Chapter 402 - He looked quietly at Ning Zhi from time to time with a smile. (3)

Lu Jue look at the girl’s little clean and fair face through his hair. Her nose was small, as were her mouth and chin. She was pretty.

He felt something smashing onto his heart and his ears that were covered by his hair turned red.

His long bangs was cut bit by bit and, gradually, his clear and handsome brows and eyes began to show.

His eyelids were lowered and fluttering madly. Even his lashes were fluttering. It made one wanted to reach out touch the two thick fans.

Ning Zhi curved her lips. She trimmed Lu Jue’s bangs carefully. She was not good at this at all. Not only did she cut his bangs too short, they were also uneven.

It was lucky that Lu Jue was able to pull it off with his good looks.

Perhaps Ning Zhi was too close to him. Lu Jue’s eyelids fluttered from nervousness. His eyes were darting all over the place uncomfortably.

“Don’t be scared. I am almost done. I just need to trim it some.” Ning Zhi also snipped away Lu Jue’s hair that was to both sides of him, exposing his ears with their beet-red tips.

Lu Jue quickly looked away. Even the bases of his ears were red now.

Lu Jue’s hair fell onto the floor bit by bit. Lu Jue noticed that Ning Zhi had to struggle to stand on her tiptoes. Pinching his lips shut, she slowly lowered his head and bent down.

Ning Zhi was taken aback a little when she noticed what Lu Jue was doing. Then she felt delighted. She touched him on his now very silly looking bangs. “Good boy.”

Lu Jue’s eyelashes fluttered but he didn’t say anything.

Ning Zhi finished cutting Lu Jue’s hair after a long while. She put the pair of scissors down and patted away the broken hair that had fallen on him. She couldn't help but looked at his face with appreciation. “I am such a master at this.”

Holding Lu Jue’s head with both hands and looked at the length of his hair on both his left and right side. “Alright. All good. You are very handsome now.”

Looking at Lu Jue’s beet red ears, Ning Zhi couldn’t help but purposefully rubbed the tips of his ears with her fingers, making them even redder.

Lu Jue looked up at Ning Zhi helplessly. His pitch-black eyes were filled with blankness and moisture, his ears burning.

Ning Zhi let go of him. He touched his bangs that had been cropped very short and told him, “Lu Jue, you should call me Zhizhi.”

Lu Jue rolled the two syllables on the tip of his tongue a few times and, finally, after a long while, said slowly, “Zhizhi.”

Lu Jue hadn’t talked in so long that his voice was a little hoarse. It was, however, still melodious to Ning Zhi’s ears.

Cupping his face still, Ning Zhi leaned into him and wanted to award him by kissing the red marks on his cheek.

Lu Jue pinched his lips shut reflexively and his breathing slowed. He felt both nervous and helpless. He did not understand fondness but he wished for more kisses from Zhizhi.

“Young Master Lu Jue, are you done with the bathroom? Do you need any help with anything?” There was knocking on the bathroom door. The male nurse noticed that Lu Jue had been inside for over 20 minutes.

It was so quiet inside that he worried something might have happened.

Ning Zhi let go of Lu Jue and took a step back. “We need to go out.”

His lips pinched shut, Lu Jue did not look too pleased.

The door to the bathroom opened and the male nurse looked at Lu Jue in shock. “Young Master, your hair……”

Lu Jue’s hair was cut short?

Did he do that himself?

The male nurse walked quickly inside the bathroom and saw the pair of scissors lying on top of the vanity along with all the hair on the floor. Young Master Lu Jue cut his own hair!

“Young Master, did you hurt yourself?” The male nurse was a little worried that Lu Jue would have hurt himself with the scissors. Besides, there were no scissors inside the bathroom. Where did he get the scissors from?

Lu Jue ignored him. He even gave the nurse a look. There was a displeased look on his pale face. He felt that he was the culprit that he didn’t get more kisses from Ning Zhi.

The male reported the incident to Father and Mother Lu in shock.

Both Mother and Father Lu felt surprised, delighted, and disbelief when they learned that Lu Jue had cut his own hair.

They had wanted to cut their son’s hair shorter for a while now. But after his condition had worsened, he would not let anyone get close to him and they didn’t to restrain him for that.

As Mother and Father Lu looked at their son happily, Lu Jue, with his ears red, sat there quietly and looked at Ning Zhi from time to time with a smile.
