"Every corner! the night is still young General… if not our condo then every corner of the hotel room for now. No more escapes, just surrender… complete surrender."

Keira giggled on her perverted thoughts then she started looking for Zach. 'Where did he go?' She mused as she looked around the function hall. She had given her hotel room card key to Zach as she wanted him to rest a little but he chose to stay with her instead.

'Had he gone upstairs in the room already?' She thought silently. She became too occupied with her work after the dance, that she lost track of both Zach and the time. Many guests had already left, their crew and staff were also packing up their camera and other equipment from the function hall.

"Keira, we'll go ahead. See you tomorrow," said their editor who was with the cameramen. Keira nodded and smiled… When she didn't find Zach inside, Keira walked outside the function hall to head up to her room.

"Where did he go? When I asked him to go and rest he stayed and now he disappeared! What does this mean Mr. General?" She murmured while she pressed the button for the elevator. While waiting, Keira took her phone and saw Zach's message.

[I am going to the room first. You are busy with the guests right now and I don't want to disturb you… Head back to the room once you're done… I'll be waiting… at the balcony, perhaps.]

Keira chuckled when she read the last words and her beautiful face flushed when she read between the lines, the words he hadn't written were louder than what he had written. Zach was obviously teasing her but she couldn't hide her excitement and anticipation. Finally, the long awaited surrender as a wife… 

"Yeeey," she squealed unconsciously and looked around when she realized that she's still at a public place and she was now a little famous hence she should be careful with her surroundings already. , Anyone who saw her giggling alone in front of the elevator doors would think she was crazy!

When she entered the elevator there was no one inside, so Keira hummed joyfully and looked at her reflection in the elevator mirrors, trying to tidy her streaks of hair hanging down on her face, and removing the unseen creases of her dress. 

"Perfect," she murmured in satisfaction. Though she was tired, her face had a glow that gave off a delicate vibe to her whole persona. Even Keira herself felt she was glowing… Glowing because of love… She giggled again and even moved her body as she cringed…

Then she looked at the CCTV and composed herself.

'Gosh I'm acting crazy, behave yourself Keira!' She scolded herself. She inhaled and exhaled deeply as she reached the entrance of her room and pressed the doorbell. She heard a small click sound and reached her hand to open the door.

The entire floor of the room was covered with thousands of rose petals, making it look like a place from wonderland; rows of beautiful red candles lit the entire room with a dim light; beautiful and exquisite lanterns with lights twinkling inside them hung on the roof of the room and in the balcony. Keira lifted her head from the floor to see her handsome husband standing at the other end of the aisle looking at her with his beautiful eyes, filled with nothing else but love. The adoration in those eyes was enough of a gift to Keira, and as she lifted her legs to walk towards him, he shook his head and gestured towards the gifts.

Keira halted her steps and narrowed her eyes, Zach winked at Keira taking her by surprise by his actions. Ignoring his teasing ways and burning gaze she reached to open the box tied on the first balloon. 

She opened the beautiful packing of the box and when she saw what was inside it, her lips drew in a wide smile. She could have never imagined her cold and aloof General would remember such small little things about her. It contained a chocolate bar of her favourite brand and flavour. Keira smiled but did not say a word.

Pondering what would be the next surprise, Keira opened the second box to find a beautiful picture of her parents with herself in a frame, a photo of her family. Keira grinned and remembered mentioning to Zach that her dad and mom were the most important and her favourite people in the world.

The third box that she opened had her favorite perfume and the fourth box contained a personalised keyring which had the words 'best reporter & news anchor' engraved on it. This was Keira's biggest dream!

As Keira opened each gift, her excitement grew with each one she opened, anticipating a huge surprise in the last gift. 

As Keira approached the final box, Zach reached his hand into his pocket and felt the box in his hand. 

Keira opened the last box and out came a white balloon with the words 'I LOVE YOU' written on it in red. Keira exclaimed in surprise and tears of joy started brimming in her eyes.

It was at this point that Keira looked at Zach who cupped her face and asked, "Keira Chan, will you be my wife forever?" having said this Zach pulled out a small box from his pocket and gave it to Keira. 

Keira took the box from his hands and saw a note attached to it that said, 'You have had all of your favourite things, can I please now have mine?'

Keira blushed when she read the note, because she knew what Zach meant by his favourite thing! And the only thing that Zach wanted and was his favourite was none other than Keira. Of course… he wanted to have her… eat her up tonight!

When Keira opened this box she saw two rings inside, their wedding rings. A customized couple rings like their bracelets, a shooting star connected to each other. Zach put the ring on Keira's ring finger.

Keira's tears that she had tried to stop since the moment she entered the room till now, fell uncontrollably and with pouty lips and stammering voice she said in jest, "I'm already your wife my General." Then she picked the other ring from the box and put it on Zach's ring finger while she continued sobbing.

She was shedding tears of joy...

Zach laughed and pulled Keira into his embrace and whispered, "Yeah, but I did not get the chance to propose to you properly…"

"When did you prepare all this?" Keira asked while sobbing. 

"Well, I took the help of your minions…" explained Zach, referring to John and Jim whom he had tasked to get customized rings for him, by phone before he left for the mission.

"I will pay respects to your parents with my family tomorrow night. I have already informed my family about us…" Zach said as he kissed Keira's hair and stroked it.

Keira pulled herself out from Zach's embrace and raised her head and looked at his handsome face that was brimming with joy. A confident, strong, trustworthy handsome figure whom you can entrust the rest of your life on, and just relax. She was never wrong in deciding and selecting this man before her, as her husband. 

She shifted her arms from his body and wrapped them at Zach's neck as she whispered, "You're trapped General... Forever trapped in Keira Chan's grasp!"

Then she leaned forward, her body closer to his and reached for his lips… This time there were no inhibitions. Zach answered Keira's lips with hunger, trapping her lips in his own as he satisfied himself with her melting sweetness in his mouth.

This was the first thing he wanted to do the moment he saw Keira outside the hotel… Kiss her without reservation… Kiss her and own her like there's no tomorrow.

He had controlled himself enough. Even during the event, if Keira only knew how hard it was for him to control himself not to snatch her away from her work.
