First Marriage Then Love Chapter 14

Su Yi Cheng drove safely to the address. Along the way, the atmosphere was spookily quiet. Lin Xiao Fen closed her eyes leaning on Gu Heng Wen’s shoulder. Her mouth tightly shut. There was a slight quiver. It was like some kind of emotional repression in the heart. Gu Heng Wen’s face did not show his side of the emotions. He tightly held his wife’s hand and kept quiet.

After he drove a half way home, Anran could not hold back and asked “Mom, do you  know that man?” Actually, without asked her, Anran also knew that the answer was yes, because all of their reactions confirmed this.

Lin Xiao Fen opened her eyes then closed it again for a moment. Her tone was a bit weak, she said “I don’t know.”

Upon saw this, Anran did not ask once more. She turned around and looked out the window while the car was speeding off  the street like fly away.

They arrived at home. Lin Xiao Fen leaned at Gu Heng Wen and went up first. Su Yi Cheng had also ready to go up, but when they get off the car, the phone rang. It was a woman’s voice. He was originally supposed to go back home tonight, and now he did not back. The old lady erupted soon.

Anran saw his eyes and said “Do you have something to go back first? Don’t you want to go up?”

Su Yi Cheng looked at his phone, nodded. He did not forget then said “Something comes up”

Anran nodded representing her understanding. Her heart slightly worried. She had never seen vulnerable side of her mother.

Su Yi Cheng looked at her and tried to hug her. He said, “Go on, I’ll call you.”

Anran looked at him, nodded, turned up.

Lin Xiao Fen had been asleep when Anran went up quietly. She saw Gu Heng Wen carefully tucked in her.

“Dad.” Anran softly called out.

Gu Heng Wen turned, his hand made ​​a gesture to keep silence, then turned out with Anran.

At living room, safe at his father and asked: ” Dad, mom know that man, right?”

Gu Hengwen looked at her, spoke and said “Anran, sometimes parents do not want to tell you those things because it carries too much pain and unpleasant memories. Mom and Dad don’t want you to live unhappy life. Do you understand? ”

“Dad ……” Anran looked at him.

“In the future, you don’t ask such questions again, especially not in front of your mother. Somethings hurtful, the wound will not easy to heal after a long time gone. As you ask her that, it is nothing more than a reminder of her pain. She had been hurt multiple times which made her wound deep. ” Gu Heng Wen patted her hand, he said.

Anran nodded and did not asked another question. Anran did not  know how to sleep that night. She knew her father was sitting in the living room, alone at night. She did not know what kind of love and hatred between her mother and that man, but these were not important. The past had been in the past after all. She would not open it by asking her mother. She remember her own hurt and pain.

Su Yi Cheng back to the military compound. Qin Yun sat in the living room waiting for him. Her face was very ugly. Su Yi Cheng touched his nose and came in from outside. He called, “Mom, still awake”

Qin Yun did not look at him. Her tone was chill, said “You also know this mother, I thought you forgot all about the one who gave birth to you. ”

Su Yi Cheng laughed. He did not pick her words because of her anger. It would be a dead end. He took off his coat then sat down across from her. He  took the military publications in the desk and quited.

Qin Yun surprisingly was impatient to see him without a word. She said angrily, “I’m talking to you. What is this attitude?!”

Heard it, Su Yi Cheng upheld his sitting position, determined by looking at her eyes.

Qin Yun surprised a moment, thinking of what she would say. She waited a long time but had not seen him said a word. She could not help but asked, ” What are you doing?”

“ke ke..” Su Yi Cheng made cough sound. His attitude was quite serious, said ” I, with an open mind, listen to the teachings of an adult mother”

“Go. Go. You are indecent. You have to really listen to me. Good. You also listen to the teachings.” Qin Yun, angrily, funnily, slapped his son.

Heard it,Su Yi Cheng got up, “I am going to see grandfather and dad.” He should walk toward the study.

The day after tomorrow or Monday, I will bring someone to see you. ” He would directly came with Anran to see her. Her mother always worried about his marriage.

“Someone? Who is ‘someone’?” Qin Yun did not respond for a moment.

“My wife, your daughter-in-law.” Su Yi Cheng smiled mysteriously. He turned and walked toward the study, leaving Qin Yun who standing there stunned.
