“……not really. I’m just an underling after all.”
“Even demon masters have bull shit like underlings, huh. What a joke the Yase clan is. I planned on slaying that demon next time he does something on his own like that again, but if that demon ever gets to be too much for you, and you want to dispose of him, feel free to contact me. I’ll vanquish him without a trace. I’ll be watching you guys, got it?”
Tokimori didn’t say a thing as Hoshiai handed him a small scrap of paper before he left. A phone number and e-mail address was written on it. It must have been Hoshiai’s personal contact information. At least it looked like they were in the clear for now.
“What was with that guy, arrogantly lecturing us like that!”
Tokimori grabbed Yato, who even now seemed like he was going to chase after Hoshiai, held him up to his face by the nape of his neck, and glared at him sternly.
“Leave that man alone for now. More importantly, why did you get back at those guys, Yato? Being called weirdo by that guy over and over again was annoying, but you didn’t need to go as far as stealing his ticket and throwing it away, that was mean. They weren’t being verbally abusive, nor were they getting violent or extorting money from me. What they did doesn’t really qualify as bullying, does it?”
“……”
“Yato! You promised me when I was in elementary school that you wouldn’t do anything I didn’t order you to do. Didn’t you say you would listen to my commands?”
