Katsumoto’s car stopped in front of the building used as the event space for the Summer Solstice Gathering as he did every year.

“Tokimori-san, your tie is a little loose. Well then, once it’s over, I’ll bring the car around.”

“I’ll leave it to you then.”

After he fixed his tie, Tokimori and Yato got out of the car. Agents like Katsumoto were unable to attend demon master assemblies. Attendants probably only knew and spoke to other attendants. There was still thirty minutes until it started. Without entering, Tokimori killed time outside.

“All right, Tokimori. I don’t think there’s anyone here who will call out their demons, but don’t you dare look at anyone else’s demon.”

Yato squeezed both his arms and legs around Tokimori’s left arm. He carefully looked around their surroundings as if he were on high-alert.

“I know.”

Tokimori whispered in a quiet voice, stroking Yato’s hair.

“If any of them try to look at you, just close your eyes for the moment. I don’t mind if you cover your eyes with your hands.”

“If I close my eyes, I won’t be able to see at all.”
