souls within 30 minutes, they would not be able to be revived, unless the Holy Priest's Revival Spell was minimally 2 levels higher than the spell caster! Currently, the highest available level of the Revival Spell was only level 2, who else had any solutions to untrap the soul?

The token only had an effect during the mission period and was able to absorb the souls of players or monsters' to boost its power.

In reality, the Blood Token had 2 effects.

Blood Absorption: For every unit killed, its attributes would be added on to yours.

Soul Sacrificial Ritual: When you have absorbed a unit's soul and caused it to enter Soul Trap State, if it's unable to revive within 30 minutes, it would be superimposed to the soul layers. When you have reached the 500th layer, you would be able to summon the Vice Shrine Master to fight alongside you.

This was Eighteen Massacres' real motive! He was going to kill all these players to summon the Vce Shrine Master! This was the only method that would give him the confidence to complete the mission.

"These people did not seem to release their souls, and cannot be revived, what kind of shitty mission is this? Maybe this guy was the culprit of all these!"

In that instant, everyone was disturbed!

Everyone had come for the money, and now that they had heard that they would not be able to get the coins and might even have to lose a level of experience, everyone no longer had the same goal. After a round of havoc, there were already 456 souls collected in the Blood Token!

"Black Eye, release your Magic Flame Armor to defend us for a moment, let us kill this damned guy!" Everyone was full of hatred as they realized that they have been scammed.

After losing the Combined Formation Map, Black Eyes had been unable to release the Magic Flame Armor, how could they even provide defense?

Eighteen Massacres had already taken 'care' of the Hunters, who were the only ones able to add to the aggro—all of them were dead! Thus, Eighteen Massacres was invincible.

"After killing these people, I can summon the Vice Shrine Master and then kill the Earth Giants, forming the complete Mara Armor. Everything will be mine after I manipulate the Vice Shrine Master to complete the mission!" said Eighteen Massacres evilly. "Those idiots that joined the Dark Shrine still treat it as though joining a mildly dark team is part of a mission? Foolish! They should have the awareness of being against every other player. What's the point of killing monsters in order to collect souls? How can the speed of collecting souls from killing players be matched by killing monsters?"

Countless souls filled the sky and were absorbed by Eighteen Massacres, while the blood vigor grew in intensity. The Blood Token reflected a partial bulk of the attributes to Eighteen Massacres after sucking in the souls.

Eighteen Massacres turned his target to the surviving Black Eyes Guild and Small Melon's team. He broke into a smile while the Seven Style Spear glimmered and grew multi-folds in size, and a pike flew out like a cannon!

An Areof-Effect skill, which was able to cause the target 65% damage and disregard 30% of the target's Defense.

This skill's attack could not compare to the basic Warriors' Whirlwind Areof-Effect skill, and its attack region was a rectangular shape instead of a circular one. However, these could be compensated by the skill's disregard of 30% of the target's Defense.

However, all these were unimportant, the point was, the remaining health points of the surviving players were insufficient to withstand Eighteen Massacres' attack. Once they got hit by this attack, it would be the end! Then, Eighteen Massacres would absorb the souls and summon the Vice Shrine Master!

"Hmph, Eighteen Massacres, you want to kill them? You have to get past me first! Holy Light Winged Armor! Enchanted Scaly Armor!"

In order to stop Eighteen Massacres, Lin Jie's ability had been boosted to the max as he had prepared to shoulder the full attack.

With the simultaneous endorsement from the Holy Light Winged Armor and Enchanted Scaly Armor, Lin Jie's Defense was even higher than Elite Shield Specialists. Also, Eighteen Massacres' skill could only cause 65% of damage, even though it disregarded 30% of Defense, so it was unable to deal Lin Jie much damage.

Lin Jie stood in front of the crowd as though he was Ares, the God of War. He stood with such aura as though he alone would be able to hold back all the enemies!

What Lin Jie said, shocked everybody!

"Dark Shrine! This guy is a player from the Dark Shrine! That place is filled with Zombies, Undead, and Spirits, just like the hell world on television! Who in their right mind would want to stay there?"

"It was said that Dark Shrine players can consume the Dark Holy Water to increase their attributes, it would be normal if they joined to strengthen themselves. But this guy… He is called Lone Wolf? Codename Lone Wolf?"

"Brotherhood's Leader! I've seen him battle in the City of Light before! He was wearing the 6 Winged Armor covered in scales and held a broken blade. Although there are some changes in how he looks now, this is undoubtedly Lone Wolf!"

Small Melon and the others were stunned, wasn't that fellow their previous employer?

Black Eyes was surprised as well. His eyes goggled as he was unsure of how to face Lin Jie.

"Don't be in a daze, hurry, settle the current situation first! Small Melon, hold this Combined Formation Scroll and unleash the Magic Flame Armor with your teammates to block the Earth Giants' attack. Black Eyes, if you do not want to lose your levels and equipment just like that, fight!" Lin Jie howled as he threw the scroll, which landed in the hands of Small Melon and his team.

The team glanced at each other, then nodded their heads and proceeded to stand on 6 different positions. They were not dumb, as they took off the cloth armors they had on and equipped the armors that they had been rewarded from the mission, to boost the Magic Flame Armor's defense powers.

There were still a dozen more people remaining, some from the Black Eyes, some from other unnamed guilds.

"Black Eyes, throw away your Toxic Powder and pick 3 of your strongest men, I will give you guys a Fire Crystal each, this is the best channeling material. Unleash Pyroblast and destroy him!"

Then Lin Jie then threw out 3 Fire Crystals. Although these were rare materials, nothing was more important than killing Eighteen Massacres. Lin Jie's Ancient Wilderness Curse had already reached Level 18, and he was left with 1 slot to kill—More killings would result in a level drop.

One level could take 3-4 days or even a week's time! Unless he found an unexplored map filled with Enhanced Elites like Midolhaar, he would be unable to level up so quickly.
