The Online Craftsmaster 115 Mephisto′s Reign

Constantine still felt empty, he did have fun spending time with John but somehow every time he was talked to him he had to control himself to not call him Schmied or Chrome, they just felt so similar and he knew that he may should stop meeting him but he decided that he had to live with it or he would hole himself into his room and stay gloomy for the rest of his life.

He even stopped playing King's Reign after he had the talk with Chrome, he just felt like something took away his driving force for playing the game. He hated to admit it but even though he died many times while challenging the dungeon but he had the time of his life while doing so. He liked the feeling he felt when he overcame one of Chrome´s crazy strong creations and he liked when he was crushed by them and managed to stand up again to challenge it once more.

But now the game just felt blant and he had no idea what he should do, but after he sat in his room thinking about it for some time, he just jumped into the capsule and entered the world. Ullr left the territory of Chrome´s kingdom and reached the Kingdom his reigned, at first he felt like something was wrong, he looked back and Chrome´s kingdom even though the environment changed to fit the demonic theme it was blooming with life and hope. But as soon as Ullr took a step over the border it seemed like someone took a eraser and complete created a new world from scratch.

The vibrant green grass Ullr remembered was gone, the whole plain Ullr could see was dried out and dead every spot of grass has either already turned to dust or was grey in color. But what startled him even more was that this phenomenon seemed to go over hundreds of miles over the complete kingdom. Ullr started walking still looking around and have his heart ached at this sight of sadness, he came to a small border village shortly after. The plants on the farmlands around the village were still growing but they seemed smaller and didn't look very appetizing to him.

Also he could see several poor slaves that worked their lives away on those frames, strangely they were all from the non-human race. Ullr knew that he treated those races not equally to the humans but he was surprised to see them in chain being whipped by muscular man on horses. He even saw how one of those man dragged a female wolfkin behind him aiming for a small bush, Ullr knew that the man was up to no good so he couldn't stand by and just watch. He quickly looked around and confirmed that no one was watching him and vanished up the next tree. He took out his bow and an arrow and drew his bow nearly to a full draw, he didn't try out his bow on living beings so he didn't know what would happen but as soon as the man reached a bush, Ullr let go of the arrow and it soared through the air in high speed ripping of the man's head and nailing it to the nearest tree.

Ullr quickly put away his bow and distanced himself from this scene before he could be seen with a bow. He heard angry and scared screams from behind him but he just went on his way. After some more walking he reached another village and entered it to go through it. Ullr felt the hostility that the people had against him as they were observing him, even the guards stared at him but they let him go his way. Suddenly when Ullr walked by a bar where a group of drunkards were sitting on the porch, some of them drew their weapons and encircled him. Ullr looked to the guards and saw that they were looking at him without shame having a grin on their face.

Ullr understood that he wouldn't get any help from them and that they even would be happy to arrest him for hurting these men. Well, Ullr could understand that as he was a demon and couldn't hide it, he looked like he was belonging to the enemy kingdom so it was natural to feel some hatred towards him. But Ullr had no choice, he flexed his muscles and punched the first attacker in the face knocking him out, his friends soon followed as a group of drunkards had no chance against a High demon that tortured himself in John´s dungeon.

The fight was over before it began and the guard reacted slightly late but still confronted Ullr and wanted to take him into custody. But Ullr received a special badge from his Brother Mephisto for safe passage, so he pulled it out and showed it to the guards that were suddenly backing away from him like he was some kind of deadly snake. Just as he wanted to ask them something the guards ran away while the drunkards that were not knocked out anymore bowed down to him with tears on their faces pleading for their families lives, there was even one that after he plead for his family's life pulled out a dagger and killed himself to appease Ullr.

But Ullr could only look at them with shock and just started walking again to escape this strange situation, he decided that he would evade every village, town and city until he reached the capital. The whole country his brother reigned felt strange to him, not only was every human he passed overly hostile but he also didn't see any people from the non-human races except of slaves.

Something was going on in this Kingdom and Ullr decided that he would find out what it was. He finally reached the capital and decide to show the badge his brother gave him as soon as possible, the guards looked at him with fear in their eyes even sending a messenger to the palace to notify his majesty of his brothers arrival. Ullr made his way through the capital and angry and hostile looks were directed his way until they saw the badge that he attached to his chest which changed the looks into fear and brought many people giving him way while others also left the streets hiding in their houses.

But the atmosphere was also strange to Ullr, he could remember when he started playing this game, even though this kingdom wasn't overly rich there were still happy faces and flags and banners in all kinds of color fluttering around. But now everything seemed blant, no flag could be seen and instead of happy laughter you could he soldiers marching through the street. Also there seemed to be gallows and other torture devices on every small marketplace he saw on his way to the palace, often already occupied by a rotting corpses fluttering in the wind.

Ullr didn't like this city, he started to miss Chrome´s kingdom that was so filled with life and happiness, he could remember that he saw a small dwarven child running around playing catch with a demon, a dwarf, a small Mechanoid and an elve while being watched by an old Orc grandpa that was sitting on his porch smiling at the children running through his yard. This memory warmed Ullr heart when he remembered it, he felt like he would have had a happier life if he and his brother had been running around like this, but their father didn't allow it, they had to study and uphold the demeanor of the higher class what meant that they had to learn archery or fencing. They weren't allowed to play pointless games like playing catch or fooling around, their father always said that if they really wanted to play these games then they should hire some servant to play these games for them while they were watching.

To be honest Ullr hated his father, that's why he loved his youngest brother so much, he tried everything he could so that his father gave his youngest son some freedom so he could do as he pleased as he wasn't the main heir of the family fortune. Ullr wanted his brother to have the life he never had, that's why he was so angry when he thought that Chrome intentionally hurt his brother as he would have completely destroyed everything It worked so much for in his life.

And that's why Ullr felt that he couldn't be friends with Chrome anymore, he didn't deserve him, Ullr didn't look after his brother enough resulting in the situation that he blamed someone that just played that game and didnt do anything wrong. It just wasn't fair, Ullr felt like he just lives to suffer because he wasn't good enough to enjoy it, he was the one that worked to come where he is now that is why he liked Chrome, he felt like Chrome knew what it is like to work and to get nothing out of it. Ullr kept being stuck in his thoughts for the rest of his way until he reached to palace...
