The Online Craftsmaster 107 Thinking while crafting

John woke up having recovered from his hangover, he still thought about how he could make up with Ullr but nothing came to his mind. Because of that he did the only thing that could help him think, he went online to craft something to calm down his mind.

But John didn't go to his workshop right away he started by walking around his dungeon for a while to check if something needed his attention. When he reached the first floor he felt a strange feeling and his feeling did hold true. He reached the Boss room and he could never have imagined what he saw, in the corner of the room were several scraplings and Junkling cowering in fear while the smithing bot that was installed was in shambles. John was surprised by that as usually a new one would be installed as soon as possible, but the next thing he saw was startling him even more.

John turned around and saw big piles of dead players, John couldn't believe his eyes as the first floor of the dungeon was already beatable by most of the players as all the informations about it were already widespread. But suddenly John heard a snoring sound and a tiny whimper, he looked toward the middle of all piles and saw the ugliest robot he ever saw in his entire life. It was laying on a makeshift hangmat that was suddenly moving and whimpering, John suddenly recognized it as Scythe that looked in his direction with pleading eyes.

John just couldn't comprehend this picture of an ugly robot violating and missing scythe as a hangmat, so he just turned around and thought that he was still a little drunk and decided to just go to crafting and that someone else would take care of that. Yes, he had to take extreme and Special measures to deal with this situation...Ignoring it.

John reached his Workshop and thought about what he should do for the monsters of the eighth floor of his dungeon, if possible without getting hit by Eva again. The first thing was that he started with something basic he set the theme of this floor as a labyrinth again that fit the design of the temple he created on the seventh floor.

But he changed this temple a bit by letting big roots grow through the whole temple so that they were partly covering every wall while also blocking some corridors. Next he started by preparing a massive amount of metal softening potion and filled a giant basin out of stone in the middle of the boss room in his dungeon. The roots that he created so that they covered the whole dungeon were all ending in this basin absorbing the contents of it.

John didn't waste time and threw an ample amount of steel ingots into the basin and observed them melt into the liquid as he didnt take them out as usual. Next he ordered several robots to harvest some of the roots that absorbed this metal solution while he also made another batch of metal softening potion in which he dissolved a mythril silver alloy, he also added some gold for good measure and put it aside.

Next he started crafting dozens of sharp metal teeth out of all kinds of metals while using the Carving Knife of Greed to carve them. After that John started by making a small boxlike frame and added gears and the teeth to it adding the mana crystal last. The robot started to move even to it seemed completely unfinished as it was not finished yet.

John wanted to use the ability the Carving knife of Sin gave to his creations for this creature, so he started by carving several planks out of the harvested roots and fed them to his creation while also giving it some Gold bars. Suddenly the materials the boxlike mech has eaten started to change its appearance to a wooden chest with golden inlays. John was finished with his first creation and looked at its info.

Race Contraption

A mimic created by a craftmaster that used one of his sins to create better works. It completely looks like a treasure chest and even gathers treasures inside it but the sharp tooth in his mouth are an appropriate countermeasure against looters. By using a Sin to craft this creature it has been given the ability to incorporated every piece of wood or metal into its body to grow in size and strength.

John was satisfied with the first creation while using one of the carving knifes of Sin so but he knew that Eva would hit him if he just used it for every monster in this dungeon, so he decided to make another monster without using it. John grabbed some more steel and a tiny amount of Adamantite and made an alloy out of them which he forged into long round bars. He threw them into the metal softening potion and started working on a giant root his minions brought him. He debarked it and hollowed out several stripes so that the bars he threw into the metal Softening solution would fit inside those grooves.

Next he started working on the outside of this piece of wood and decorated it by carving Scales into it and added a sliver of poisonous mushroom oil to the outside to give it a nice shine while also dyeing it in an nice greenish color. Next he started working on another piece of wood and started carving out a snake head which he also treated with the oil and hollowed it out. He added a hinge for the mouth and quickly forged out some hollowed out teeth and some tubing and a metal tank.

He added everything to the head piece and filled the tank with poison, he then took out he now soft metals rods and inserted them into the body part after which he attached the head to the body after he added the Mana crystal to it.

John looked at his creation and started appraising it...

Race Artificial beast

A giant venomous snake that was created out of wood that absorbed liquified steel which gives it exceptional defensive properties. The body of this snake was also bathed in poison so that every living being gets poisoned if they touch the skin of this snake while having a wound. The Snake can also use its teeth to bite and inject Poison or constrict its prey with its sheer size.

John was nearly finished with crafting all the monsters  for this floor but he didn't have an idea yet for how he could talk it out with Ullr. But John new that he should craft the boss for this floor yet with dark thoughts on his mind so he stopped crafting for now.

He walked back to the kitchen were Claire was waiting for him with a cup of tea so they sat down and quietly drank the tea. Soon after Olaf and Erika came in and sat down too, while Erika just walked to Claire and sat down Olaf did smile and glanced at John with a knowing smile before sitting down, as he just came from the workshop too and knew that John once again did something outrageous.

Shortly after Eva and Vito came online and while Vito just sat down and sipped on his tea Eva walked up to John and gave him a smack on the head while saying: "Could you please Stop?...I was just sleeping when a notification came that you just started crafting so i looked at what you were crafting and even though you did seem to show some restraint you still created something outrageous."

Even though he was hit by Eva John suddenly felt like laughing as he could feel the support his friends were shown to him even though they weren't saying anything. They knew that he felt bad after what has happened with Ullr, they didnt know why John was upset about it but they could still guess that John regarded Ullr as his friend and didn't want to lose him.

But John´s Joy didn't last long as he still had no idea how he could talk with Ullr, He couldn't force him to listen to him and let John explain everything. When John suddenly asked himself something, why couldn't he force him to listen he made a devils contract with him and could use the favor Ullr owed him to make him listen, everything else would be on Ullrs side to decide. So John wanted to stand up and go searching for Ullr when an ear deafening sound roared through the room and a red light started blinking in front of Eva.
