Queen of the World 13 Chapter 13: School

Another year had passed and Valerie was two years old. She could speak more words, since it is normal for a 2 year old to speak more now. As usual, she was outside with Rowan.

She had a flowy red dress, with a black bow wrapped around her waist. Her hair was tied up into a bun with black lace. She was running around barefooted, as her brother chased her around.

Although Rowan was only 8 years old, you could see defined features forming on his face. He had a soft jawline,but you could see a hint of a sharp jawline forming. He, like his dad and uncle, had dirty blonde hair. He had bright blue eyes and thin lips. You could see very light freckles if you looked closely on his face. But the thing about Rowan is that besides his family and his one friend, he is very cold to others. If you dare come near him, he would glare you down, making you turn away frightfully and run away. In his 8 years of life, he has only made a single friend in which he can be a regular 8 year old with. His father is constantly trying to make him interact with other children, besides his one friend, hoping that his young child's coldness will eventually stop as he grows older. As of right now, it seems that there is no hope. But the future is unpredictable, you never know what it beholds.

"Ha! I got you Val!"

"No, you not" responded Valerie, trying her best not to speak full sentences. As an avid reader in her previous life, she knows tons of words that not many know. For the regular person, speaking baby words is easy. But for a bookworm like herself, it is extremely tough.'Gosh, I can't wait till I become 5' thought Valerie.

"KIDS IT'S TIME FOR LUNCH" yelled the nanny from across the backyard.

"Come on Val", Rowan runs towards the house, with Valerie in his arms. By the time he got to the house, he was sweating quite a lot, since the house was about one mile away. Not to mention, Valerie is quite heavy. The nanny rushes to Rowan, helping him get out of his outside clothes and wiping off the sweat on his body. She then quickly rushes and grabs freshly ironed indoor clothes and puts it on him. While she is doing this, a robot walks to the dining room, grabs the sweaty clothes, and then walks away to the laundry room. Once the nanny finished dressing Rowan, she quickly dresses Valerie into her indoor clothing.

Once they were dressed, Rowan picks up Valerie and walks to the dining table, first sitting Valerie, then himself. Once the food was served by top chefs, who then elegantly walked back to the kitchen, Rowan pulled out his Zenix and started scrolling through it. Unlike other 8 year olds, he is quite interested in economics and likes to keep up with how the economy is doing. So he was reading the news on what's happening with the WenField company, Renovation X, etc. Valerie was slowly eating her food, thinking about her future and what she plans to do.

'Should start a company?' thought Valerie. Her plan was to become independent and powerful person, so no one could look down at her, only look up. She was thinking that she could maybe start a company and grow that company to become a powerhouse in her country, or rather, the world. But only time will tell what she decides.

10 minutes later, Valerie and Rowan here the door open. Rowan yells " Welcome home, Dad". He then gets back to reading the news. " Hi my Buttercups", says Father, kissing each on the forehead.

"Dad why are you back home so early", asked Rowan. Father usually came home much later, when the children are sleeping. "I felt like it, that's why", he responded. " Oh dad, I want know if McMaud Greenway has any graduates for the new movie?"

"Good thing you asked Rowan, we do have two graduates for our new movie. They auditioned and luckily they weren't too bad".

"Who are they?" Rowan was curious on who his father had chosen.

"I'll tell you later, but for now just finish your food."

"Ok dad." Rowan then gets back to eating his food while scrolling through Zenix.

Father then sits down and starts eating his food, while also scrolling through Zenix.

As soon as they finished eating, Father went up stairs to his study while Rowan picked Valerie up and played with her in her room. Soon enough, they all slept. Another day has passed. It soon turned into weeks, then months, and finally one more year had passed. Tomorrow was the first day of school for Rowan, starting his 2nd year of middle school.

*RING RING RING*

The noise of the alarm echoed throughout halls of the large mansion, which were once quiet. The moment that the alarm went off, everything, from the nanny to the robots, to even the chefs started bustling about. Valerie was dreading for this day to come.
