The Struggle of a Young TS Yuki-Onna. Chapter 10

Author:

"Brbrbrbr, so c-cold,"

"Endure it Yukiya."

After forcibly being taken from my home, my mother continued to drag me by the hand with her cold grip.

I have no idea where she is bringing me. All I know was that we're going towards the mountain.

"We're here!"

I then noticed we are deep onto the mountain.

I was too busy thinking about how cold it was, I didn't even noticed.

We couldn't really see the scenery around us due to the snowstorm, but I could see some rocks and steep slopes.

"U-Unbelievable. . ."

Where in the middle of the mountain?

This is a difficult spot to get to even for experienced mountain climbers. A ton of people have died or gone missing attempting to conquer this mountain. And yet we have almost already conquered it.

. . .Wait a second. How did we get here? We only left the house about thirty minutes ago. . .

"I've waited such a long time for this. I always dreamed of taking you up here."

"I-I see, mom. . ."

I'm glad that my mother is happy.

If it truly makes her dream come true, then maybe not too bad- – -being an Yuki Onna.

But why do I need to put my life at risk?

"It's cold! Help me!"

I screamed in a horse voice.

The snow is growing around my feet. As wind cracks my skin. Trees are being blown as snow pelts them. The wind is getting louder.

I am going to die at this rate.

We are in a fierce blizzard right now.

"It's nice weather today. Great for training in a moderate snow environment. Don't you just feel the mountain?"

I can't feel anything.

"I'm going to die. I'm going to die!"

That's all I can think of. The temperature feels even lower than our freezer, especially because of the fierce wind blowing onto me.

"I want to go home!"

To the nice warm place we were at 30 minutes ago.

"No, we cannot. We won't return until Yukiya awakens and controls your power."

"Impossible!"

"Ara ara. . .It's not difficult, and we can go home as soon after it awakens~."

"I've never had any powers before. How would I know how to awaken them?!"

Terrible. My body is shutting down. . .I'm about to freeze to death.

"Well, let's get started."

My mother put her hands together in a prayer position towards me.

"Begin a pure wind's test from the spirits, and please grant my child thy gift. For the sake of awakening their blood. . ."

Don't ask for that! Please don't.

"Gyaaahh!"

A strong wind, harder than I ever felt, answered my mother's call.

I was barely able to stand, let alone move. It seems specifically locked on to me.

"If you don't soon awaken. You will die."

"You're saying I am going to die?!"

"Not if it awakens. Yukiya, the blood of a Yuki Onna is in you."

"W-W-hat, t. . that. . d. .d . .does. . not. . .make. . .sens-"

I can barely speak. The wind is drowning it out.

"Don't you understand? Just look at me."

I could hear her voice perfectly despite the wind. She was simply gracefully standing in the raging blizzard in a single thin kimono.

She looks as comfortable in the weather like it was springtime. Even though we are practically in a snow typhoon.

"If you don't, I may need to start taking a more direct measure. So awaken it."

"I-I. . .Don't .  . .Know if. . I . .can. . ."

And suddenly, a strong wind as ferocious as a dragon shot at me.

"Gyaaaaa!"

My body was blown away. I landed and then tumbled down a slope.

"Tsk tsk. . .Seems like your father has pampered you too much."

I fell onto fresh soft snow. Leading to me being planted a meter down in it.

"You must learn how to freely manipulate the blizzard."

I was looking up from my cold hole, and suddenly saw my mother come towards me. However, she didn't walk. She was gracefully floating. It was as if she was being lifted by the wind.

It's like she is disregarding physics. . . It's real?

"Br. . .brbrbrb. . .So cold. . ."

"You must embrace it. Become one with it."

What does that even mean- – –

Fuzzy. . . my conscious feels faint.

A beautiful flower bed. . .I see it. I'm greeted by them.

Memories rapidly flashed through my mind.

Where am I? Crap. . .am I stuck?

 Oh I remember. . .

. . .Why was I worried about snow?- – –
