Xiulan came home with a bitter mood and a furious expression. This was due to Hongqi sent her a message that she can eat first since he'll be very late tonight.

"Mom." Was displayed on the screen. She squinted her eyes while subconsciously question why her mother is calling her at this hour.

Since the capricious mother is calling her so late at night, it might be something serious. She had her phone on speaker mode and lazily put it beside her. "Hello, dear mother. Why are you calling so late?"

"My lovely child, there's an emergency in H city. The Lin family inn sent me an updated report that there's a ridiculous amount of money missing from the past months. I want you to check it for me, please. Your sisters are currently out of the country and I can't leave your father here all by himself. My oh so lovely daughter, help your mother please." That was the initial greeting her mother muttered.

"Ma, I already figured that out. Didn't I sent you the investigation I have collected regarding this matter? I already found the culprit. Sent someone from the Lin family to work on this matter. It's a serious case and I'm not even that close to the Lin family to even go there." Xiulan annoyingly rumbled while she lazily lay on the bed.

"I'm also busy, mom. I have a lot of enemies to destroy. My company is being attacked by rival companies. Aren't you worried about me dealing with big companies? I'm also getting sick because of stress. Mom, please get someone else." Xiulan muttered like a child.

"Oh dear… come here and I'll take care of you while you are sick. You have a great and powerful husband! Let him deal with your rivals." Her mother impatiently retorted but still kindly worried about her.

"Ahuh! You also have a great and powerful husband, he's even an ex-general! Why not let him deal with the Lin family business issue too?! Isn't it faster if he uses his military influence on this?" Xiulan quickly talked back. Her energy is coming back again because of this conversation with her mother.

"You little brat! Your father is very busy and I'm helping him in the Song family business right now. Xiulan sighed heavily again and rolled her body on the bed to relieve her anxiousness. The days ahead would be very hectic and she's not sure how to deal this. It's so busy lately that having idle thoughts for a few minutes could cause anxiety. Her brain kept telling her to think about her problems instead of thinking about other unimportant things.

The Lin inn family issue is actually very complicated since the culprit was the 15 years head manager. She had been soliciting money out of the inn for 5 years now and the Lin family doesn't know how to deal with this. That's why they need an outsider to clean and fix their problem.
