The Universe Conspired For Us To Meet 119 Proud like a peacock!

At the university, Jayne attended her classes. After the Fresher's night, she'd become the current heartthrob of the college. Not just boys, even girls were carried away by her mere walking.

Katherine Bradford who had come to the university received no attention at all. She felt a pang of jealousy taking over her, "Look at her! Walking around all high and proud like a peacock!"

"Kate, just ignore her! We'll go as per our plan for now." Ella Dalton warned before Katherine Bradford could burst out with anger.

Katherine Bradford took in a deep breath and walked to her class. She found Adam Clive waiting for her to come. Her anger vanished instantly. She sat beside him after giving a quick peck on his lips.

Jayne had only one class scheduled that day. It was her Art class. She finished her classes and got back to the Old mansion. She very well knew she'd miss Ronnie like crazy if she went to their Seaview mansion.

To her surprise, Mr Richard Roy and Mrs Caroline Roy were sitting in the drawing room sipping on tea and munching some snacks.

Jayne dashed towards them like an excited kid. Since she didn't have anyone and even Ronnie wasn't around, her moods had dropped. But on seeing her in laws, her moods lifted instantly. "Mom! Dad! I missed you two so much!" She hugged them.

Though it was a short time since Jayne became a part of their family, the Roy's had started to like Jayne a lot. They treated her well like she was more of their daughter than a daughter in law.

Mrs Caroline Roy even got emotional. "My child. We missed you too. That's the reason we're here."

Mr Richard Roy wanted to lighten their mood. "Oh come on child! What do we oldies have to do with you newly weds? We just wanted to give you some space. Else we'd have come back long ago "

Jayne couldn't look at them. Her face was red as a tomato. "Mom, let me get changed. I'll be back." She ran upstairs to their room closing the door behind.

The Roy couple let out a loud laughter and got back to sipping their tea.

When Jayne came back downstairs, she saw that there were two men wearing formal suits sitting opposite to her in-laws involved in a conversation.

When she approached them, she could heard one of them explaining, "Sir, we've a situation. It's-"

He stopped in the middle of his talks when he saw Jayne.

Mr Richard Roy said, "You can continue. She's is my daughter Jayne, my son's wife. I know, we haven't had a ceremony yet. We just had a simple one at the church. We'll announce the official wedding ceremony very soon."

Her father-in-law's very introduction warmed Jayne's heart. She sat next to him and asked. "Dad, what's wrong?"

"It's nothing Jayne. After my retirement, I started a Cotton Textile Company called the Roy Industries. Because of my name and aristocratic legacy, we made huge profits. I occasionally visit the company. He said the company has an issue to deal with. So, I was forced to come here. These two are my Managers." Mr Richard Roy briefly explained to Jayne.

Jayne replied with an "Oh!" Before Mr Richard Roy could talk again, her demeanour suddenly changed. She looked at the men sitting opposite to her and asked. "So what's the situation right now? Explain."

Mr Richard Roy was a very liberal man. He didn't stop Jayne. Instead he pride fully looked at the men like, 'Go on! Explain to my daughter.'

The manager began explaining, "Ma'am, it's that our company's profits are going down because of two main reasons: One, our clothing sales have plummeted to an all time low. We've lots of clothes from the older stock remaining. Secondly, new companies have entered the market grabbing a larger market share."

Another manager added, "Ma'am, all the earlier players respected Mr Roy and never tried to offend him. But now with the entry of new players, it's become an increasingly competitive market. There's no room for sentiments now."

"Well, call for a board meeting of all the Department heads at half past two in the noon tomorrow." Jayne spoke in an authoritative aura.

"Okay ma'am!" By now Jayne's overbearing aura had an effect on them. They quickly got up and took leave.

Jayne turned towards Mr Richard Roy, "Dad, do you trust me?"

"When my son trusts you more than himself, how will I not, my child. From tomorrow, no, from this moment onwards, you'll take over as the CEO of Roy Industries. I'll accompany you tomorrow to the office and announce my decision." Mr Richard Roy patted Jayne's head and looked at her with loving eyes.
