Ruan Zhen’s face was ashen as she was still not resigned to her fate, continuing to stare at the Leaning Wind Pavilion.

When she turned around and saw a few whispering servants that were sneaking looks at her, she glared fiercely at them.

They instantly fled as Ruan Zhen staggered back to her Happiness and Fortune Pavilion.

What was she going to do now?

What could she do?

Laoye had only given her a day before she had to leave the residence.

Once she left the residence, she really wouldn’t have anything.

Ruan Zhen’s mood was unsteady and she didn’t see when a maidservant had suddenly appeared in front of her.

She suddenly bumped into her as Ruan Zhen’s brows furrowed, her hand instantly lifting up to slap the maidservant.

“Lowly trash, grow some eyes!”

“S-s-sorry, sorry …” The maidservant continued to apologise but Ruan Zhen was so angry she slapped her again before leaving.

But after she left, she didn’t see the original cowering maidservant suddenly touch her face, her mouth lifting up in a mocking smile.

Just like how Ruan Zhen didn’t see when her hand slapped the maidservant’s face, a red mark appeared briefly on her neck, growing bright and red before disappearing silently.

Unexpectedly, the maidservant left in a carefree manner, not hurt at all until she disappeared into the Leaning Wind Pavilion.

Seeing no one watching her, she quickly darted within.

When the maidservant entered, Lou Qingwu was waiting inside for her.

When she saw her face, Lou Qingwu raised a brow.

Thousand Face quickly ripped the mask off of his face.

Even he felt it was a bit strange as he pinched his Adam’s apple before smiling charmingly, “Master, ‘Thousand Days Intoxicated’ has already been planted within the second madam’s body. If she really decides to act on her impulses and kill the mother worm, the only person who’ll be dying, is her.”

“En.” Lou Qingwu hummed, her eyes narrowing.

She was giving Ruan Zhen enough rope to hang herself with, so if she really wanted to ask for death, she couldn’t blame anyone else.

Ruan Zhen staggered back to her Happiness and Fortune Pavilion, distracted.

But what awaited her was her servants and maidservants, packing up and getting ready to leave.

Her face darkened. “What are you all doing?”

“That …” The servants and maidservants stuttered, looking at her sheepishly.

But remembering that she was no longer the second madam, they immediately stood upright, “Fourth madam said that second madam is about to leave, she took pity on us and has already decided to take our slave contracts from the housekeeper. Right now, we are the Fragrant Plum Park’s people now!” After speaking, looking at Ruan Zhen’s indescribably dark face, they looked at each other.

Then they quickly ran away from the pavilion.

Ye Ji’s red dress spun as she sat down on a chair, taking a look at the mother worm.

“I don’t need you to worry about me!” Anger rose in Ruan Zhen as the more she looked at the mother worm, the more angrier she got

Even if she had become a stray dog, it was still a life.
