Kael Cor: A Vampire's Awakening Chapter 238 Cassiel Castitas Cor & Michael Decus Cor

"Husband, how long are you going to pretend you're asleep?" Asha asked me as she poked my cheek
"As long as I need." I answered back, raising the blanket higher as I buried myself deeper under the covers of my bed.
"They're still going to be waiting for you, I get it, you're nervous about meeting your kids for the first time. But if you don't name there, and carry out the ritual of new birth, things could get a little complicated. They're hungry." Xaseah said as she pulled the blankets off my body.
I opened my eyes and watched them loom over my face with amused smiles etched across theirs. They obviously found my cowardice funny, nut I guess they were right, I had to see his through.
According to vampire tradition or customs, every time a child is born, they're first fed, by their parents. Which is to say, the first taste of blood they should have in this world, has to belong to the people who gave them life, it creates a sort of mini bond, a supernatural connection or tether between parent and child.
Of course it actually fades once said child or children reach the age of sixteen, because let's be honest, your parents knowing where your are, or if you're hurt of happy for most if not all of your life doesn't sit well with youngsters. But at least this way, their parents could have a measure of connection to their children, understand them, and be able to protect them.
I'm sure parents back on earth would kill for an ability like that, because let's be honest, being a teenager and on earth meant a whole lot of things. But the prime factor would probably be the word complicated, coupled with a boat load of teenage angst and unrestrained hormones. My God! What have I gotten myself into.
Asha and Xaseah led me to a side room adjacent to ours, looks like during my time unconscious, myself, Asha and the babies had been moved from the infirmary tower. And the fact that Asha was up and walking after just giving birth to twins! Was amazing, but it was normal, at least for vampires.
The door to the room was pushed open, and Farina and Kuyait were there waiting for us, right beside a pair of cradles. Just to avoid fainting or freezing like a deer in headlights, I marched forward, ignoring everything until I was standing over them.
They were awake, my boy and my girl, my children. I guess when you think about it, I can no longer be called young or kid anymore. I've just undertaken the biggest responsibility any living thing could ever take, and this responsibility was the most valid form of maturity, being a parent.
The first thing I noticed was their hair, it was a mishmash of dark blue and black, and even though there wasn't a lot of it, it covered their heads like an umbrella. Their skin was light, but that wad probably because they were just born. As soon as they grew older, it would probably settle in shade between their mother's fair skinned body and my dark skin. It was weird, in the stories when someone reincarnates into another body, skin color didn't usually change, but mine did. But I didn't mind though, this is who I am now, who my children needed me to be.

They were both awake, staring up at me with piercing violet eyes that faded from violet to a golden brown. They were Dhamphirs, so it was not necessary for their eyes to be a particular color all the time. The golden brown eye color was normal, it's one of the defining trait of the Cor family, while the purple just proved one thing. My babies were born at the Nosferatu rank, which means as vampires, they're as strong as their old man.
"Husband we need a little blood from you?" I heard Asha say from behind me.
I didn't even answer as I stretched my hand backwards for her, keeping my focus on both their faces as I fought the urge to start crying again. They were so small, so tiny and fragile. Vulnerable, yet powerful enough to make most people pee their pants in fear. This feeling I was having was surreal, like no matter what, I could be away from the both of them, and that every second I spend away from them, is a second that kills me.
How was it possible to love someone so much, I felt laying the world right at their feet and letting them walk allover it as much as they wanted to. I wanted them to be happy, always. I was scared about failing them, but I'm going to try my best to be the best father possible, because they deserved that. And in a way, I can use it to atone for the shortcomings of both my father's, to show them wherever the fuck they are, that I could do better and be better than they ever were. This was my chance.
Asha and Xaseah came to the side of their cribs with a feeding bottle filled to the brim with blood. I looked down on my wrist to see a cut almost finished healing as Xaseah and Asha started feeding them both. A lot of weird things happened at that moment, that left me with raised eyebrows.
First a strange wind came blowing from God knows where, carrying with a scent of blood, the sea, earth, and ash. I had no idea what that meant, but it spooked me, and based on the weird looks everyone in the room had, this was also not normal for them. As if that wasn't enough, the blood in the bottle was drained so rapidly that I had to wonder if we were really feeding babies. And then it was all over.
"Have you guys chosen their names?" Kuyait asked from behind us.
"Yeah we have. The girl's name is Cassiel Castitas Cor, and her brother is Michael Decus Cor." Xaseah answered as she carried a big smile on her face.
And then she brought Cassiel over, placing her tiny form in my arms. It was rather awkward for me as I was afraid that my hands and arms were to big, but she fit into it just perfect. Like this hands were only ever meant for her, and has been waiting for her and her brother to come into it.
Asha had chosen to name them Michael and Cassiel, apparently she had a thing for angels and celestials, who knew. But Decus and Castitas was all on me. It meant Glory/Honor and Perfection. It was Latin, and to be honest I had no idea why I chose those names, it just worked really well for me at the time. And now it belongs to my kids.
"I guess it's time we show them to everyone else, though I think we should wait for the rest to come back. Just so they won't miss anything." Asha said as she brought Michael over.
They were already sleeping, seems like they were tired. I handed Cassiel back to Xaseah and watched as she and Asha placed the both of them back into their cribs, sound asleep and well looking as peaceful as one could ever imagine. That giant really was right, the future has arrived, my future.

"Cornelius I take it you've heard the news. Asha has given birth, a boy and a girl. And if rumors are to be beloved, they called upon the elements, bearing witness to their birth, naming and first feeding. If we thought Kael Cor was a threat, then his children would bring about great change.....or a great disaster in the wrong hands."
"Come on Shamir it might just be nothing. Asha is an elder, maybe the pain of childbirth forced her abilities to manifest in different ways, and one of those ways was conjuring the elements." Cornelius explained as he took a massive gulp from a goblet of blood.
"Don't be stupid Cornelius, nothing is ever that simple when Kael Cor is called into the equation. And you can bet his half breeds would be just as wild and crazy as their father. Didn't you notice how the air just seemed a bit lighter, the lights from the districts dimmer and a festering feeling of joy cascading allover the pit. He has broken the bloody sealing array, and now he's everybody's hero. As of this moment, not our words, or our power can match up against his, because they all worship him now. And to make matters worse, he has a legacy, do you understand what I'm saying, a LEGACY! So even if he dies today, those brats would grow up in time to pick up the slack and finish whatever he's started!" Shamir yelled as he got to his feet.
"Wait a minute Shamir, I want to ask, how is it that you know all this has happened. I know Ethernalia Leonis has created some sort of machine to communicate through long distances, but based on our position, and considering; Kael Cor is out for our heads, how did you get all this information?" Cornelius asked with a confused expression on his somewhat drunk face.
"You don't need to worry about that. All you have to know is that I have my sources, and spies within that 'perfect' city of theirs. But that still doesn't change the real problem on board here. Kael Cor has gotten to powerful, right now he's practically untouchable to both you and I, and that pasty ass elder. We need to get rid of him quickly, before he grows to a point we can no longer contain. If not as long as he's still alive, our plans won't come to fruition, and we both have to keep looking over our shoulders." Shamir said to Cornelius as he took a deep breath.
"Alright then Shamir, what do you suggest we do?" Cornelius asked as he shook his head rapidly.
"Simple, since we can't kill him ourselves, we get someone to do it for us. The master is almost at the Dracula rank, and once he gets there, with Ming Bae Ki still trapped, we can take over everything that's in the pit, and become the true power. Because whether they like it or not, we're what this people need. We can only ever take our place in the world, when we've thoroughly cleansed ourselves of filth and dirt. But Kael Cor can not die by our hands, since we don't know how long it would take the master to become a Dracula, we have to move fast and employ the help of a their party." Shamir said.
"Oh! Do you mean the council of light." Cornelius asked.
"Are you mad! You should be thankful that I'm overlooking the fact you were once their very own messenger, a dog who wagged his tail when ever they whistled at you. If not for the fact that our goals align, and you have resources I need, I would have killed you the moment I set eyes on you. Because let me tell you Cornelius Daneaitani, your very presence is revolting to me. Because unlike that idiot Kael Cor, you have no honor or loyalty to your people. So no! You dimwit! I wasn't talking about the council of light, I wad talking about the Serpentis." Shamir lashed as he took a cup water and turned it's liquid contents down his throat.
"What! Why?" Cornelius asked. "Why would they agree to helping us?" He added.
"Because They're a warmongering race, and if we can make an alliance with them, we would have an army, and some of the best assassins to deal with Kael Cor. And currently they're also our biggest threat considering one of the maps to Idaho is actually with them. We can take out two birds with one stone, have Kael Cor fight them, with both sides chipping against each other until they were both dead and severely Injured. Then we can walk allover their broken bodies and do what we want." Shamir explained.
"That seems like a good plan." Cornelius said to Shamir. Shamir didn't say much but nodded his head as he turned to face the wall.
"Get ready Cornelius, it's about time Kael Cor finds his place in this world, and that's directly under my feet, as nothing more than bones and decaying flesh. Kael Cor has to die."
