"I don't expect a half breed vampire like you to understand. Even if you're born a vampire, your bloodline is not clean enough to know and understand the true call of our homeland. For our heritage, our true civilization, rather than a mockery of a city created a rich spoilt kid with nothing better to do, dying would be an honor. Suffering would be a privilege. Our civilization owes nothing to you, but it is because of it that you're here. In the old days, none of you would be worthy of having title vampires, the purity of your bloodline is in question, and yet instead of hungering for a noble quest, a quest that would redeem your filth, you speak as if your true loyalty is to a toy city that couldn't even keep you and your families safe when it mattered. Hah! Pitiful and disgusting." She turned to leave, but she was stopped by someone who hardly ever speaks, it was Black, and his sister was right behind him.
"your so called civilization never kept us safe or fed when it mattered. Before Ethernalia Leonis was born, we died everyday, suffered at the hands of the guards when, stuck-up self righteous bastards like yourself; who had the power to do something sat with your hands folded, and fashioned yourselves better than us. Because you think your blood is purer, because you were born from a line of vampires whose blood has never been tainted by any other race since the inception of vampirism by Count Vladimir Dragonov Dracula. Well then allow me to introduce myself and my sister. My name is Revan Sirculus Tepes Dracula, and my sister is Neva Collette Tepes Dracula. The most direct descendants of the dark lord himself, sired from the bloodline of his first son, the one who's name shall not be spoken, or mentioned. As far as vampires go, there's no blood more purer than ours, and by right of bloodline you're supposed to serve and protect my sister and I. You never cared to look down to the mud, so you couldn't see the gold left behind. And we suffered for it, your claim to purity of bloodline is stupid and childish right in front of us. The city you mock, gave us freedom, gave us a home, gave us a family, and the strength to protect that family. It is you who's unworthy of even mentioning it's name from that disrespectful and profane lips of yours."
Well that was a surprising turn of events, and I really didn't expect that Queen actually looked down on us. But it drew my attention back to the battlefield, the time when her brother had been wantonly killing in the name of cleansing the vampire bloodlines. She had never said she disagreed with him, only that I was under their Mistress's protection. Everything she's done so far has been under orders, and when there was no other way to hide, her disdain for what we are was shown.
To be honest I was disappointed, and a little heart broken. After so many years as captives, I expected that the vampire race would be a little more accepting and protective of each other, but Queen and her ilk had grown up protected from the horrors of the pit, and even worse they looked down on their fellow vampires during their time of pain and suffering. I looked up at her and couldn't even muster up the energy to be angry, a person like that must make a lot of effort to be so stuck up, I believed she's bound to leave a miserable and lonely life with nobody truly loving or caring about her.
And she was tongue tied by Black's...….well by Revan's revelation. Who would have thought, the direct descendants of the first vampire were actually two of my best envoys, in fact you could say they led the Envoys after me. And they stood behind me, our home and what we stood for. It wouldn't be farfetched to say that I was feeling really good about myself. But I also had to give her a piece of my mind. As a race the vampires were already being discriminated against by other races, of we do it to ourselves, then we've truly lost this battle even before it begins.
"Your Mistress was turned into a vampire, so I want you to ask you a question, is her blood impure and dirty. Is she unworthy, because if that's the case then you're a fucking hypocrite and the most ungrateful bitch I've ever had the chance of knowing. I refuse to believe that you follow her without respecting her at the very least. She's the only living Dracula, and she had every opportunity to escape, to leave this place and head for other planets that were accepting of the vampire race. She might have needed to hide for a few hundred thousand years as Shearath had not entered the age of Interstellar travel during the vampire war, but she would have been safe. But instead she took in a whole lot you, protected you, raised you, and taught you to be strong. She a human that was turned into a vampire, she; a person who was once a slave to the civilization you so worship, yet she didn't dwell on it and took care of you. I think she's crazy, insane, and is plotting against me. But at the very least she understands, that there's no pure blood, or half breed. There's only vampire. It's because of people like you we're still here! In the darkness, suffering! If there's anybody unworthy of being a vampire here, it's you. Because if you can't protect your fellow vampires, you're not worthy of any honor or respect. Because in the world we live in now, blood means nothing, only power, and power doesn't come from standing alone, it comes from family. Where is yours? And even if they're there, are they worthy. Because my family is, beyond every reasonable doubt, worthy of being Vampires!"
