Finding Glowing Beauty in Books Chapter 25 part3

Happy Monday! It is already the last day of July! How time flies by so quickly this year. I feel like the time has flown by so quickly, I cannot even remember what I have done….. 

As promised, after the cliff-hanging ending last Thursday, Lan Ning and Yan Ru Yu is back again today! What is Yan Ru Yu up to? I must say, he is considerate. However, should I am in Lan Ning’s shoe, I would have been really upset with him too….. hahahaha

Chapter 25.3: 

“What are you doing?” Yan Ru Yu caught her flying fist looking down at her. “Are you addicted to swinging your fist?”

Lan Ning took deep breath for a few times. She started at him and said: “Why did you came downstairs and not saying anything? Is it fun to scare people?”

Yan Ru Yu looked at her and gently frown and asked: “Did you now say that you are not afraid of the dark?”

“Have you ever hear about scaring people is not good?”

“Aren’t you the one going around scaring people? Suddenly screaming and then throwing a punch. My heart almost jump out because of you.”

Lan Ning bite her lips and then struggled twice: “Let me go.”

Yan Ru Yu released her hand and switch on the flashlight: “What are you doing coming downstairs? Did I not asked you to sleep earlier?”

“I am hungry. So came down to eat something.” Lan ning grabbed the torch from his hand and walked toward the kitchen.

This person obviously have a flashlight but did not switched it on. Clearly intended to frighten her!

Yan Ru Yu walked behind her and said with a little light in the voice: “Who asked you not to eat dinner?”

Lan Ning turned and looked at him and said: “Anyway, you lost. You talked to me first.”

Yan Ru Yu: “………………..”

“The person who lost need to do something for the person who win.”

Yan Ru Yu moved his eyebrows: “We never agreed to this in the first place.”

“I now am setting it. In short, you must give me the manuscript tomorrow.” Lan Ning said. She suddenly thought and looked at him in horror, “When the power failure happen, did you managed to save your manuscript?”

She remembered back then when she was writing her thesis, she was with her classmate in their dormitory. As she was halfway through the papers, and she did not had time to save them.

She still remembers the screams of the students at that time.

Yan Ru Yu looked at her and said: “Do not be silly. It is so late, how could I still be writing.”

Lan Ning: “……………”

Is it? Huh…. Huh….

She opened the refrigerator and looked inside. After searching for a while, she turned to ask Yan Ru Yu whom was standing beside her: “Did you not said that there is a week worth of food here? How come there is so little left?”

“A week is the amount for me alone. Now there is you adding in. And you can sure eat.”

Lan Ning: “……………….”

You also eat a lot, okay!

In the refrigerator, there is a bowl of food. Should be the leftover from tonight’s dinner. Although she did not eat, but Yan Ru Yu did not throw it away. He kept it in the refrigerator.

Lan Ning took out the bowl and looked at him. She said: “You kept this?”

Yan Ru Yu nodded. “I have guessed that you will be hungry tonight. So help you keep it. You can use it to fried rice.”

Lan Ning: “…………………”

Although she feel like having something else, but found that turning it into fried rice seems the most appropriate.

She started to fried rice using an egg. Yan Ru Yu left the flashlight in the kitchen for her. He went out to look for candles.

During the time when Lan Ning fried rice, he found a lot of candles. He lighted them all up around them. The room gradually brightened up.

Yan Ru Yu put a few candles on the table. He sat opposite of Lan Ning and asked: “There is no feeling like having a candlelight dinner?”

Lan Ning picked up her chopstick and start eating. She did not want to answer such a mentally handicapped question.

She ate silently. Yan Ru Yu sitting opposite looking at her. Maybe feeling a little bored, he said something unwillingly: “In fact, just now. Cannot say that there is no feeling.”

Lan Ning: “…………………..”

“You get lost!” She smashed the chopsticks on her hands down onto the table.
