Get Back to You 41 In their own world

After their romantic date, Lillian invited Lucy over to her apartment. The two spent their night together. Lillian couldn't fall asleep as she stepped out for some breeze. She walked out to the couch area outside her room in the first floor. It had huge french windows. Lillian moved the curtains to watch the night sky. It was silent and dark with no clouds. She kept staring the scene for a long time until she heard her message notification. When Lillian checked, it was from Anna.

Anna - 2:15 AM

Hey Lilly, congratulations on your book and I already got my copy. Started reading it and so far it's good. I will let you know the final review after finishing the book. Good work and I'm so proud of you.

Lillian smiled as she read the message when another notification popped up. It was also from Anna.

Anna - 2:17 AM

Btw, I delivered your message. Thought I wanted to tell you. If it is meant to be, nothing can stop it from getting to you. So, don't fret and keep living. Chill out and live your life. Love you, Anna.

Lillian's face changed the moment she read the second message.

'What did she mean the message is delivered? Does that mean she went to Giselle's party and Giselle had asked about her(Lillian)?'

Lillian's mind was starting to get into a mess. As she stood there distracted and lost in her own thought. Lillian heard a noise; something walking specifically behind her. Before she turned around to see how was it, she heard the voice spoke.

"What are you doing here?", the voice said.

Lillian turned around to find Lucy wrapped herself in the blanket, was standing behind Lillian.

As soon as Lucy saw Lillian's face, she was able to deduct the distress.

"Come here," Lucy called her.

Lillian walked over and got trapped in those loving arms. She hugged Lucy tightly.

"Why do you look so sad?" Lucy asked.

Lillian gave out a smile. She felt safe. It could have been just Lillian feeling lost and empty that night all alone. But with Lucy being there, it changed the game, Lillian's mood changed instantly as she forgot Anna's message for the moment and saw what's in front of her; her girlfriend.

"How do you feel now?" Lucy asked again.

"Aroused!!!" Lillian replied.

"W... what?" Lucy was triggered.

"I mean, you're still naked and I can feel all of you against me, which is kind of tempting," Lillian replied slyly.

"Lilly, I am trying to make you feel better since you looked so exhausted," Lucy grunted.

"Well, it worked. My mood is all changed. So let's go make love again." Lillian dragged her into the bed for their second round of togetherness. Lucy giggled in joy and felt relieved.

Meanwhile, at Giselle's house, Giselle got shattered hearing Lillian's message from Anna. Soon after their conversation, Anna and Jake left Giselle's place. It was late in the midnight now and Giselle's apartment glimmered. All of the balloons and decorations were removed, the place was clean again. The kitchen and dining area sparkled. Obviously, Giselle stayed up late at night to clean the apartment back to its original appearance. After all that cleaning, Giselle was dead tired but she couldn't fall asleep. Instead, she stayed awake in the living room watching some program randomly.

Her mind was in a maze. Throughout the whole time cleaning her apartment and watching TV; Giselle's mind occupied 'Lillian's message' and kept replaying it on and on. There was no expression on her face and she looked literally like a corpse; without a soul. The confusion was majorly due to Lillian's quirky message. It has been weeks since Giselle came back to New York but she hasn't really met Lillian or did try out to reach for her. She did intimate Anna on her arrival which was successful because Anna did inform Lillian about Giselle's return. Also, despite their past, Giselle knew for a fact that Lillian won't be the first to meet her and had expected Lillian might be furious about all of this. Giselle didn't know where to start and progress the situation.

As she kept thinking about Lillian's message, Giselle found out a few things:

*Lillian knew Giselle got married and has a kid now - which is possible because of Anna.

*Lillian decided to live her life without their memories - which can possibly mean that she's dating someone.

*And finally, Lillian hadn't forgotten about her and that she still LOVES her.

The last two points made a huge impact on Giselle- 'Lillian being in a relationship but still loves Giselle.' Giselle was on the verge of cracking up her skull. But, to her surprise even though she had expected these things in her mind already, it was hard to accept in reality. To avoid falling into the pitfall of darkness, Giselle glanced the TV; focusing on the content. It was some funny videos compilation. Despite those videos being funny, she couldn't actually bring herself to laugh and enjoy.

One of those funny videos included high school kids during lunchtime. Giselle felt nostalgic looking at it. She got reminded of Lillian and their life spent together. It was all in past now.

"Not appearing in front of you again uh? Lilly. It might be difficult. Because even I won't be able to stop myself from falling for you if I ever see you again. Remember, it was me who loved you first. It isn't possible to remove you from my heart. I left you believing you might have moved on but hearing you say that my existence will never be banished from your life- damn Lilly. I don't know what's going to happen to us. However, I wish to see your face again; just once even from afar. Just once." Giselle spoke to herself in that lonely living room.
