Finding Glowing Beauty in Books Chapter 23 part1

Happy Monday! Another week has flown by… half of June is gone…. How was everyone’s weekend?

Another crazy week ahead for me…. travelling for work and trying to complete my KPI before the next long weekend and public holiday that is coming up….. Sigh…. 

Lan Ning and Yan Ru Yu is back today! Xiao Bei and Yifan will be back soon according to . Please bear with her… too many happening in her personal life at the moment and she need a little time to sort them out… so let’s just enjoy the adventure of Lan Ning and Yan Ru Yu in the meantime…

I wonder what they have in for us today…. Is this the trip where they will slowly realized their feelings for each other? Stay tune! Trust me….. I am as eager to find out as all of you. Chapter 23.1: 

Lan Ning prepared a total of three dishes and a soup. She put the dishes on the table and realized that there were no response from Yan Ru Yu.

She turned to the direction of the sofa and looked quietly over. Slightly wrinkling her brows, Lan Ning went to over to found Yan Ru Yu lying down on the sofa.

His hair were down softly on his forehead, slightly covering the eyelids. Those thick eyelashes with two sallow projection.

Although the same person, but the asleep Yan Ru Yu is absolutely better than the Yan Ru Yu that is awake. A hundred times better.

He will not openly ridiculing and will not irritate you. The asleep Yan Ru Yu is like a dreamy prince in the painting.

Lan Ning looked for a while. Raising her hand on this shoulder, she tap him twice: “Hey”.

The tone of calling him is far from being gentle.

Yan Ru Yu had not sleep very deeply. So when she called, he was waken up. His eyelashes trembled slightly. He opened his eyes and looked at the Lan Ning in front of him.

Just woken up, his eyes were some hazy. Lan Ning’s look at him caused his heart some inexplicable little panic. “Lunch is ready.”

“Ah…..” Yan Ru Yu sounded very lightly with some lazy voice which sounded more magnetic than usual.

“Let’s eat” Lan Ning said and then quickly turned away.

Yan Ru Yu sat up on the sofa and looked at her back with a silent smile.

He washed his hand and followed Lan Ning to sit down. At the dining table, both of them did not talk, only concentrating on eating the food in front of them. Lan Ning, although did not ask but felt that the vegetables are better than the one that she usually eat. Are the vegetables here more special?

Thinking about it, she decided to eat a few more mouth.

After the meal, Lan Ning is determined not to wash the dishes. Since she cooked, the nature of the washing should be done by Yan Ru Yu.

Yan Ru Yu did not say he is not washing but only yawned while walking upstairs. “I have driven a few hours in the morning. Am a little tired. I am going for a short nap first. Put the dishes there.”

Lan Ning: “………………”

Okay. Let it be then. Anyway, this is not her home.

She picked up her luggage and went upstairs: “Where is my room?”

Yan Ru Yu looked at her: “You just choose your own room that you like.”

Lan Ning make a small sound in acknowledgement. She casually opened a door. This is the study room……………..

The study, just as Yan Ru Yu had said earlier, is also placed with a lot of bookshelves. But much lesser than those in the living room downstairs.

She looked around for a while and then closed the door. She went a few steps and stopped in front of another door. Preparing to open the door, Yan Ru Yu inadvertently sounded behind her: “This is my room. If you want to stay with me, I do not mind.”

Lan Ning: “……………”

“No shame!” She whispered a curse and then open the door opposite. Yes, this is a bedroom.

“The I stay here.” Lan Ning looked from the door for a while and then carried the luggage into the room. The room is very large. It has full daylight lighting from the window. There is a super soft big bed. Lan Ning walked over to the window and looked out.

The mountains of trees have been stretched into the distance. The sight in front of the eyes are full of fresh greens.

“It is really good here.” She walked away from the window and began to unpack. There must be someone who regularly cleaned the place. The furniture are clean and there were no dust around.

She simply tidied up her luggage. Because feeling tired, she lay down on the bed. She got up too early, although she sleep for a while in the car, she still feel sleepy.

First, let’s take a little nap. Later in the afternoon remind Teacher Xing Xi to write his manuscript.

By the time she woke up, it is almost four o’clock. Lan Ning jumped up. What does this mean? It means that in a short while, it is dinner time. After dinner, rest for a while and then it is bed time. So this day has gone by!

She pounded on her way down. Her footsteps are very heavy and is making loud stomping noise.

Looking around the living room, she first saw the cleaned up table. The piles of bowls that have been piled up in the afternoon have been washed and put away.

It seems that Yan Ru Yu is already up?

She got to the bottom of the staircase and looked around.

Yan Ru Yu is sitting next to the table in the living room. In front of him is a laptop. Outside the window is the view of trimmed lawn. His shadow shallow on the window glass.
