I freezed. All i could do was watch Speranţă and aunt Amelia. The horde of ants killed Tsuyoi on a blink in a of an eye.

Speranţă runned back to me, her hug it's letting me out of breath. But i don't want to told her to let go. I just could pet her head. I raised my head, aunt Amelia was on the floor, i don't know what happened to her, but, something told me she wasn't alive...I have to take us out of this isle.

I grabbed her by the shoulders.

"Speranţă, we have to get out of here, today it's the free day from the fishermens, so the boats should be in the coast."

"Ho- How are we going to make it to there? My father couldn't even make 10 steps out from the cavern. We- We have to wait until the hunters come back."

"Yes, but...we don't know when they are coming back. We-"

"What if...what if they evolve?!"

Now that i remember...those ants were so little and weak, and they almost could keep the posture...They are just normal soldiers, the soldiers more strongs should be with the queen. If normal soldiers can do that, i can't imagine how terrible the strong soldiers are.

A feeling of inferiority covered all my body. The image of Speranţă lying on the floor apparead on my mind.

No! I'll get her out of here! No matter what!

I grabbed Speranţă hand.

"Speranţă, don't drop my hand for anything on the world, alright?"

She noded me.

I grabbed the axe and started walking- Wait, the whistle is gone! The ants probably got back at the colony! We have to hurry.

The coast it's 15 minutes far away from the cavern. Please, don't come back! We started running, it was hard to focus on the road only because the street was full of corpses. The idea of going for the Hunters Central it's already discarded.

I heared how the floor broken, this is bad. I turned around with fear. It was what i was specting. Speranţă runned away, dropping my hand.

"AHHH! Help, someone, please!!"

Speranţă!

The ant flied to her, he probably just borned a couple of days ago because i could still seeing his movements, i runned to him. But he reacted and pushed me to a wall. I heared the screams of Speranţă, i feeled so useless...

Sorry! Sorry! I'm sorry! Sorry for not being strong enough, for you!!

I fainted.

When i opened my eyes i was on the same place, did the ant thought i was dead? No, it can't be, if that were the case then- I started hearing the whistle again. My first reaction was enter inside a house. I could see though the window how the ants grabbed the corpses, including Speranţă...Tears starting to come out from my eyes, i just want to die...

Then a pathetic idea comed to my mind. I sitted on my knees and started to pray, i don't know to what god i was doing talking to, but, i hope that if they are listening, they come and help me. Please, i need your help...Please dear gods of light!

The ants leaved, i don't know where the colony is...Oh no...A place comed to my mind, the cave that was almost under water...I remember exploring that cave when i was 8 years old, i almost got lose for how big the cave was...If i try getting out on a boat, will they hear me? I should wait for the hunters...But what if the don't come back? What if they already knew about the colony? I'm going to die here?

N-No! I'll get out of here no matter what!

I runned to the door, i looked at my left, nothing, now at my right, it was full of ants, they are eating the corpses. They look focused, if i want to make it to the coust i have to be quiet. I started walking, always looking to the floor in case there's something i could smash and alert them.

I don't know how but i managed to get out from that hallway of houses...I was back at the place where Speranţă died, i won't let her die on vain. When i get out of here, i'll grab a group of people to clean this place, so your soul can finally rest on peace. I promise.

I'm already here- What?! Where are the boats?!?! This can't be happening, this...can't be happening...Come think...Someone...someone...has to come back it's that the case...Yes, calm down, they probably adviced the Capital. For now you just have to hide...

I falled on my knees and started crying on silence.

While the people advice the Capital i'll go to my house...I hope my parents make it out.
I got at my home, it was empty, there was no trail of blood, so, they really escaped? I smirked, that's good, i hope they are okay...But...Why do i feel like this? Is it because they leaved without me? No, no, no, i have to be happy because they maked it out! I don't need to worry anymore, i...don't need to worry anymore...

I walked to my room and lied on my bed, i just want to close my eyes and when i open them again saw my mother and father, hering them that it was just a nightmare. This NEEDS to be a nightmare. I started praying again, hoping that the gods sends people to get me out of this hell...I falled asleep.

"Uh? What is this place?"

It's this a dream? But it feels so vivid...

I started looking around, this place feels infinite, but also lonely, the whole place changed to withe to a soft black, the floor changed to water, and i could see at the distance a boat with two persons on it. I feeled this dream was a signal from the gods, they are telling me that they sended someone to me but...just one person? No, there's as to be more, there are probably so many people that they can't show them to me. Yes, it's probably that.

I'll get out of here for the two of us, Speranţă.
