Taoqiu takes her to the sidewalk, away from the building . Meng Xiaonan sees a willowy figure . It takes her a moment to realize it is Mo Xinwei .

Meng Xiaonan has learned to tolerate Mo Xinwei . Despite her arrogance, she’s not all that annoying . Xiaonan found out that Xinwei wasn’t good at making friends growing up, and that is why her only friend is Taoqiu .

“I didn’t know I’m in pursuit of a beautiful woman,” Meng Xiaonan says sarcastically, putting her hands on her hips . “Is there a reason you want me to be late [for class]?”

Hearing her words, Mo Xinwei turns around . With one hand playing with her hair, and the other on her hip, she says arrogantly, “Weren’t you the one who wanted to have a private conversation?”

Before Meng Xiaonan can answer, Taoqiu says, “We’ve already waited long enough, after you took off to see your parents remarry . ”

“What?!” Meng Xiaonan’s eyes widen in emotion . “My two big sisters, how can you fault me for taking time off to see my parents’ nuptials?”

Mo Xinwei steps forward and cups Xiaonan’s chin . “Little fool, you said your mother is pregnant again, and we know that’s a lie . ”

Xiaonan shakes off Xinwei’s hand before rolling her eyes . “If she is, that’s our business to deal with . However, once An Chuxia laoda comes back, she’ll have my back . ”

Upon hearing the threat of An Chuxia’s return, Mo Xinwei scoffs . “What’s the use of her return? Your boss is going to be sent packing from her home . ”

“Say that again and I’ll kill you!” Meng Xiaonan takes off her right shoe and throws it at Mo Xinwei’s face .

Taoqiu realizes the scene is getting out of control, so she shouts, “Stop it!”

“Didn’t you hear the news? Mankuai is applying for admission to Stein . But since she has a busy itinerary, she won’t start school until next week . ” Mo Xinwei sighs and looks away . “I don’t want her in this school . At all . Think about it, would you allow her to go to school here?”
