Under the mist covered water, extending into the distance, water vapors were rising -sheets of mist, launched up as spring water fell into the pond.

Within it, a form is moved quickly along the edge of the pond, and in between each redirected movement, were countless mirages, like snakes dancing in the air; they twisted and warped into countless weird forms. This was Su Chen.

Seeing his body's agile movements at this moment made it hard to believe that he was blind; it could be said that he was as agile as a monkey, as swift as a rabbit.

At this moment, Gu Qing Luo, who's standing on the side, made a move and Su Chen's excellent performance was broken.

Actually, Gu Qing Luo hadn't done much, she only threw a small tine stone in front of Su Chen's path, creating a clear sound as it landed.

Even so, Su Chen was unable to evade.

Gu Qing Luo said, "To be able to quickly master the changes of Vapor Snake Step shows that your comprehension and aptitude is extremely outstanding. Even when you do not possess a bloodline, and you're unable to see and can only follow a fixed path to travel. However, once that familiar route contains any obstructions or surprises, the high movement speed of Vapor Snake Step will harm you instead. Even without your opponent attacking, you will be half dead, should you fall… Maybe I shouldn't have taught you, the skill doesn't suit you.

At this point, Gu Qing Luo was feeling a small sense of regret.

"I personally feel that Vapor Snake Step isn't bad." Su Chen rolled the Strong Sun Pearl over his body, causing the outset to release a constant stream of white steam. Like what he said, Su Chen's Vapor Snake Step currently method of execution was like a programmed machine, which can only follow a fixed path to travel and could not adapt to any changes. However, his opponent was also not familiar with the skill, therefore from Su Chen's point of view, there was still a chance for it to be used during the battle.

"Even if that's the case, your chances of winning would likely not exceed 30%." Gu Qing Luo sighed.

"You are wrong, it will not exceed 20%." Su Chen immediately replied, "Su Qing reached Seventh Layer Forged Body yesterday."

Two months ago, when Su Chen reached Eighth Later Forged Body, he was higher than Su Qing by two layers of power. If he combines the speed of Vapor Snake Step, he should have a 30% chance to obtain victory.

Yet, Su Qing reached the Seventh Layer yesterday.

Although he improved at a slower rate than Su Chen, but he still managed to close the gap just before the year-end evaluation.

Su Chen drew in a long breath. He kept the Strong Sun Pearl and once again ran along the edges of the pond.

Vapor Snake Step was a very powerful movement skill. It was said that when the skill reaches higher levels, one could step on the clouds. Moving through the air, even at a level lower, it was possible to run on water. However, to display this level, you will require the power of the respective bloodline.

As for now, Su Chen's mastery over Vapor Snake Step, was still at an entry level, which let him have an increase in evasion and movement speed. The movement steps of this skill were strange, and when executed, one's body would twist and slide and also possess a certain level of defence capability. Although it wasn't very effective against armed opponents or those that mastered Origin Energy but it is more than enough to handle a Forged Body level opponent within a duelling ring.

It's unfortunate that Su Chen was blind, and so, his ability to wield Vapor Snake Steps is destined to be limited.

Despite that, Su Chen continued to train seriously. Although he lacked the ability to adapt to changes in the environment, but because of this reason, his body's ability to comprehend and understand during cultivation, strengthened. At this moment, he was quickly moving along the edges of the pond, and as he dashed, Su Chen began to immerse himself within Vapor Snake Step, comprehending the skill.

Gu Qing Luo's drop of essence blood began to slowly display its effects.

During the process, he slowly began to feel himself transforming into a real demon snake, using the thin water vapor within the air to travel in the air, constantly performed all sorts of strange changes.

Prancing Snake!

This is the source of Gu Family's bloodline.

However, at this moment, the mist distanced itself, begining to circle Su Chen's body, creating a very thin water membrane around him.

Although it looks unremarkable, but Gu Qing Luo was greatly shocked.

"Hydro Membrane? It developed into Hydro Membrane?" After seeing it clearly, Gu Qing Luo nearly shouted out.

Hydro Membrane represented a certain mastery of Vapor Snake Step; its greatest trait was the ability to condense water vapor from the user's surroundings to form a thin membrane-like existence, providing a certain level of defence capabilities. This was also the true form of the skill's defensive characteristics.

Hydro Membrane also represents the peak of a Bloodless Cultivator's mastery over Vapor Snake Step and normally required three years of effort to achieve; even with Gu Qing Luo giving him a drop of essence blood, it would only allow him to have a deeper understanding of the Prancing Snake's spirit and not immediately increase his mastery. Although he did not know that he formed the Hydro Membrane, an achievement that took many people many years of bitter training to obtain, Su Chen managed to guess that the bloodline was the largest obstruction that prevented him from fully mastering Vapor Snake Step.

At this, he sighed in his heart, but a part of him was unwilling to give up.

His continued to immerse himself, constantly experiencing the presence of that Prancing Snake, devling deeper and deeper, and suddenly, a dragon's roar resounded within Su Chen's conscious.

"Hou!"

Within his consciousness, a large dragon flew up, releasing shocking flames of radiance, filling Su Chen's entire vision.

"Ah!" Su Chen fell into the pond with a shout, sinking to the bottom, and not floating up.

"Su Chen!" Gu Qing Luo ran over, immediately dived into the water, dragging Su Chen out from under the water's surface.

His clothes were drenched, showing his body's frorm, but Gu Qing Luo was not in the mood to bother about that. She grabbed Su Chen by his shoulders and shouted: "Su Chen, Su Chen, what happened to you?"

Su Chen blankly faced the sky like an idiot.

After some time, did his spirit finally returned.

His eye's filled with tears.

"You……" Gu Qing Luo got startled.

Su Chen unexpectedly cried.

He sat up and caressed Gu Qing Luo's face.

She's flabbergasted by his actions and allowed him to continue touching her.

"Su Chen, what actually happened?" Gu Qing Luo asked.

Su Chen trembling replie, "Light…… I saw a light….. I can see light!"

Tears of joy fell!
