The General Who Hates Me 166 Backfire

Chin's eyes widened with shock when she saw Keira going out from the function hall, smiling and perfectly normal, along with the other guests, bidding her farewell.

At that instant, Chin's heart was filled with an ominous feeling and she ran to the room that they had booked to frame Keira and hurriedly opened it. To her horror, it was Thea in bed with Jeru, both of them passed out with their naked bodies entwined together. 

'Oh shit!!!' Chin cursed and ran inside and covered Thea immediately with a sheet. She instructed her men to bring Thea discreetly back to her own room.

"I want to know what actually happened! How did Thea end up being there instead of Keira? Get me a copy of the CCTV footage inside the function hall," she shouted when they were already inside Thea's room. Chin bit her lip as she looked at Thea. Chin had noticed blood stains on Thea when she saw her naked in that room, indicating what happened. Chin cursed once more before she dismissed the rest of the men so she could clean up Thea. 

If this incident came to Leon's knowledge, all of them would die a horrible death including that Jeru Liu. Nobody was allowed to touch Leon's woman except himself… And yet this happened under her watch. In fact it was her who was responsible for all that happened! And now how would she face Thea when she wakes up? How would she explain her everything? Chin wanted to hit her head hard for failing like this as she tightened her fist with too much agony. 

'What's with that Keira Chan? What kind of freaking luck she has to not fall in any trap!' Chin mused furiously as she watched the footage inside the function room and saw Keira's swift movement in switching the glasses. "Is she for real?" She mumbled in disbelief because who would have thought of such a clever move from her?

Thea finally woke up a little late in the morning. She looked at herself and saw that she was cleaned and wearing her sleepwears, but her body was aching all over, especially between her thighs, where she had been heartlessly pounded countless times.

"You're finally awake," Chin whispered as she went near Thea and said, "I am sorry Madam… I didn't expect that things would turn out like this." Chin apologized to Thea several times and kept apologising to her on and off while she explained to her what exactly happened.

Thea felt her body tremble as she listened to Chin. She did not let Chin to continue further as she whispered, "Please leave me alone…"

Chin immediately followed and left. She knew Thea needed her space now.

As soon as Chin left, Thea's tears fell. She vividly recalled what had happened. After a minute, she laughed like a crazy person. She had received Karma at its best. 'So this is what happens when you try to do bad things to others?' She mused.

Her plan backfired… She once thought that she would be proudly able to get back with Zach, she felt better when Leon was not able to defile her, she felt herself worthy of Zach even though she had left him alone for years… but now even that last string she thought as her wager to reunite with Zach was gone… 

She felt like a total loser… No, she was really a loser to begin with…

"What did I do wrong to have such a cruel fate?" She mumbled as she cried out loud. If she did not take the offer of her classmates to be a dancer at that club, would she have a different fate? Maybe she wouldn't have met Leon and be miserable like she is now, right? All she wanted was to earn herself and graduate so that she could be of help to Zach somehow… But she ended up as Leon's woman. She was too happy when Leon couldn't have her body, she thought of it as a sign, as a hope that she could still go back to be with Zach as she remained pure somehow…

Thea laughed once more as she cried… She was totally broken now, destroyed… She was hopeless. She sat there in a delirious state for a long while, crying her heart out and trying to figure out what went wrong in her life and where... 

After crying for an hour, she rose up to go out and eat breakfast with the team, because she felt she would go crazy if she stayed alone in her room… She wanted to breathe in some fresh air...

Keira smiled looking out in the open sky, after she did some stretching exercises in the balcony of her room. Today would be the last night of the charity event and she could finally go back to the City. Zach was still not reachable on his phone but her father already confirmed he was fine. Zach and his team would be very busy since their fake group at the underworld was making a tremendously big name.

That was her routine, to call her father as soon as she woke up to ask about her husband and to know if Zach was okay if she still could not reach his mobile number…

She felt her stomach's rumbling so she quickly took a bath and prepared to go and eat breakfast at the hotel restaurant. As she walked towards the hallway she remembered Jeru so she messaged him to join her down for breakfast.

She entered the hotel restaurant and saw their team were already eating. Her seniors called her to join at their table so she did. Keira ordered for her and Jeru since she received a reply that Jeru would follow her shortly.

She saw Thea absentmindedly entered the restaurant. One of the cameraman called Thea to sit with them and she followed.

Thea answered Keira with a nod as she whispered, "I'm fine." Then one of their teams added, "You look exhausted though? Maybe you should rest more after breakfast."

"Yes I will," said Thea with a blank smile and ordered her food. Then she looked at Keira but quickly shifted her gaze elsewhere.

'Why is she acting so weird today?' Keira mused but chose to remain quiet. She saw Jeru at the entrance so she waved her hand gesturing him to go to their table. The latter followed and paused when he saw Thea sitting in front of Keira. 

"What's wrong? Sit here. I will introduce you to everyone," said Keira as she introduced Jeru who greeted everybody but acted a bit weird when Thea was introduced to him.

Keira arched a brow as she suspiciously looked at Jeru and Thea. "What's going on with you two? Do you both know each other already?"

Thea flinched and quickly answered a bit stammering, "No, I had seen him before in the office once, but just got to know him formally only now." Keira smelled something fishy with Thea's movements and the same was with Jeru. Thea was in a rush to finish her breakfast and quickly bid her farewell to them to rest more.

'Does he remember all that happened?' Thea thought inwardly as she left the restaurant. She couldn't even meet Jeru's eyes because she knew that everything was the result of their own planning. She had no right to blame the man. All was her fault. All things that were happening to her was because of her wrong choices…
