The Universe Conspired For Us To Meet 181 University Fest-1

By now, Virat was on an emotional roller coaster. The entire evening was full of emotional lows, he didn't know how to react at the moment. All this was too much to take for a single day...

Sanvi continued, "But then Virat, the universe had different plans… Maya was never yours to begin with… Like she herself said the other day, the universe conspired for the two to meet and unite…"

Virat wanted to argue. But, he couldn't bring himself to speak a word at the moment.

Seeing no reaction from Virat, Sanvi was emboldened, "At the same time, the universe brought us closer Virat. The entire universe knew you'd lost your love and you needed someone by your side. Only more love can heal a lost love…"

Virat suddenly stood up and walked towards Sanvi and hugged her tightly.

Sanvi had never expected this sudden hug from Virat. Yet again, her back straightened. This wasn't the first time Virat had hugged her. Yet, after their heart to heart conversation, this felt like she'd been hugged by him wholeheartedly. She felt just the way she'd felt when he had hugged her for the first ever time a few months ago…

With shaky hands, she hugged him back, tears were rolling down her cheeks uncontrollably now.

Virat caressed her back, "Shh! It's all fine now.. I'm here… I'm so sorry for everything Sanvi. I was chasing for the moon when I already had a star with me right from the beginning."

Sanvi didn't know if she was hallucinating… This was indeed too sudden for her… It was her love Virat talking sweet nothings to her… To Sanvi… not Maya… At the thought of it, a flush crept up her face and she instantly brightened even though she was weeping…

Virat drew away from her and suddenly knelt. He hugged Sanvi's tummy and kissed it.

Sanvi didn't know when was the last time she had felt this contented in her life. Virat hugging her tummy felt like joy had engulfed her. She could barely conceal her excitement.

At that moment, Virat spoke up looking at Sanvi's tummy still caressing it, "Hey little love! This is your daddy here… you're my love because it's you who made me realise what it feels to love and to be loved.. Your daddy loves you and your mommy.. Also your daddy and mommy can't wait to welcome you to this world…"

Sanvi was now crying tears of joy… Finally, that day was here… the day which she thought would never come… Virat actually said that he loves her… along with the pregnancy hormones, she felt dizzy with excitement.

Virat stood up right before she lost her balance. Sanvi hugged him and passed out in his arms.

Virat felt something amiss when he felt her leaning on his body entirely. "Sanvi? What's wrong?" He frowned.

He heard no response from Sanvi.

Worried he drew away from her to see Sanvi's eyes closed. "Oh God! Sanvi! Sanvi!" He called out.

He didn't know what to do. He firstly carried her up in his arms and advanced in the direction of her room and placed her on the bed and sat down next to her. "Sanvi! Sanvi! Are you alright? Shall we go to the hospital?"

Sanvi slowly regained her conscious. She held Virat's hand. "Virat… I'm fine… It's common during pregnancy… Don't worry about this…"

"Are you hungry? Shall I get something to eat?" Virat frowned.

"No Virat… Just stay here with me... I'll be fine…." Sanvi said.

Sanvi then fell asleep peacefully in Virat's arms. Virat looked at Sanvi with no expression on his face. His mind was still in a constant fight choosing between Sanvi or Maya though he'd successfully convinced Sanvi to have accepted the baby and her wholeheartedly.

Virat was lost deep in thought on what he should be doing next… Only he knew if he'd still want Maya or he'll let her go for good and live a happy life with Sanvi….

The next day

Jayne had a busy day getting ready for her Inaugural dance. Shirley Symonds came over two hours before the event with Jayne's costume. She'd also asked the makeup artists to come over.

Jayne was doing a ballet performance on select scenes from the world famous play Romeo and Juliet by Sergei Prokofiev based on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Music from the ballet was extracted by Prokofiev.

Shirley Symonds had researched a lot on Jayne's ballet outfit. Finally, after a lot of careful thinking, she chose the color of Jayne's dress to be a classical variation of pink. It faded to a lighter shade of pink towards the end of the skirt. This special effect was created by her specially

The bodice was heart shaped and it featured a V in the front with a nude insert. The dress was adorned with gold trim and beige lace, pearls, swarovski crystals, diamond and beads. The dress also featured nude elastic straps and fabric pink sleeves attached to the bodice that fell over the shoulder in a romantic way.

Even before the makeup was done, Jayne looked enchanting. Without a doubt, only she could be  the 'Oh so lovely Princess Juliet' with whom Romeo fell head over heels in love with at first sight…

Finally the University Fest's Inaugural function began…

All the dignitaries began coming over. Since Virat and Sanvi were invited by Jayne, they too came over.

Daniel West spotted Sanvi and Virat, "Hello Mr Virat Mishra! Madam has asked me to keep you company. Your seats are here… This way please.." He took them over to their designated seats Jayne had already reserved.

After the welcoming of the Chief Guests for the evening, it was time for Jayne's performance.

Jayne walked on to the dias…

And she stood poised on the stage waiting for the curtain to rise up….
