He looked down from the yellow umbrella and Ning Zhi's white face with a smile on it.

“Would you like me to jog with you?” She asked.

Lu Jue was wet from head to toe and his black hair laid obediently on his forehead. His skin looked even paler when it was wet. His cherry-blossom eyes were blanked and cold in the rain.

He looked like a stubborn and pitiful little beast.

Ning Zhi was angry but more that her heart ached.

She walked over to him and let the umbrella covered up the both of them.

Lu Jue's deep, low voice sounded moist. “Wet, you.”

Ning Zhi nodded. “Yes, I got wet looking for you.”

Lu Jue kept his lips shut tight.

Ning Zhi reached out to tug on Lu Jue's hand. His hand was both wet and cold. “Lu Jue, the bandage around my ankle is wet too.”

Lu Jue lowered his head. He saw Ning Zhi's foot in her slippers and the foot with the bandage standing in the pool of rain water. His voice was nervous, “Go back you. Go back you.”

“My foot hurt. You have to help me back.”

Lu Jue pinched his lips shut. Water droplets rolled down the side of his cheek. He started walking while holding Ning Zhi's hand. “Back, with you.”

Ning Zhi's lips curved and she said, “The next time you go jogging in the rain, I will come and jog with you.”
