Kael Cor: A Vampire's Awakening Chapter 344 Return To Shearath X : Bloody Banquet 1

So the most basic rule about hosting a banquet was that you had to be mate to your own party. Well that's understandable, especially when you're making a statement. Your guests, had to wait for you, while you were fashionably late, either way it was time, at this point the entire party should have been going on full swing, and it was time for me to show my face. For some reason I felt nervous, but it shouldn't matter, not today at least, after all this is going to be one bloody banquet.

I made my way out of my dressing room to see Xaseah and Asha already ready and prepared. Xaseah had this really bright smile on her face, but for Asha it was blank, like she was here and not here at the same time, I gave her a smile and she returned a nod. It was weird, and it definitely wasn't her, I didn't understand what was going on and she wasn't talking to me about it. Or maybe I did know what was happening, and I'm just choosing to ignore it, I chose not to see that I was losing her, that I might have already lost her.

"What are you waiting for Husband, come on, our guest are waiting." Asha said to me, her tone and look very different from a moment ago, almost as if she had become an entirely different person.

I nodded my head and walked towards them, just as they carried Cassiel and Michael, both of which were busy squirming around their mothers grasp, completely awake and unwilling to stay put. I gave them both a kiss, pulling my head away as they both tried to pull my hair. This was my family, we were complete, and we were happy, but I couldn't help the feeling that sometimes soon in the future, something is going to go wrong, and this time it won't be coming from outside or because of other enemies, we're going to do it to ourselves.

We made our way out of the room, down a few stairs and elevators with an entourage with us. I stayed close to them, not saying anything, but relying on our bond to be able to communicate with each other, and even though we didn't use words, we were able to convey our feelings to each other. It's why I knew that even with everything weird that's happening with Asha, she still loved me, she loved all of us, she was just changing and there was nothing neither I, nor Xaseah and our children could do to stop it. It was frustrating, but it was an inevitable situation that we couldn't prevent, we can only watch, and pray she stays.

THE BANQUET
GUS

This bloody place smelled like entitlement and lies, how Gus was able to perceive such a scent, it would remain a speculation for millions of people in the years to come. But for now anyway, it was driving him insane, and maybe more than a little hungry. This place was filled with humans, and human blood was an almost irresistible delicacy for a vampire, but he was confident of his self control.

The ability to control yourself and abstain from drinking blood does not come hard to a vampire except you're at the Revenant rank, thankfully there's no one at that rank here, which means should any mistake be made, it would be because of choice rather than hunger or not being able to control his or herself. But that was beside the point and Gus wasn't really in the mood to debate the intricacies of controlling the hunger and the lust for human blood with no one but himself, or Teluna who was busy hitching a ride within his shadow.

This banquet felt all kinds of wrong to Gus, this was not the way the Sperans partied. They don't dress in clothes that seems to be chocking the very goodness and decency out of them, though he had to admit that the women got the dressing part down. The generous amount of cleavage and creamy tights being shown was enough to drive most men, including Gus with all of his discipline and training insane. Besides he couldn't be judged for staring at one or two women a lot longer than was required, after all he was only fourteen, and this was the time he explored the unknown, which in this case are females, lot's and lot's females.

But that could be left for later, or maybe in about a yeah or two. Sure vampire age faster, and by twelve they're already considered adults. But the rest of the world would view touching a fourteen year old boy as child abuse, not that he cared though. If he wanted a woman he could get one, he was a vampire at the Nosferatu rank after all. But this was not the time for such thoughts, Gus used to think that his mind was a steel trap, capable of retaining much, and incapable of traveling or wandering, and then this bloody shit called puberty happened.

And the unfortunate angle to that was the fact that vampires spent a longer time in puberty than humans, after all for them it starts at eleven, all the way till they're 23. And at that time things like mood swings and alternate personalities were the norm. Gus didn't think someone gave Kael the rundown or how a vampire matures and how he could still be considered a teenager according to vampire standards, he was only twenty one after all.

"Gus have you noticed anything yet?" he heard Teluna talk to him through the telepathic link they share.

"There are thirteen governors on Leo, nine of them are here in person and the remaining four sent representatives instead. The four that aren't here have their city states situated to the west, directly in contact with the rest of the human coalition, so without a doubt they're in cahoots with the other governors and feel confident of their chances since they're closer to allies than the remaining nine.

However based on how this party has been going so far, six of the governors here came with hidden agendas, the remaining three are governors with city states close to the pride city, including the governor of the pride city itself. However nice he might seem to the people, the dude is quite a sneaky little bastard, because in just forty minutes of his arrival, he has had prolonged eye contact with each of the other eight governors, exchanged notes and even grabbed the ass of three of the female governors, much to the annoyance of his wife.

But she also came here with a hidden agenda, you see the way she's staring at that Nephilim and him at her, odd are that she would excuse herself in the next five minutes to go powder her face, and our innocent fallen angel will follow just for a chance to go balls deep into the wife of a human dignitary, a revenge scheme with both sides playing each other, which means we have a way into the mind of the governor of the pride city."

Gus said as true to his words, the governor's wife excused herself from their circle of friends, and went towards the side door, with Nephilim following right behind her.

"Do we follow her?" Teluna asked as Gus's shadowed rippled and he stepped out of it, dressed in an all black suit that made his twelve and half year old face look even more handsome than most adults.

"That's going to be your job Shadow Master, go get us some leverage that would bring the governor's wife knocking our door. I know Kael wants this done fast, but he did say we should off them all at our own discretion, and we will be keeping the governor of the pride city for last, after we've played a few games with him and his wife that is. Because to be honest, for a human, that woman is even more beautiful than I imagined." Gus said to Teluna with a rather sinister looking smile on his face.

Teluna shook his head, and even more sinister smile on his face. These two were good kids, (kind of), but they have both been staring into the abyss for a little too long, learning to wield it's secrets and the shadows in it. They would always act in the best interest of their families and their friends, but like the old saying goes, if you stare into the abyss long enough, it stares right back at you, or in their case, they become the abyss itself. Kael wouldn't realize for quite a while that he had created two of the most loyal and dangerous monsters the universe would ever see, luckily for him they were the good guys. But if the seventh universe has proven one thing, it's that good guys do bad things for good reasons...or maybe they're just a pair mischievous teenagers with nasty things in mind.

TELUNA

If anyone noticed a teenager dressed head to toe in a black suit with a sword hanging on his back, they didn't say. But Teluna moved through the shadows, following behind the wife of the pride city governor as she made her way to a secluded alcove outside the ball room. Teluna caught with her and the Nephilim all over each other as their hands roamed over their bodies. Obviously both she and the Nephilim were quite familiar with such scenarios where they had to pleasure their partner really quickly.

She was wearing a red dress with diamonds on it, she was one of the few eye catching reactions of the party, and it was all due to the splendor of that dress, but right now the straps of the dress were roughly pushed aside as her milky white breasts were exposed to the night sky, Teluna gulped down a mouthful of saliva. The Nephilim raised her dress up as his trousers feel to his ankles, and in one well practiced thrust, he went into her as she released a loud moan that was thankfully drowned out by the loud noise from the party.

Teluna caught whiff of a scent, it was almost foreign to him, but he knew what it was. It was the scent of desire, of need and want, and without restraint his fangs slid out of his mouth. The Nephilim raised his wings up and he continued to thrust fast and hard into the woman, both their breaths labored as they bashed in the pleasures of their sinful activities.

Teluna suddenly remembered that he was here to gather evidence, and so he brought out a simple crystal that began recording the images and the scene of secret carnal pleasures happening in front of him. But it was becoming harder to keep his concentration, the more the Nephilim moved and the woman moaned in return, the more his fangs ached, and an intense need overcame his body. He was hungry, very hungry but at the moment he had no idea what he was hungry for.

But this torture thankfully came to an end as the Nephilim gave one hard thrust that saw the woman screaming and biting into his shoulders as a spray of liquid escaped from where they were connected. The Nephilim grunted loudly as his exposed butt clenched and his breaths got a bit heavier. For Teluna it was almost as if a huge weight was lifted of his shoulders as he watched them gather their clothes and prepare to return to the party.

He dissolved into the darkness, not to be seen by anyone until he found his way back into the shadow of his partner. Teluna didn't need to tell Gus what he had seen for Gus to understand why his friend came back all sweaty and confused. Gus saw the entire thing just from a cursory glance in Teluna's mind, and given how loud his current thoughts were, it was nothing short of a miracle that Teluna had not attacked the Nephilim and the woman. As for what kind of attack it would have been, it was better to leave certain things unsaid.

It was only until I got to the party that I realized that I really didn't want to be here, but it was a little to late to back out now. As soon as my presence was made known, the entire banquet became silent and all eyes were on me and my family. Well it was time to play a role, and there's was no room for uncertainty. I had to do what I brought all this people here for, so smirked, because right now an I'm so sure of myself and you guys are nothing smirk was needed. I spread my arms wide and prepared to give a speech.

"Welcome governors to my humble home. Though some of you are missing, I'm quite honored the rest of you could join me in celebrating the birth of my son and daughter. Of course they were born a few months ago, but better late than never. Please help me welcome Cassiel Castitas Cor and Michael Decus Cor, the grand prince and princess of Spero, and the heirs to the Cor royal family."

They clapped, just as any bureaucrat would, but they were confused, since when did the Cor noble family become a royal family. I had no intentions of explaining that to them, it would probably go over their thick skulls, but I was here to make a statement, one they wouldn't forget before most of them depart for the next world in the coming months.

"I've become King of the vampires, the Serpentis, the Nephilim, and the dark elves who you allowed to come to Shearath, but refused to lend any help to. I've also become king of the giants and gnomes. And soon enough king of the humans too, once I take back everything that belongs to me."

Their confusion seemed to be increasing, and with every race I called, the ballroom would be occupied on one side by a member of said race. The Dark elves, giants and the Nagas were the most eye catching amongst all of them, but I wasn't done scaring the ever living shit out of these group of people. They needed to know that what ever I ask for, there's no room for negotiation or rebellion.

They needed to know that I had the power to back up my threats, and that I was not going to let anyone or anything stand in my way, not when the lives of my family hung in the balance. So I made sure to stare each and every single one of them in the eyes as I said to them.

"And I'm also King of the Dragons!"
