Yan Wu Shuang angrily slapped the table beside her.

Kneeling in front of her was a servant that looked like a manager. The servant answered weakly, "After Su Chen joined Jade Truth Pavilion, he followed Tang Zhen around while learning various antique-related knowledge from him; regardless of rain or shine, he would always be there on time and was never late, and has never allowed himself be involved with the business dealings within the shop, passing all of them to Tang Zhen to handle. The servant replied, "I tried but the results weren't big. Except for Su Chen, there were a total of nine people working in Jade Truth Pavilion, three of which are the shopkeepers. One in accounts, two coolies, two serving girls, and one chef; they each have their own responsibilities. Especially after Su Chen came, they have made it clear that no one can overstep beyond their own responsibilities. Some time ago, we managed to bribe one of the coolies and got him to sneak inside the storage room when no one was around. Unexpectedly, his actions were somehow caught by Su Chen's sharp ears when he heard something is amiss. He immediately called for security and caught our guy. That coolie came to us after that and threatened to tell Su Chen who bribed him, in the end, we paid him a hundred crimson gold pieces to leave the town."

"A hundred crimson gold to seal his mouth? You guys sure know how to spend." Yan Wu Shuang frowned angrily.

The purchasing power of gold in this era was rather strong; a hundred crimson gold pieces was enough for that coolie to live a comfortable life for ten years without worry.

That servant replied helplessly, "We did not have a choice; Su Chen is just too vicious. After he caught the coolie, he told him, 'I do not need you to tell me who is the mastermind, I just want to tell you that, they caused you to lose your job because you decided to work for them. "Go then, do not mess up this time." Yan Wu Shaung said with a chilling tone: "No matter what, I want to make Su Chen pay a dear price!"

If previously, her focus was on those properties, after experiencing countless setbacks, the humiliation accumulated had twisted her motive from simple profiting into a hatred for Su Chen.
