Jayne happily obliged.

With that everyone left the premises. Jayne, Emma Dalton and Daniel West recorded their statements at the police station and drove back home.

When Jayne reached, she saw Ronnie waiting for her in the living area. After everything that happened, she was too overwhelmed. She dashed towards him and hugged him. She buried her head in his chest.

Ronnie consoled her. "Baby, you didn't have to put yourself at such a huge risk. I had my ways to deal with her." He hugged her back tightly.

Jayne didn't respond. She was quietly basking in his love. The secure feeling she got when hugged by Ronnie was something only she knew. They both remained like this for a few moments.

Daniel West and Emma Dalton who were also standing there, were silent viewers of their display of love for each other. They didn't know what to do. Hence, they simply looked away in different directions.

Luckily, the maid came to their rescue, "Madam, it's late. Please have dinner."

Daniel West and Emma Dalton thanked the maid inwardly for coming before being fed more of their dog food.

So, all of them proceeded towards the dining area. The maids served them dinner. Since all the three of them were very hungry, they happily devoured everything that was served to them.

After dinner, they all sat down on the couch to discuss the events.

Daniel West and the Chief Commissioner had already communicated a summary of the incident to Ronnie. They were yet to give him a detailed report. But Ronnie, got the gist of the incident. Only he knew how anxiously he was waiting for Jayne to return back home safe.

Jayne finally asked them, "So, how did you two realise what was happening?"

Daniel West now began explaining. "Madam, before we came here, boss had asked us to take care of you at the party. Without anyone's knowledge, there were bodyguards planted at the party specially assigned to watch over you."

Jayne was baffled. At the same time, her admiration for her husband grew big time. She moved closer to him and rested her head

Daniel West continued his explanation, "So, one of the bodyguards reported to me about the obscene activities happening in the private room. So, I immediately took control and we began inspecting the premises without anybody doubting us."

"We realised that the drugging activities were happening only in the private room. Outside the private room, it was like any other normal party. So, even if the police did come earlier, they'd have to go back thinking it to be a normal party."

"This Katherine Bradford is sure very cunning!" Emma Dalton retorted with a sneer.

"But we weren't sure of Katherine Bradford's motive yet. While we were waiting for a clue,  Katherine Bradford herself led us to it…" Daniel West smirked.

"In between, she excused herself and came over to the private room. That's when I saw her adding the drug to a glass. She had also designated a waiter to deliver this to you through Emma… She was supposed to be the scapegoat if something went wrong." Daniel added.

"Oh my God Emma!" Jayne was speechless at how ruthless Katherine Bradford was.

"I knew it very well Jayne. That's the reason I never showed any mercy on her after she betrayed us last time. I'd it wasn't for you, I don't even know what would've happened to my sister and me. So, when this opportunity came knowing, I just cooperated with Daniel West." Emma Dalton sighed.

Daniel West continued to explain further, "That's right…. The waiter who was holding your drink was given a wad of notes to carry out this. I took him to custody and threatened him to hand over to the cops. That's when he disclosed the details. I told him to carry out the same and the winter agreed to."

"But, Katherine Bradford had marked the drugged glass which was supposed to be given to you. The other two glasses contained normal juice. So, I swapped the contents into a similar glass. Thus, giving her a taste of her own medicine." Daniel West gave an elaborate explanation.

After listening to the entire story, Jayne was too dumbfounded to respond. Ronnie hugged her tighter.

Jayne and Daniel West knew that though Ronnie was very calm on the outside,  he was only swallowing down his frustration. In actuality, Ronnie's anger pulsed through his veins and flooded his entire body.

Somebody very deliberately tried to harm his dear wife… how would he even let them go so easily… being very well aware of the side effects of the aphrodisiac, he didn't even want to think what would happen next if she actually drank it.

"Call Mr James Bradford right away!" Ronnie ordered Daniel West.

"Understood boss!" Daniel West got up to call Mr James Bradford, Katherine Bradford's father.
