Get Back to You Chapter 50

Shane returned home with 'two, to do things' on his memo . Number one- sending an update to cancel his request for a school admission to all those people he had initially requested, including Deigo . Number two, sending Jayce a message to arrange a meeting with his new editor . After he's done with both, he went to sleep .

Meanwhile, at some bar in the city -

"Mr . Deigo, I think you should call it off . It seems that you're already at your limits . " the bartender spoke .

"Shut up and pour me the drink . That's your job . " Deigo ordered . Although Deigo looked as if he's already drunk, but the reality is different . The man can still go to a drinking competition and win it with ease . Deigo's exhaustion look is all from his work . While he was enjoying his drink, his mobile phone beeped . He took out to check and saw the notification bar with a message from Shane Ricardo .

"Sha . . . Shane Ricardo?" Deigo tried to remember the name . And he got it . The man who said something about getting admission for Giselle's daughter . Deigo quickly unlocked his mobile to read the message .

Shane Ricardo: 09:46 PM

Hello Mr . Deigo, it's Shane here . You might remember me from requesting you for admission in your school for a little girl . It seems that my friend had already found a school to her likings . Hence, I would like to inform you to cancel my request . I apologize if I had wasted your time . However, thank you for hearing me out on that day . I really appreciate your help . Take care .

"Already found a school?" Deigo murmured .

After reading his message, Deigo dialed a number on his mobile . The call got connected .

"Sir?" the voice on the other end spoke . It was clearly a male's voice . The bartender kept looking at Deigo . He was more afraid of the man sitting in front of him might faint at any moment due to excessive drinking .

"Did you get any information?" Deigo spoke arrogantly .

"Sir, not any crucial information . " the voice replied in fear .

"You assholes . I gave you more time . Even an Idiot can do a better job than you fools . " Deigo scolded them .

"Sir, we apologize but it is the truth though . This woman lives alone with her child . Plus, we never saw her going to work except for the nearby school . " the voice responded .

"Lives alone with her child? Then what about the husband or the child's father?" Deigo enquired .

"Hmm . . . Sir, she lives alone . There's no one else she's staying with . Especially, not a guy . So far, we haven't seen the child's father . " the guys reported back one after the other .

"What about the school?"

"Yes, it's Edward Harris Elementary School" the voice answered .

"Alright, what about the Identity?" Deigo asked . This time his voice demanded an answer to this mission's main motive .

"Yes, sir . She is Giselle, your schoolmate . We've confirmed it . " the voice replied .

"Alright . You guys can stop with this and go home . I'll wire you the remaining amount . " Deigo ended the call . For the next few minutes, he was working on his mobile . Basically, transferring money to the men with whom he had just spoken .

After sending them the money, he violently placed his mobile on the table and asked the Bartender to bring out more alcohol . The bartender looked scared, but Deigo's expression was too fierce that the Bartender feared he might get killed if he doesn't pour this man another drink . The bartender nodded and brought out the strong liquor . He poured Deigo a drink in shots . Deigo gulped it in one go and asked for one more round . He drank the second one slowly . This time, his eyes glared at anything it saw . The fierce look he showed literally scared the people around him . With people around him leaving desperately, he took out a cigarette and smoked .

"Deigo," a familiar voice came from behind .

When Deigo turned around, he saw a familiar figure with a bright smile on her face . Looking at her, Deigo's face lit up . All of his stress was gone and he waved his hands up to signal the girl .
