Within, a shop assistant was dozing off from boredom.

As Tang Zhen entered the building and saw the shop assistant, his face darkened. “What are you listlessly lazing around like that for? If you do not wish to work then just leave!”

With a swing of his sleeves, he went further into the building.

The shop assistant was stunned after being scolded and looked at his colleague beside him. “What’s wrong with him? Isn’t his temper being too big?”

The other shop assistant glared at him: “Two days ago, it was Fourth Young Master’s hundredth day of entering Deep Red Mountain Range.”

“So what?”

“Are you stupid?” The latter knocked on the first assistant’s head. “The Deep Red Mountain Range was a land of danger, not returning after two days, meant that it’s difficult to determine if he is still currently alive! Would Head Shopkeeper be in a good mood? Have more situational awareness if you do not wish to be unlucky working here.”

As though just waking from a dream, the assistant immediately tidied himself and seriously did his work.

Tang Zhen’s mood was indeed very bad.

Since two days, Tang Zhen had been waiting for news of Su Chen.

Unfortunately, despite the Su Family arranging men to wait for him at the intersection for two days, they were unable to see Su Chen’s figure.

And the later of news for Su Chen’s return, the lower were his chances of him being alive.

Two days was enough to cause many to feel greatly frustrated.

“Ai, that kid, is it possible that he really died there? Pei Pei Pei, what am I saying. That kid was exceptionally smart, he shouldn’t be in trouble.” Tang Zhen said to console himself.

“Head Shopkeeper, there’s a guest who says that he has some heavy goods and wish to discuss with you alone in the Elegance Chamber,” the shop assistant reported from outside the door.

Heavy goods and discussing alone in the Elegance Chamber was an industry language, it meant that this batch of goods have high values but might come from rather unconventional means, therefore the deal required to be discussed privately to protect their identities.

Tang Zhen truly was in no mood to do any business dealings but he eventually managed to suppress his personal feelings and said, “Invite the guests to come it.”

In a short while, the shop assistant brought a person in.

The person was wearing clothes made of rough hemp; covering his body was a piece of beast skin, and on his head was a conical bamboo hat* which was pressed down to cover his face. On his back was an extremely huge bag estimated to be big enough to fit two humans.

Seeing the scene, Tang Zhen immediately gestured an invite. “Dear guest, please seat. May I ask what you would like to sell?”

The person replied with a hoarse voice. “Beast skins.”

Hearing the voice, Tang Zhen got surprised for a moment before he looked at this guest with slight suspicions. “Only beast skins?”

“There are also some beast bones and herbs.” The guest replied in a short and simple manner.

Tang Zhen eyes began to shine.

He stared at the customer. “From where?”

“Deep Red Mountain Range.”

Tang Zhen immediately stood up, “How much are you looking at?”

“Head Shopkeeper Tang can give whatever price deems fit.”

That last sentence had been said in his normal tone.

Tang Zhen, upon hearing it, immediately took off the guest’s bamboo hat

“You brat, you dare to fool me!” Tang Zhen smiled in happiness as he jokingly gave Su Chen a punch.

Just as he was about to laugh out loud, Su Chen signaled him to stay quiet and refrain from creating loud noises.

Su Chen chuckled. “It is not that I dared to fool you, Head Shopkeeper, I just do not have any other methods.”

Tang Zhen got surprised: “What’s the meaning behind those words?”

“Exactly as I mentioned earlier, I have some heavy goods and need to speak with you privately.” Su Chen grinned.

He removed the large bag on his back and placed it near Tang Zhen’s feet before opening it.

Tang Zhen stood stunned.

“This is the skin of an Illusion Shadow Mountain Cat, this is Great Fanged Bear, this is Fury Ape skin, this is Black Scale skin, oh my heavens, this is a multicolored tiger skin? A pity it was too damaged but it could still be used to make some Chinese waistcoats*…… Heavens, there’s so many beast skins and all of them were Fiend Beasts, did you rob a warehouse of something?” Tang Zhen could not believe his eyes.

However, he slowly began to understand something and looked at Su Chen before slowly saying each word. “Can it be that they were all hunted by you?”

Su Chen nodded his head. “A total of thirty-seven Fiend Beasts. I also obtained the skin and bones of normal wild beasts but was unable to carry them back, so I left it in a cave, you just need to send men to collect them.”

“How did you do it?” Tang Zhen looked at Su Chen in shock.

These were all Fiend Beasts, they were existences that were equivalent to Energy Guiding Origin Masters and not just common cabbage, yet Su Chen manage to harvest so many. Even if you are no longer a blind man, his should not be possible, you know?

“This was exactly why I need to keep this a secret.” Su Chen smiled.

Tang Zhen understood his meaning immediately. “You do not want your family to know of your large harvest?”

“Except for Head Shopkeeper, I do not wish to let too many people find out.” Su Chen raised his hand and circulate a gust of wind within his palm.

Circulating wind was nothing strange, anyone who can control Origin Energy would be able to do it.

What was strange was the meaning it represents behind.

Even Tang Zhen, who did not practice martial arts, understood. With pleasant surprise he said, “You have become an Origin Master!”

Su Chen nodded again. “This is also a secret.”

“But madam she…has given birth to a good son.” The old man felt both sorrow and joy, after pondering a moment he said, “You do not wish to inform your mother also?”

Su Chen shook his head. “There are too many people surrounding her, without confirming the people who were working for either Su Ke Ji or Yan Wu Shuang, the secret might be leaked and would only make it harder for certain things to be done, therefore, it’s best that I do not tell her for now.”

Tang Zhen sighed and placed a hand on Su Chen’s shoulder: “Your poor mother has always been very worried about you, yet she did not know that her son had already grown up.”

“From my point of view, it is only the beginning.” Su Chen replied.

An hour later.

Su Chen washed up and changed into a set of clean clothes, changing from his barbarian image earlier into his original elegant and graceful young master image.

Sitting on his seat, Su Chen drank tea that was personally prepared by Tang Zhen. He  had to admit, after living in the wilds for a hundred days and returning to civilization, many simple things that he hadn’t appreciated in the past had become beautiful to him now.

“What do you plan to do next?” Tang Zhen asked.

“We must clear this batch of goods first, then I will return home just and honorably.” Su Chen said.

“This can be done now. Does Young Master wish to receive payment in crimson gold or Origin Stones?”

The value of crimson gold and Low Grade Origin Stones were similar, the only difference was that they were used for different user groups.

“I am already an Origin Master, let’s settle it with Origin Stones.”

“Okay, a total of thirty-seven pieces of beast skin of various sizes and quality, I will keep things simple and trade them for one Origin Stone a piece, so it will be a total of thirty-seven Origin Stones. I will round it up and settle it with forty Origin Stones, what do you think, Young Master?”

Su Chen smiled. “Thank you for taking care of me, Head Shopkeeper.”

An intact low grade Fiend Beast skin would normally fetch a price of one Origin Stone per piece and that was referring to large size Fiend Beasts. Small sized ones like the Illusion Shadow Mountain Cat was worth less than one Origin Stone, yet Tang Zhen bought them at the same rate. Therefore, the act of selling goods to your own people was with a doubt, a very suitable choice. Tang Zhen would not question the source of the goods nor offer a bad price. Although it was his left hand giving to his right hand but he could justifiably earn a killing, increasing his personal coffers.

After settling the goods, Su Chen said, “Anything happened in the family while I was gone?”

Tang Zhen shook his head. “Everything’s fine, only the issue of you not returning had caused your dear mother to be badly worried. If you can, you should return home as soon as possible to set her mind at ease.”

“I will return shortly.”

“Oh right, we have found the man that was controlling Lou Yi, but we have not taken any action on him yet, and so, we could not confirm who prompted the man to do it.”

“Leave this matter to me. Come to think of it, what happened to Lou Yi’s son?”

“With no money to pay his debts, they crippled him by chopping off his hands…from now on, Lou Yi does not need to worry about this son of his.”

Su Chen went silent.
