Kael Cor: A Vampire's Awakening Chapter 303 The Forest Dungeon III : The God Of Vampires

He didn't look like he was lying, not one bit, and the fact that what he was saying might be true, scared the ever living shit out of me. My mind split into numerous pieces, each having their own reactions to his reveal. Of course I was mostly skeptic, what were the odds that I would meet the first vampire in all of existence by just taking a simple stroll in the woods. The odds were 1 to a bazillion, or maybe more if there were any other zeros to be added. But yet here we are, looking at each other.

"You don't have to be so tense I'm not going to eat you, though I must say you are quite the delicacy." He said to me as he sat back down on the ground, somehow controlling the grasses in the glade to fluff up and become some sort of pillow for him to lean back against.

I couldn't help but shudder at the sound of his words, and that was because with his cloak off, his voice became a lot more different than the deep rumble I heard. His voice was elegant and sultry, and I weirdly felt that it flower like honey from the lips of a goddess. And with the way he looked at me, I couldn't help but question his sexual orientation as I shifted back a bit.

"First you prepared to fight me should I make any wrong moves, but here you are looking at me like a scared puppy, not worried about the threat I might pose to your life, but rather the threat I might pose to your body. Is a sexual orientation something that can scare a king such as yourself into a shell of a tiny boy. Please calm yourself young one, we can talk and deal with pleasure later, it's time to talk business."

While he was talking all I kept on saying, over and over in my mind was that I was not gay. Dracula was not like normal vampires, not even those who have reached the rank of Dracula, a rank named after himself, could compare to the sheer power he had oozing from his body. You might call it his charisma, or his aura, however all I know is that every time he spoke, I had this urge to kiss allover his perfect skin and worship him.

This much power from a vampire that's supposed to be old as fuck scared the crap out of me, and even though he kept telling me to calm down, I couldn't because it was really a annoying how affected I was by his presence. He could ask me to kill myself then and there, and I'm afraid I wouldn't have the will to resist. That was an insane amount of power hanging over my head.

"What do you want from me?" I asked with an as steady as possible voice, however the words came out like the croak of a dying frog. Dracula smiled with amusement and mirth etched allover his face, and at that moment the only thought that went through my head was 'What a beautiful man'. Cue in intense shudder as goosebumps showed up allover my body.

"Well young king, you're right that I do want something from you, but once you hear what I have to say, you would be gaining a lot more from me." Dracula said as he waved his delicate pale hands, and the yellow flames of his campfire turned into the bright blue of soul fire.

"I need you to build me a temple."

I blinked my eyes, confused and very underwhelmed. This was what he wanted me to do, seriously? Apart from the fact that the request sounded bogus as hell, and very weird. The way he said it was so normal that I could have said no if I wanted to, without being coerced by his sheer awesomeness. But still, why a temple, what the fuck could the first vampire in all of existence really want a temple for, why not a castle or something similar.

"I'm waiting for you to ask me why, but based on your reaction, I see that it's a character trait of yours to always think and ponder on what your opponents or companions mean, before asking the question that would confirm whatever answer you've concluded. It's a commendable trait, it means you can read people's quite well, and as a king that's a talent that would go a long way in helping you run your kingdom. But doing that in front of a being who is powerful enough to erase you out of existence is quite disrespectful, powerful people don't have that much patience. So look at me and let me tell you why I need you to build me a temple."

I would be incredible raft and stupid if I was incapable of recognizing a threat when it was thrown right in my face. I guess in a situation like this, humility was the best way to go. At least with this threat of his, it has confirmed a few of my suspicions that I was dealing with a very powerful being. And the fact I couldn't feel of trace said power left me feeling unsettled, because that means I can't gauge the threat, even though it's sitting right in front of me. The only thing I felt form him was a charisma so powerful he could convince nature to become his very own pillow…..Damn!

"Once you're done with your business in Transylvania and you head back home to Ethernalia Leonis, you will build a temple for my worship. And it has to be worthy of my name, my power and my grandeur. Doing so will not only make me stronger, but it would also make the vampire race more powerful as well, unlocking new paths and gifts for their evolution."

"Okay I have to ask, why the hell would building you a temple make you and the vampire race stronger. No matter how you look at it, it doesn't make sense."

Dracula smiled, showing pearly white teeth and sharp fangs that just made his perfect looking mouth look even more amazing that it already is. The blue soul flames that had no become our campfire blazed up and began to take on various shapes. And then the shapes peeled off from the main flames, and tiny blue flame figures of horses, fishes, dragons, men, elves, giants etc. began to run all around the glade. They lit the place up giving this dark forest an almost eerie beauty to it's terror ridden atmosphere. Dracula stood up, placed his hands on his back and started walking around me and Soren.

"What do you know about gods young king, how are they made, how are they born. I used to be like you, mortal, weak. And regardless of how my story has been told within the seven universes, of doesn't change the fact that I was born from the pages of a book, and given life by the wills, choices and imaginations of men, women and child alike. For a very long time I resented your people and your world for my existence, unlike many of the other monsters and hero's born within the seven universes, I was born different, unique. I was a universal being, an existence that transcends dimensions, I knew who I was, and how I was born. And I hated myself, knowing that I was born from the fantasies of men.

It took me a while to come to terms with my existence, to understand that just because I was made and born from an imagination, I was never less real or human than before. I had a soul, a spirit and a body, and I was grateful for that. You know how the story goes right? I met the devil, made a deal, and then became the first vampire. Seeing as Lucifer was a being of light that fell to darkness, he was unable to completely turn me into what his real vision of a vampire was....a creature of darkness so powerful it is prone to destruction with every breath it takes. He was a fallen son of heaven, which means he never stopped being an angel. So I became a creature of the dark and on occasions of the light, stuck in between them both, neither one or the other. But we're not here to discuss me life story, that would be left for another day, but the point is, on account of being the first vampire, and someone who managed to claw his way up to godhood. I became the god of vampires."

So that's what this whole story has been heading towards. I can't say I didn't understand what he felt, being different from everyone else who believed that Shearath and the seventh layer universe was all they've ever known. He knew who he was, how he was born, but it seems he doesn't know about earth. Well he knew about the planet, but not that the planet is responsible for his birth and the seven layer universes. I could tell him, but I didn't see the need to do so.

Existential crisis aside, he seems to have figured out who he is now, and who he wants to be. At this point we both know that he has gone completely of script and plot of what the minds on earth could think of. After all he was now a god, and I know we made him that way.

"With the war the vampires went through, beaten almost to the point of extinction, I had lost much of powers. So much so that I couldn't maintain my godly domain, and had to spend the remaining millenniums wandering around my old kingdom, connected to every vampire. So over the years I've watched my children suffer and die, born, turned or perverted by demonic energy of that bitch goddess Kali. I can no longer get stronger the normal way, not since I shed my mortality for divinity. The only way that I can get strong again, to prepare for the war you and I both know is coming, is to be worshiped by my people. And as grow stronger, so to will they. But in the end the choice is theirs, only the gift of freewill, the choice to serve willingly would give me the power I need. All I need you to do is build my a temple."

I believed him, even though it's obvious there are things he wasn't telling me, I still believed him, and this time my mind was not clouded by his otherworldly beauty(I think). Now I'm not really keen on introducing a religion of any sort into my kingdom, and to my people. But just like he said, the vampires will get stronger.

"But what would I get in return for doing this, not to mention how am I sure you wouldn't try to take my city for yourself." I asked him as I stood up, only to discover that he dwarfed my six foot two height, by being and entire head taller than me.

"I can take an oath if that would calm you down, even the gods, especially the gods, are bound to their oaths and promises. I won't do anything that would jeopardize your rule over the vampires and any other race you've taken under your wing, and neither would I make choices that would put your family in danger. As for what you will get in return for building me a temple, all I can say is that you would get a teacher, a proper one who would teach you how to be a vampire, and how to be a dragon. After all, I'm not called Dragonov for nothing."

When you look at it, having a teacher seems like too lame of trade off. However if said teacher was a god and the first vampire to have ever existed, then by the time I'm done learning whatever it is he has to teach me. I'm afraid the word normal would never be used to describe me again.

"Alright teacher, I agreed with this deal of yours. I will send a message back home and have a subordinate of mine begin construction immediately. So what's the first lesson?" I asked him as I sat down looking up at him.

"the first lesson is simple, how about you get up, take your lion, go into the forest then find and destroy the dungeon core that messed up my garden and the pets in it. It should be in an underground city about three hours north from here. Do be careful though, this entire forest is a dungeon, so there's all manner of nasty things within. Come back here when you're done."

With that said, he turned into a flock of bats, and just disappeared. I didn't even see the bats fly away. The blue soul fire disappeared, and the campfire returned to it's original yellow, leaving only me and Soren within the glade, surprised that he would just leave like that.

"Master I think this Dracula person is weird." Soren said to me in a pensive tone.

"Yeah, he's one weird blood sucking god. But he's beautiful, who knew Dracula was actually Asian, damn! Pretty boy Koreans and their smooth skin and feminine wiles. Humph! Come on Soren, let's go."

"O....kay? 😕😕"
