While the boys talk about Mingluo’s brother, both girls start getting bored . Meng Xiaonan starts sending texts to An Chuxia saying Mankuai is with Han Qilu in the hotel . Her texts go unanswered . What she didn’t know is that Chuxia was eating, and she didn’t have her mobile phone with her to see her messages .

“I’m going to the restroom . ” Mankuai looks at Qilu, annoyed that she’s being ignored . She stands up without eating anything . She might burst in her outfit, so she’s sticking to drinks . She doesn’t want to get fat .

“Don’t know what? Who are you?” Mankuai clutches the sink, fearing she’ll get slammed again . She turns on the water, a lot of it sprinkles on the counter . Her clothes would be ruined with water stains if she’s not careful!

What they see is Xiaonan acting like a gangster, caging Mankuai‘s face with her hand and elbow against the wall, with the other tangled in Mankuai’s hair . Even if Mankuai wants to move, she can’t .

After seeing Xiaonan, Qilu’s heart is unsettled, but he still looks at her coldly . Once he’s three meters away, he asks, “What are you doing?”

“Are you hurt?” Han Qilu carefully calms down Mankuai as she cries in his arms . Qilu looks over his shoulder to Xiao Mingluo . “We’re leaving first . ”

“Sure . ” Mingluo nods as he watches Qilu leave with Mankuai .

Since Mingluo ignores Xiaonan, she suddenly feels betrayed to the point of crying . She picks herself off from the ground where Qilu knocked her over . Her knees are bruised from the tile, but it doesn’t stop her from getting up .

Xiao Mingluo finally looks at Meng Xiaonan when he hears her . She’s covered with water . Her hair is dripping, looking like a wet dog’s fur .

“You… . ”

Mingluo immediately interrupts her . “You wanna know why I didn’t step in to help you?”

From his expression, it looks like he deliberately didn’t want to help her, and it wasn’t because he feared Qilu . As she moves, drops of water from her hair drip on her lips . She ignores his caressing hand . “Why?”

“I want you to remember this moment . Smart girls, like Mankuai, will use their weakness to win . If you were also pitiful, Qilu wouldn’t be as rough on you, at least not to the point of slamming you to the ground . ” Xiao Mingluo sighs . “To deal with people like Mankuai, violence isn’t the answer . ”
