Chapter 15

Vivian was running and on her way to face a sunflower monster.

 

When she was about 10ft away from where the monster was standing, it turned around to face her and then charged.

 

As soon as she got close enough, she immediately took a step to the side and evaded the orange gas attack of the monster.

 

Psssh!

 

She lunged forward, grabbed the monster with both hands and then ripped it apart.

 

Riiip!

 

Beak!

 

Beak!

 

She quickly turned her head to the direction of where the sound was coming from.

 

When she saw the bird flying to her direction, she immediately turned around and bolted.

 

She wasn't trying to escape or anything like that. She was heading to where she dropped her stick.

 

When she picked up her stick, she immediately stopped and turned around to locate where the bird was.

 

Once she got eyes on the bird, she got into a batting position and waited for the bird to come to her. 

 

The bird continued flying to her direction without a care in the world and its eyes were solely fixed on Vivian.

 

"Come here, you fucking little shit!"

 

"Fly faster!"

 

When the bird finally entered Vivian's attacking range, she immediately swung her stick.

 

Whaaack!

 

BEEEAAAKKK!

 

Thud!

 

Feathers puffed out in the air as the bird was struck and it was sent flying to another direction before crashing to the ground.

 

Vivian immediately rushed forward to where it landed and grabbed its tail.

 

Bam!

 

Beaaaaak!

 

She violently swung its body against the ground.

 

Bam!

 

After the second slam, when Vivian pulled her arm up to swing one more time, the tail snapped and sent the body flying a couple of feet away.

 

"FUCK!" Vivian growled and she threw the tail away before rushing to where the main body landed.

 

She dropped her stick, grabbed the bird with her two hands and then bent its body into two.

 

Crack!

 

The sound of bones breaking came out of the bird's body. She threw away the bird's body and then picked up her stick before resuming to head over to the city.

Grrr…

 

Vivian stood in a fighting stance and a fox was growling in front of her.

 

Woooh!

 

Woooh!

 

"Come on! Come here!" Vivian said and she made feint stabs using her stick.

 

Seeing the fox just growling, Vivian got impatient so she decided to grab some stones from her satchel. But as soon as she did that, the fox suddenly rushed and leaped forward.

 

Rawr!

 

Vivian quickly moved to the side and evaded the attack.

 

The fox landed on the ground and was about to turn around to face but Vivian was already at it.

 

Bam!

 

Arwww!

 

Thud!

 

Vivian delivered a swift kick to the fox's face, causing it to yelp in pain as it was sent flying away before landing on the ground.

 

She was about to rush over to the fox to deliver another blow when another fox suddenly came out from the bushes and lunged over her.

 

Rawr!

 

With the unexpected attack, Vivian swung her stick without thinking.

 

Whaaack!

 

Arwww!

 

The attack wasn't precise but it still managed to hit the fox on the face, causing it to back away. However, it didn't retreat and stared at Vivian with a murderous glare.

 

When Vivian noticed the other fox from earlier rushing forward toward her, she immediately ran away to create some distance and the 2 foxes chased her.

 

When she got to a certain distance, she turned around to face them already with a stone on her hand.

 

The 2 foxes were still chasing her.

 

Vivian activated a skill with the stone on her hand.

 

[Power Throw].

 

Woooh!

 

Riii-Craaack!

 

The stone was covered with an invisible force and shredded the skin and meat of the fox's face and made a cracking sound as it penetrated into the head, killing it immediately.

 

A surprised expression appeared on Vivian's face because it was her first time using [Power Throw] and didn't expect it to be that destructive. However, she quickly noticed the other fox that was already charging so her mind got back in the game right away.

 

As soon it got close, the fox leaped forward and opened its jaws. 

 

Vivian moved to the side and evaded it. 

  

Bam!

 

Arrrwww!

 

When the fox landed on the ground after missing its attack, Vivian rushed forward and delivered a swift kick to the side of its ribs, sending it flying in the air before crashing to the ground.

 

Thud!

 

While the fox was still gasping for air as it lay down on the ground, it suddenly felt someone or something grabbing its tail and then violently pulling it up in the air.

 

Bam!

 

ARRRWWW!

 

Craaack!

 

The fox's body was slammed against a tree, causing a couple of its ribs to shatter and cough out blood. However, the pain didn't stop there and its body was violently swung again. But this around, it was on the opposite side.

 

Bam!

 

Craaack!

 

Arrrwww......

 

The fox was no longer able to cry out in pain and could only let out a weak whimper due to the extreme agony it was going through. The last thing it saw was a blurry vision of the world spinning as it was swung in the air by its tail once again which was quickly followed by another collision against a tree and then complete darkness.

 

Ding!

 

'Unlocked [Body Art Mastery] (Leg Mastery) - Level 3!'

 

The familiar bell sound rang inside Vivian's head and a short message appeared in front of her before disappearing.

 

Thud. dropped the broken corpse to the ground.

 

Vivian dropped the broken corpse to the ground and wiped the sweat on her face with her forearm.

She shook her head and let out a sigh.

I guess at least my INT increased and now I have a total of 26 mana points...?

 

Two points more on INT and I'll finally be able to cast 3 skills...

 

"Speaking of skills…"

 

Her gaze landed on the spell [Poison Strike] which costs 20 mana points to cast.

 

"Well, this one…" she said and didn't continue.

 

She closed the Status Panel, picked up her stick and then resumed heading over to the city.
