King of Sports 165 Fateful Encounter

Tang Yan finished shooting all the toy arrows in his hand. He was less than 5 meters away from the thief. He threw out the toy bow in his hand launching it at the thief's head.

When the thief avoided the bow and turned to see that the person who had fired at him was out of ammo, his eyes lit up as he ran forward.

However, Tang Yan was gaining.

Estimating the distance between them, he rushes forward, he kicked off the ground with his right foot and jumped forward with his left foot kicking out directly.

As the thief began to turn back for one last glance, he saw the horizontal kick coming from the corner of his eye.

The kick caught him firmly in the face and he was sent back reeling, stumbling back his head spun like a tabletop.

When Tang Yan saw the thief rushing forward, he rushed forward.

The thief tried to grab at Tang Yan, his eyes full of fierceness.

Tang Yan easily side stepped his grasp.

The thief missing, threw a right hook at Tang Yan instinctevely but as soon as he threw out his punch, Tang Yan ducked under it, shot up his elbow into the underside of his arm. He felt a sharp pain shooting through him and before he could react, Tang Yan grabbed his arm, squatted bending over and lifted pulling his arm forward and threw him straight over his shoulder.

"Catch him! Don't let him run away!" At this time, there were a few daring people among the crowd also chasing.

But in the next second, a look of astonishment appeared in their eyes, and the bodies rushing forward stopped unconsciously.

The thief who had grabbed the bag earlier was flying back towards them.

Literally flying!

Bang!"

The thief hit the ground right before them and you could visibly see the air get knocked straight out of him.

He was sprawled out, grimacing in pain but knowing he needed to escape he desperately tried to get up.

"Pin him down, quick." Seeing the thief struggling to get up, a voice from the crowd shouted immediately.

Tang Yan saw the thief being pinned and sat on and smirked as he went and picked up the woman's bag that was thrown down by the thief, patting the dust off it as he went back.

Reaching the crowd, he saw the woman who was chasing thief earlier.

When he saw the woman's face, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes.

Because he had only caught a side profile earlier, he didn't see who it was very clearly, but seeing her head on now, he recognized her. 

She was the female emcee Sun Yang pointed out that day!

There was an odd feeling in his heart.

He walked up to the beauty and reaching out the bag said with a slight smirk, "Here's your bag."

"It's not my bag." The beautiful lady shook her head, then turned back and pointed at her companion who was hurriedly approaching in the distance.

Tang Yan took another look at the beautiful woman and said with a smile: "You're a hell of a friend chasing down a thief for her, can I ask your name?"

"You really don't remember me."

Tang Yan looked back at her with clear confusion

"Uhhh.... I remember you from the award ceremony but I don't think I ever got your....."

"Hahaha you've forgotten all about how you used to run around calling me, Big Sister Bing."

Hearing her sentence made Tang Yan's jaw fall wide open.

He carefully looked at the beauty in front of him and said in an uncertain tone: "Yan Bing?"

"Oh I guess you haven't forgotten me completely afterall, now that you are a star." Yan Bing replied with a smile.

"This...wow... what a small world" Tang Yan didn't know what to say. The beautiful lady who presented him the flower bouquet at the awards ceremony turned out to be the girl his mom called  him about.

No wonder he felt she looked kinda familiar!

"You don't sound excited to see me?" Yan Bing said with a smile, her kind eyes studying him, exactly the same way as when he was a child.

"Cough... I'm it's just...wow this is a heck of a coincidence." Tang Yan coughed twice, and he suddenly found that in front of Yan Bing, his previous life experience was negligible.

"Imagine how surprised I was when I saw you on the podium that day, I glanced up a few more times and went back and called aunty to find out what happened. I didn't know you had become such a big sports star now." Yan Bing said with a smile. Although they hadn't seen each other for more than ten years, she acted so naturally it seemed like there had been no gap at all.

"Sun Yang..." Zhu Xiaoying looked over at Sun Yang and Tang Yan could have sworn he saw her eyes daze over for a second.

Sun Yang nodded and seeing Tang Yan unscathed, he said, "Zhou Jiawei and Shi Yang have headed over to the pool. Let's head back before they start and we get surrounded."

Tang Yan nodded.

"Give me the bag and give me your phone number too." Yan Bing said taking the bag in place of the star struck Zhu Xiaoying.

"010 6552..."

"Well that was quick, she's the girl from the other day right hahaha" Sun Yang began to tease as they walked back.

Tang Yan smiled and didn't explain.

"Ahhh! No, I should have got a photo with them!" Zhu Xiaoying cried, breaking out of her daze.

"Hahaha, don't worry, you'll get another chances for a photo." Yan Bing said with a smile.
