Queen of the World 5 Chapter 5: The Library Room

The next morning, Valerie felt herself being carried and placed down into something. She then hears a whisper "good morning, my child, we are going back home" 'Oh right I was wondering how big our house will be since she is the mistress of a company'.

Dana picks up the carrier and put it into a car. Valerie noticed that it was a pretty nice car. It was a Mercedes-Benz.

Dana takes Valerie to the house and Valerie was astonished 'this is such a big house for a mistress'. The house was a big two story modern house. Every thing in the house was black or white. It had a huge kitchen, that no one ever uses. It also had 1 master bedroom, 4 guestrooms, a huge library that goes up to the second floor, 5 bathrooms, all with showers, a huge closet in two rooms, it has a nice living room with a fireplace and a TV above it, and humongous backyard that you could easily get lost in.

When Zana got Valerie out of the carrier, she carried her upstairs into Zana's room. In there was lots of pink, different from the rest of the house.

Although Zana's walls were white, everything from, her wardrobe to her toilet paper was pink. There was even a pink cradle in there. Zana put down Valerie in the pink cradle and then went to bed, even though it was 9:36 a.m. 'Oh god, this is going to make me sick' and Valerie slightly puked in her mouth.' I really hope she makes a baby room that is not all pink, or else I'm going to throw up all the time.'

2 months later, the baby room was finally finished and Zana moved Valerie into her new room.

Luckily, the room was black and white with hits of blue and pink hear and there. There were tons of toys and lots of branded clothes. Valerie even had a golden rattle, decorated with small diamonds. 'Isn't this a little to extra' Valerie sighed, ' what waste of money'.

Later that day, Valerie's father came into the house to see the new baby's room, as he usually live with his son and wife, and he wasn't impressed with it. "Sweetie, why is this baby room.... so middle class looking?" "Did i not give you enough money for the room?!" he worriedly said. " No honey, I didn't really know how to set it up, so I hired some designers to design the baby room." "Oh I see, well next time ask me to design a room for my daughter and not some crappy designers". "Oh, ok honey", Zana responded sweetly.

" Anyways where is my daughter, i haven't seen for what feels like forever".

" Oh she's in my room playing with her rattle". Zana runs to her room, picking up Valerie and she brings her to her father. "Oh hi, my princess Valerie" Valerie's father said softly. "Guess what? When you turn one, you get chance to meet you big brother".Valerie's father grinned lovingly. "Until then, continue your easy going life my child!" Valerie's father gave Valerie back to Zana and told Zana that he had to leave.

He waved goodbye as he walks toward his car, leaving the mother-daughter pair behind. Zana went back inside the house and she put Valerie down in the living room. Then Zana picks up a bottle of wine and started to gulp it down till there was no more. Then, Zana picked up another bottle and gulped it down. Zana did this 5 more times till she was totally drunk.

Then Valerie heard Zana mutter as she was stumbling to get into the living room "Why cant he leave that conceited bitch and her child? why cant he just stay with us instead?" "May..be if i killed her then he would give the wife position to me".

'when im older is should break off contacts with this woman' Valerie sneered at Zana in disgust.

Zana then fell asleep right then and there on the floor.

'My god, what am i suppose to do now' Valerie thought 'Well i might as well try to roll over'. Valerie then tried to move her body,but she couldn't. 'Why is this so HARDDD'. Valerie became very frustrated and then eventually gave up.

Eventually Zana woke up, and she had a splitting headache. Although Zana had a headache, she decided to pick up Valerie. 'What is this woman doing, she's going to d- WOAH' Zana stumbled again, but this time with Valerie in her arms and she almost dropped her on the ground ' Oh my gosh, what is this crazy lady doing!' Valerie clutched onto Zana for her dear life.' That was too close for my comfort.'

Zana was able to reach the bed in her room and fell asleep once more, almost fall on top of Valerie.'This lady is going to suffocate and kill me one day ' Valerie sighed.

She then tried once more to turn over and this time she succeeded. She started doing this everyday for the past 3 months and eventually she was able to start crawling.

Once Valerie was able to start crawling, she started exploring every nook and cranny of the house. The only place she hasn't explored was the library ,since her mother did not read and the door was always locked. The only time she was able to catch a glimpse of the library was when her father visited.

Ding Ding Ding

'Oh yay, Father is here! This time I'm going to somehow convince him to bring me into the library.' Zana opened the door and Valerie's father walked in.

Over the past 3 months, Valerie noticed that Zana and her father have been getting less and less affectionate with each other. Because of this, he started visiting less and less. The reason he was even visiting was to spend time with his daughter.

Valerie did remember that her father and mother did had an argument two and a half months ago, but she did not know why they fought. She did hear words like "Money", "Daughter", "Wife", and "Son" used frequently in that argument. So then each time he visited, they would talk to each other less and less.

Once Zana opened the door, Valerie's father walked in and asked. "Where is Valerie, Zana?" he glared at Zana while waiting for an answer.

" She's in the living room Malcolm" Zana looked down.

'huh, so Malcolm is my father's name'.

" Hi princess" Malcolm walked over to Valerie and picked her up, hugging and kissing her.

"bwah bwah", Valerie said for the sake of acting like an innocent child. As Valerie grew, she grew more adorable, with her chubby cheeks that anyone would squeeze, her pale skin tone which made her look like a doll, even more so with her big red eyes and long black hair. Half of Malcolm's heart was taken over by Valerie, the other half was for his son. Only a very small portion of his heart belonged to his wife and mistress.

"You wanna come with me inside the library princess?" he asked jokingly. He saw the Valerie's eyes got bigger when he mentioned the library. " Huh seems like you actually do", he said as he smiled. He walked over to the library with Valerie in his arms and he opened the door. When Valerie looked inside the library, she was astonished:

the whole room was filled with books and there was vegetation all around the room as well.

In the center of it all was a small golden desk used for reading books.

Each book contained something different.

There were many books that were in different languages as well.

As a book lover herself, this was Valerie's heaven. Malcolm saw that her tiny eyes twinkled with excitement and he said to her "When your older i can give this house to you" He looked at Valerie with a gleaming smile. Valerie was extremely happy, which made her smile brighter. This smile melted his heart. 'Im starting to like this man more and more' Valerie thought.

Malcolm then brought Valerie out of the library and he placed her back in the living room. After that, he told Zana he needed to leave and that he would be visiting his daughter once again, some time soon.

Zana opened the door and Malcolm walked out of the house, not saying even a goodbye to Zana.
