The college students began to leave after eating and chatting at our store for about forty minutes.

Before they left, the spectacled Onii-san called out to me.

"Lunch was delicious, and we'll definitely come back if we can."

"Yes, Please do."

"Ah, thanks for the meal."

"It was delicious!"

"Thank you for coming."

The others then said, However the blonde Onee-san simply left silently.

They then opened the door and left, as I gave them a bow and watched them leave.

They even bought some souvenirs before they left. I was really impressed by the Onii-sans kindness.

However more customers soon came, so I couldn't let the sentiment soak.

I greeted the customers as they entered the store.

"Welcome."

This time it was a group of women, who cautiously walked into our store.

They're probably college students or maybe even office workers.

They are here for skiing though, because they are all wearing ski wear.

I walked over to greet them.

"Waah, cute."

"Beautiful.- – -"

They cheerfully greeted me. Thanks to that, their nervous atmosphere vanished.

"How many?"

I smiled and asked. They looked at each other and said

"Four people. Is there enough seating?"

"Yes there is. Follow me."

I guided them to seats that were recently used by the university students.

If you greet a customer who is hesitant with a smile, your success rate is much higher.

I feel more confident than before, for next time.

After that more trouble groups began to come over.

It's after noon, and a group of three older men came in and began ordering beer and snacks. They have been here for three hours already. Most people have already left, as they continuously ordered more. They have long overstayed their welcome.

They seem to have come on a hot spring trip, their boss is very annoying, and the clientele in their field can be quite annoying. One of them wanted to invite a new female employee, but she declined. However, how they are saying all of this is quite crude.

But there isn't much I can do about it now.

The store is closing soon, and it's likely their last order.

"O-i Onee-chan."

How many times have they called me over by now? And of course I hate being called their "Onee-chan", but I'm working and they are the customers, so I need to suck it up.

"Yes, coming."

I went to their table and took out an order slip and pen.

"Add a beer and Tako wasabi."

"Alright, thank you for your patronage."

I bowed and quickly added it to the slip. There were already so many slips.

But I can't forget my free service smile.

However, I don't know if it had the intended effect.

One of the men, a 50 year old slightly thin haired man, glared at me, and then exhaled.

Then suddenly my arm was grabbed.

"Oi oi, Onee-chan. You can't leave so quickly."

I could smell the liquor coming from his breath. His face was red and it was obvious he was drunk.

His breath is nauseating.

"Eh? Uh, uh what do you want. . ?"

I could feel my back shiver when he stared at me like that. It's terrifying,

"Stay a little longer."

"Huh? U-um. . . I have to get back to work."

"Well, there are no other customers here now."

That seemed to have backfired.

Is it really because I'm a girl now?

Crap, I should have kept my guard up more.

"Hang out with us."

At that moment, he pulled me in closer and brought his hand to my chest.

Shit, I'm stuck!?!

"S-Stop. . .Customer, please let go. . ."

"Oh ho ho, cute!"

Dammit, I left my guard down because I was distracted with taking the order. Usually I am on a bit of guard when dealing with people like this. I guess I was too careless.

I can't move at all. The strength of an adult man is too immense.

"Gahaha."

"That's nice. Let me have some service too."

The surrounding men were all loudly saying.

When suddenly, the hand holding me at my chest let go.

Somebody seized the man's hand.

"Gya, What the heck?!?"

The man's scream suddenly came out. I turned and saw my father standing there, tightly holding the man's hand up and away from me.

He lifted his hand and twisted it. Which made the other hand holding me let go.

"Hya – -"

I ran away from the man as my father finally let go of the man's hand. Leaving the man's hand red.

"W-What the hell was that for!?"

The customer was completely taken off guard by my father.

"Customer, why don't you go to another store?"

"W-What!? Go to another store.- – -."

"This is not a cabaret club. So if you want that go, to another store."

My father said as he glared down upon the older men.

"Though. Whether or not you're a customer, if you put a hand on my daughter. There will be trouble. . ."

His face went dark as he threatened.

Even though my father is almost middle aged, he still has much vigor. In fact in the past, he had the nickname "the bear" because of his physical prowess. And he still has some in him. So there was a strong intimidation to him.

It got silent, as the older men snapped out of their drunken stupor, and  started to have cold sweats.

"I-I see. . ."

"ah. . ."

The older men began to rush out of the store because of the intimidation in the air.

"Oh, customers. You can't leave."

Suddenly my mother was waiting at the cash register and called out to them with a smile.

"Uwaa. . ."

It seems that they were captivated by my mother's beauty and smile.

As if a goddess came to intervene in the battle.

"Don't forget to pay."

"P-Pay."

She suddenly had a check in her hand.

"Yes, sir. Pay the total of ¥30,512."($289.72 USD)

That did not fit her smile- – –

"Pay it."

She demanded. No longer looking like a goddess. Perhaps more of a devil. How does she emit such a threatening aura while still looking graceful with a gentle voice? Is this a skill that she just developed from being a woman?

"S-Shit."

The men urgently took out their wallets.

They finished the transaction as fast as they could, while obviously being uncomfortable.

"Thank you very much."

My mother then thanked them for their reluctant payments.

They then rushed out of the store.

"Yukiya. Are you okay?"

"Y-Yeah. It was nothing."

After those troubling customers left, my father asked me while cleaning up the dishes, mugs, and beer bottles that were still on the table.

"Honestly. Because of that hotel, pain in the ass customers like that are coming more often."

Yeah, I'm sure we just sent them back to the hotel.

After that, I went to clean the dishes along with my father.

"Yeah, that's right. . .But."

This is the first time I've felt like my Dad was so reliable.

"You're so dependable. I need to re-assess how I look at you."

"Is that so? Well, I need to be for my beloved daughter and wife."

Then somebody wrapped their arms around his chest from behind.

"Kyaa, as one would expect from Syuu-chan. You didn't freeze for a second."

It was my mother holding him.

He turned around, and they exchanged a passionate embrace.

"Syuu-chan- – -"

"Yukino, You know I love you."

I couldn't do anything but smile.

*Ring*

"Ah, excuse me. Is this store open? Oh. . .Uh, Pardon me."

*Thud*

A new customer opened the entrance door, saw what was happening, and wanted nothing to do with it.

Well that escalated quickly. Especially seeing as she is 14. Japan is wild. But at least the dad got to look cool. Well that ends the 4 chapter long first day waitressing. We'll probably see more in the future. Maybe even the people met during those chapters.
