Finding Glowing Beauty in Books Chapter 40 part2

Happy Monday…. another month is almost over! We are now already into 4th week of June 2018. How have everyone’s year keeping up?

Oh my….. Lan Ning is out for dinner with Ye Cheng….would Yan Ru Yu finds out about it? What would his reaction be if he did? Would Lan Ning have a peaceful and romantic dinner with Ye Cheng? Is Ye Cheng going to confess and confuse Lan Ning further about her feelings with Yan Ru Yu?

Chapter 40.2: 

Half an hour later, she arrived at the entrance of the western restaurant. She was worried that he had kept him waiting in front of the restaurant. The waiter at the entrance came over to her and asked politely: 'This lady, do you have an appointment?'

'Yes.' She looked into the restaurant looking for Ye Cheng's presence. Before she sees him, he saw her first. He stood up from his chair and waved towards Lan Ning at the door: 'Editor, here!'

'Ah, I saw my friend.'

'Please come with me.' The waiter led Lan Ning to Ye Cheng.

When they reached the table, Lan Ning looked at Ye Cheng somewhat sorry: 'I am sorry ah. Today's meeting was a bit long.'

'It does not matter.' Ye Cheng laughed and took a bouquet of flowers from the table and handed it to Lan Ning. 'This is for you.'

Lan Ning was stunned. It was a bouquet of bright roses, as passionate as a flame.

'This…' Lan Ning slanted her head. Giving her a bouquet of roses and eating Western food. She felt that the atmosphere is wrong.

Ye Cheng smiled at her and said: 'I just saw it when I was passing the florist. I felt that it is very beautiful, so I bought it. Don't you like it?'

'Oh…' The waiter was still standing next to her. Lan Ning grinned and took Ye Cheng's flower. 'Very beautiful. Thank you.'

She sat down on her chair and placed the flowers down. She took the menu that was handed to her. She ordered the cheapest items on the menu and returned the menu to the waiter.

Ye Cheng sitting across her smiled helplessly at her. 'You don't have to help me save money, Editor. I can still afford this meal.'

'Eh…. Getting a student buying me meal, I am really embarrassed.'

Ye Cheng's mouth was slightly raised and looked at her: 'Do not always treat me as a student.'

'Oh…' But you are a student.

Lan Ning did not know how to react to him. Ye Cheng looked at her with a little helpless look. He apprehensively smiled at her and handed the menu back to the waiter.

During the meal, Ye Cheng and Lan Ning had some fun conversation from time to time. The atmosphere on the dinnver table has been very good. Lan Ning was sipping the water from her glass when she heard the prompt message from the mobile phone.

'I apologies. Please excuse me.' She smiled at Ye Cheng and took out the phone from her bag. On the notification bar, there is a recent message from WeChat.

Yan Ru Yu: Where are you?

Seeing the name of Yan Ru Yu, Lan Ning's heart almost missed a beat. She took a deep breath before she unlocked the phone and responded to the message: 'I am out for dinner. What is the matter with Teacher?'

Yan Ru Yu: With whom?

Lan Ning's eye brows moved slightly. He asked such details for what? However, she doesn't feel good to tell the truth.

Lan Ning: One of my girlfriends that you have not met.

After she sent out the message, she sees that there are no responds from yan Ru Yu. Ye Cheng looked at her and asked: 'What is wrong?'

Lan Ning looked up at him and shook her head: 'Nothing. Work.'

'Oh' Ye Cheng nodded with no further questioning.

Lan Ning stared at the phone again for a few seconds. Came a reply from Yan Ru Yu but this time he sent a voice message. It is not convenience for Lan Ning to listen to it now. She put the phone back into her bag.

After dinner, Lan Ning looked at the time. It is getting late. She turned and said to Ye Cheng: 'I have to go to qork tomorrow. Thank you for today's hospitality. I will go back now.'

'You're welcome.' Ye Cheng looked at her and titled his mouth slightly. 'You are heading back on subway? Let's go together.'

'Okay.'

Maybe because Lan Ning is still holding a bouquet of flowers, so it is particularly attractive when walking on the road. Although Ye Cheng is younger then her, but he is a head taller. Both of them walking together, it is easy to be misunderstood as a couple.

When reaching the doorway of the subway, Lan Ning had a feeling of relief: 'Then I will go first. You go back to school early. Don't go running around.'

Ye Cheng smiled at her somewhat helplessly: 'Editor, I am also an adult. Do not always take me as a child.'

'Hey….' Who asked you to be so adorable on the Internet? She waved to Ye Cheng and head to th ticket gate. Ye Cheng looked at her going through the ticket gate before turning to go toward the opposite direction.
