Inside Marshall's Mansion.

''Yes, I have a scar.'' Luna showed a little bit of her skin, allowing Madison to see a scar on her waist.

''It will fade away— no need to worry,'' Madison said gently and looked away from the scar.

Luna smiled and nodded vigorously, ''Doctors said the same thing. Apparently, it will fade away till it is almost impossible to see.''

Madison nodded, ''No worries, it didn't diminish your beauty even the slightest.''

''Hehe.'' Luna giggled and covered her scar.

Madison looked towards the upstairs and wondered what Marshall asked from Layla.

After dinner, they left for his office to discuss about his proposition.

In the kitchen, Mariah and Sin washed plates while whispering with each other.

''Did your grandson come to visit?'' Luna asked curiously and remembered the rocky relationship between Madison and her son.

Madison nodded and smiled, ''He is currently visiting.''

''That's nice.'' Luna nodded and asked, ''How did the first meeting go?''

Madison wryly smiled and crossed her legs, ''Well… We were actually late for the meeting.''

''Oh no.'' Luna had a thought that the first meeting didn't go too well, but then Madison continued.

''Plane arrived earlier than expected, but still, the first meeting was quite pleasurable.'' Madison tapped the side of her thigh and moved strands of hair over her ear, ''He wasn't someone I expected, but he is definitely our grandson.''

Luna smiled and patted her knees with excitement, ''I would like to meet him!''

''Well, do you want to visit us tomorrow?'' Madison asked.

Luna turned around and shouted, ''Mom, can I go?''

''Sure, honey,'' Mariah replied and wiped the plate with a towel.

''Heh.'' Luna smugly replied and knew that when her mother was busy doing something, her concentration was usually on the task.

She probably wasn't even aware that she agreed.

Madison smiled and said, ''Well, I guess we will meet you there.''

Luna nodded vigorously, but then, from the corner of her eyes, she noticed the blank screen of the TV changing.

A text appeared on the TV, and colors flashed before an excited-looking middle-aged woman appeared on the screen.

Madison curiously looked at the TV and saw the text.

Her brows furrowed, and she wondered what it was about.

''These pictures are about World Arena, World Bank, and Realm Portals!'' The middle-aged woman shifted the papers in her hands with trembling hands and tried to continue as soon as possible.

After living in the hospital room for several months, the current room made her feel overwhelmed.

''World is changing… But, I won't be there to see it…'' She bit her soft-looking lip, and the tears poured down this time.

With a sobbing tone, she continued, ''Stupid Winter Illness… It was stupid of me to think about getting cured… It is impossible to get cured.''

She touched her chest and felt her heart beating ever so slowly.

Even though the surgery stopped her from feeling the pain for the next several months and slowed down the spreading of Winter Illness.

But, it was still inside her.

Slowly creeping towards her heart.

Once the Winter Illness reaches her heart, it is the end of her.

Her heart will stop, and not even magic could save her.
