Get Back to You Chapter 20

After having breakfast, both of them went shopping . They visited local shops, jewelry shops, antics place and many more . Later the afternoon, the ladies packed and left their so-called 'date-vacation' . They flew back to New York . Lillian dropped her girlfriend home and then reached her apartment .

"Argh, back to this place . " Lillian stared at the front door . The feeling of being away from home or the homesickness; she never had them . In fact, she felt great being away from home .

"Alright . Back to work . Gotta text Jenna . " She told herself while unlocking the door as she went in . The living room was still in mess . Lillian's way of living can be compared to that of an animal which lives in the jungle . She likes to live in the mess . it makes her feel at ease . But now's not the time to be proud of that . She placed her luggage in the corner and decided to clean her whole apartment .

Lillian lived in a two-bedroom apartment, with a living room which is large and luxurious . It had stairs which run upstairs to the first floor . The first floor had two rooms; one she made into her bedroom and the other ended up as her workroom . There's a kitchen downstairs connecting the living room . The living room has a fireplace and also holds the dining table placed nearby the kitchen . She uses them sometimes for baking . Lillian doesn't know how to cook but she's interested in baking and thinks of it as a stress-free activity . There's tiny bar around the corner; small and compact; Lillian's most time spent location in her home next to her bedroom . The first floor also has a common area that connects the two rooms . It is usually served as the place to relax; has a couch - wide enough to fit a large gang . Kind of like an inside balcony .

Before actually starting the work . she took her phone out to text the people she's indebted to inform her return . As she switched on her phone, she received a text . It was from Jenna . Looking at the message, Lillian felt creepy . She looked around to search for a camera or something .

"This girl . Is there a camera in here? How'd she guess that I might have returned?" she felt goosebumps all over her body . Lillian replied her to stop by tomorrow for work .

For the next few hours, she spent cleaning her apartment, did laundry, vacuumed the place and finally took a shower . Since it was only her living alone, she didn't cook often and had only dusts filled around the rooms . Coming out the shower, she felt clean and fresh . She prepared herself a tea and went to the living room to unpack her luggage .

The time was now 9:00 PM . Lillian had pizza delivered over for dinner . She ate them in the living room watching some random shows on Netflix . Once the dinner is over, she took her garbage out . Finally, she got settled in her bedroom; listened to some old music on her laptop, when Lucy called her . She kept talking to her for a long time . Lucy told her about meeting with the new designer and that it was 'not' a lingerie . Lillian laughed and had fun enjoying time with her .

"It's going to be a busy weekend for me," Lillian informed her cautiously . She didn't want to ignore her girlfriend just after confessing her love .

"The book release huh? That's okay . I'm kind of looking forward to it . Send me your personally autographed copy, directly delivered by the author herself . " Lucy flirted with her in a sexy tone .

Lillian got caught in the fire of love and its desires flamed higher and deeper . They both took the direction of conversation from talking to shamelessly flirting with each other . Until someone interrupted it .

"Wait, I'm getting another call," Lillian replied to check the incoming call . It was Anna . She remembered their conversation this morning . Returning to Lucy, "Babe, can I call you later?" Lillian requested .

"What? Why? Who's it?" Lucy felt discontent .

"It's top authority . I have to take this call . "

"I seriously wish for you to make me your top authority, Lilly . Anyways, you will be busy soon for your book release . Good luck then . Bye . " Lucy forced herself to say Goodbye before kissing her through the mobile phone .

"I Love you," Lillian declared out loud .

Lucy got blushed to hear them from her again . She smiled, waved her goodbye before hanging up the call .
